On what crazy ass planet am I sitting here writing this post? In case you hadn’t guessed from the title, my little blog has reached one thousand unique WordPress followers. A thousand of you crazy people are following me and my *sometimes ridiculous* ramblings; why you’d want to, I’ll never know but you are and I could never ever thank you enough.

1000

I’m not going to go with the whole, ‘Jenny in Neverland was started in…‘ twaddle again, all I’ll say is I’ve been blogging for almost 2 and a half years and for half of that time, I didn’t believe I was getting anywhere and felt my blog had stagnated completely to a point where I was loosing motivation. So reaching 1000 followers is a huge milestone for me and one I honestly didn’t think I would ever reach.

But here I am! Over the past year I’ve been working 10 times harder on my blog than I ever have before and I believe that passion and enthusiasm is showing. The interaction with my readers has increased to the point where sometimes I’m completely overwhelmed by everyone’s comments. I wouldn’t change it for the world but I still find I’m pinching myself that so many of you enjoy what I write.

Even through a period of 2 or 3 months where I kinda, sorta dropped off the planet completely and wasn’t blogging, writing or even on Twitter at all, I still had followers who supported me so yeah, you’re pretty awesome. So anyway, before I get too sappy and start crying on y’all and waffle on too much and bore you, I just wanted to say, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Right, enough of the sap, who’s up for some giveaways?

I’m giving away lots of books; some are new, some are my own books which I’ve read that need new homes but regardless, I’ve tried to get together as many little giveaways as possible to say thank you to you lovely lot. Good luck! (Click the link of each book to take you to the relevant giveaway)

  1. Random fact I have a hamster. My favourite cake is chocolate cake, I would love to visit Moscow and see the palaces. The creepiest film I have ever seen was Arachnophobia. I love sending flowers to people and I always think the saying “How can you be unhappy when the sunshines out your bum.”

  2. My favourite thing about Christmas is everything! I just love the atmosphere. If I really had to pick something probably the music

  3. A random fact about myself is that I’m a final year natural sciences student, but when I’ve graduated I hope to become a chef! (The perils of choosing a degree when you’re way too young to know what you want to do with your life) xx

  4. A random fact about myself: I’m studying toward a History degree, though already have a 2:1 in Criminology 🙂

  5. Congratulations to getting 1000 blog followers, Jenny! You deserve every single one of them ^_^ I really love the selection of books you’ve got there, Where Rainbows End is one of my favourites.

  6. Well done Jenny! All your hard work and dedication is paying off 🙂
The creepiest film I’ve ever watched was probably The Blair Witch Project; scared me shitless lol

  7. My favourite thing about Christmas is the atmosphere, from going to fairs, the day itself when everyone is together just chilling out watching telly and eating chocs! Congrats on the followers Jenny, that is a brilliant milestone, i’d love to get to even half of that! xx

  8. I am a forty something mother with a young family. This is the first year that the little ones have any understanding of what is going on. Although it will be exhausting, I am looking forward to everything from the panto to setting our family traditions. I think the big thing for me will be watching the excitement build in them and watching their little faces when they see all the presents that Santa will bring.

  9. My favourite thing about Christmas are all the traditions we set during wise my four grow up children. Advent calendars, mince pies for Santa, church Carol service etc
