Guest Post: Top Five Places I Would Most Like to Visit and Why (& Giveaway!)

I’m not shy to a bit of wanderlust – spending hours on Pinterest lusting over the green forests, the crystal clear waters, the perfect beaches and the endless supply of ‘Places you must visit’ posts. Although chances are I’ll never actually make it to any of these places, a girl can still dream from afar right? Today I have Bella Osborne, author of A Family Holiday talking about 5 places she would most love to visit! And make sure you scroll down to the end of the post for a cheeky little giveaway!

Guest Post Five Places

Hi Jenny and thank you for having me on your blog. My latest novel ‘A Family Holiday’ is partly set in a beautiful part of the world so continuing that theme here are my…

Top five Places I would like to visit most and why

Aruba – I love, love, love the Caribbean and I’ve been lucky enough to visit there many times BC (Before Child) but one place I haven’t made it to is Aruba. I hear it’s amazing at New Year as they let off firecrackers in the streets and the fireworks are something to behold so it’s very high on my wish list!

Perth, Australia – My grandmother and her family emigrated when she was just seven but tragically her father died and they had to return to England. I would love to see the area where she lived as it has never been visited by any of my family.

The Rockies, Canada – This is a bit of a cheat as I have already visited the Rockies but I absolutely loved it and I want to take our daughter there when she’s old enough to appreciate the vast beauty of it. Seeing grizzly bears and whales in the wild is something that stays with you for life.

Brazil – When I think of Brazil I think of the diversity of the Rio carnival and the Amazon rainforest. Of all the large waterfalls in the world the Iguazu Falls on the Brazil/Argentina border are the ones that interest me the most. I’ve only seen pictures of this impressive waterfall but it looks stunning and I’d like to experience it for myself.

Monaco – I’ve visited France but never made it down as far as Monaco. Monaco has made it onto my holiday shortlist many times but it’s never made the final cut! I think I might be subconsciously waiting to win the lottery before I go! As a place synonymous with wealth I think it would be best enjoyed with money in your pocket.

Perhaps one day I’ll be able to tick some of these off my list – we can but dream!

About the Book

untitledBlurb: ‘Heartwarming and funny from an exciting new talent’ – Katie Fforde

She’ll do whatever it takes to keep this family together…

As the nanny to four quirky but loveable children, Charlie French has learnt that if there was ever a cement shortage Weetabix would be a viable substitute and that YouTube videos can go viral in seconds, much to her horror. But, most importantly, she’s learnt that whatever happens you stick together as a family.

When tragedy strikes, Charlie is forced to decide whether it’s time to move on or fight to keep the children she loves. With the distraction of the children’s gorgeous Uncle Felix and the chance of a holiday in stunning Antigua, she’s left wondering if turquoise seas can wash away their present troubles. Is the pull of white sand beaches too tempting to resist or will paradise fail to keep them all together?

A gorgeous summery beach read, perfect for fans of Katie Fforde, Carole Matthews and Jill Mansell.

  1. I’m a bit (a lot!) of a holiday addict, so would happily visit all of them places! I have always wanted to visit Mexico myself, and my dreams came true because I’m going in August! Eeeek. Can’t wait. 😀 xx

  2. They all sound great places to visit. I would love to go to The Rockies too!

I’ve been to a couple of National Parks in America but it would be lovely to go back and see them again. Along with seeing the others that I didn’t get chance to see. Yellowstone National Park was pretty amazing!

I’m hoping once my children are older we can carry on doing a bit more travelling together.

    1. I’m not in America but in the UK there are some beautiful national parks. I’ve been to Snowdonia National Park and stayed in a cottage in the middle of the mountains it was truly magical x

      1. It’s weird I live in England but I’ve been to the national parks in the US but none in the UK. I will have to make the effort to travel more in the UK. It will be easier to do aswell with young children x

      2. It was on a coach tour we did from Chicago to LA so we managed to visit a lot of places in one go!

There are loads of places I want to visit in the UK. I would especially like to go to Cornwall and The Lake District. I don’t drive so getting the train to certain places can be a bit tricky! x

      3. I’ve been to both Cornwall and the Lakes and they are both AMAZING. Cornwall was a school trip activities holiday for a few of us and it was so much fun but the area was gorgeous too
