My Favourite Apps

We live in a world where there is an app for everything. Like literally everything. And whilst I have an awful lot of old-fashioned ideas and genuinely do miss a much simpler time when there wasn’t an iPhone or iPad in sight, even I have to admit that for convenience and entertainment purposes… Apps rock. And who doesn’t love something that makes your life that little bit easier? I love downloading and trying new apps so here are some of my favourite ones!

My Favourite Apps

Morrisons: I know right, how boring of me, to start with a grocery shopping app but seriously, it takes like 5 less hours to do your shopping with (even compared to the website which I’ve found to be quite slow) and the Morrisons app is so easy to use. Being able to quickly and easily do a grocery shop whilst multitasking or on the go is a big thumbs up from me. I sound so old…

Kitchen Scramble: This is literally the best game ever – I started playing it on Facebook years ago but it was far too slow but the app is brilliant and it never freezes and it’s so damn addictive I just can’t. If you love those lame ass games where you run a kitchen or a food stall and have to make dishes to reach targets and get coins then this is definitely for you. If not, don’t judge me.

Disney Crossy Road: Again, I’d appreciate it if you didn’t judge me but who knew how much fun trying not to get hit by a car would be?! I remember a friend of mine showing me the normal crossy road app ages ago and quite rightly, I rolled my eyes a bit since downloading the Disney version, I take it all back. The simplest arcade game: just don’t get hit by a car. Or an elephant. Or a flying barrel. Plus, it requires no internet so it’s great for on the go!

HSBC: I only started mobile banking a couple of months ago and I don’t know what took me so long to do it because it makes life so much easier and the HSBC app is so straight-forward and easy to use. Instead of having to go to the bank every time I wanted to make a transfer, it takes 2 minutes on the app. I’ve never had any problems with it and just yes. Yes, yes, yes.

Colorfy: I never really gave into the colouring book phase. I tried it and bought a book but after one photo I figured I probably wouldn’t do anymore because it was all a bit of… Faff. But I found this app which is essentially, a colouring book for your phone and it is brilliant. It’s so relaxing and quick and I think that’s the main reason I didn’t get on with a real life colouring book – because it took too long. I like to see results quickly and Colorfy is ideal for that.

WordPress: I like the WordPress app for doing the basic things. It’s great and easier for checking your stats, comments, likes etc. although I can’t write an entire post on it with all the features I like (like adding photos and links). It’s perfect for replying to comments because I find it just takes so much less time and never freezes, like my laptop so often does.

What are some apps you couldn’t live without? Are you a techaholic or a bit of a technophobe? Let me know!

  1. I love when people share the apps they love!! I never know what’s good or stupid or worth the money. Anyway, I am one of those people who like the play the running a restaurant, hair salon, kitchen, whatever games. I love them!! I don’t really play games on my phone, but that is one that I would. Colorfy also sound pretty cool 🙂

    1. Haha I am a sucker for kitchen games! The ones I mention are all free – it’s a lot of fun (: I never pay for apps. There’s too many great free ones.

  2. FBReader is one app I cannot truly live without. Since I do not have a kindle this ebook reader is the next best thing!

    1. Ooh I bet! Bet it’s really handy to have that on your phone!
