I love me a good subscription box! The excitement and suspense of receiving it through the post and not knowing what lies within it is one of life’s little pleasures that make me smile. A bookish subscription box is every book lovers dream and when Cratejoy contacted me about just that, I just had to get involved. I received the Fresh Fiction: Box Not to Miss box through the post, which is just one of many bookish themed boxes they offer (seriously, go look at them all!) I was super excited to open it and see what was inside, as it could be anything from any different genre. So let’s dive in and see what I got, shall we?

Fresh Fiction

I received 4 books in my box, the one which stood out to me the most was ‘The Bones of You’ by Debbie Howells. Psychological Thriller is one of my favourite genres and the genre I’m reading most of at the moment as well so this book definitely jumped out at me! It sounds super exciting and intriguing and oh-so thrilling so I’m really excited to read this one.

The Bones of You

The next one which appealed to me was ‘Last Ride to Graceland’ by Kim Wright. Not my usual read but I absolutely adore the pretty pastel cover. A girl who wants to find out about her mother’s intriguing past and who her real father is combined with the story of Elvis and his last day sounds oh-so interesting so I’ll definitely be giving this one a read! And in fact, the more I read the back of this book the more I want to read it – I’ve also been listening to Walking in Memphis all day since opening this box so yeah, thanks for that.

Last Ride to Graceland

The final 2 I received were Wed by Fortune by Judy Duarte and High Season by Jessica Whitman. These are two romance novels and in all honesty, I’m not a massive fan of romance but I think High Season does sound quite good as the main protagonist is a female vet, which I think would be interesting as I love animals and strong female leads.

Books

The box arrived really quickly, with everything in tact and I’m super impressed with what I’ve seen of Cratejoy so far. Their extensive selection of subscription boxes is amazing – from books, to pets, to home-ware, beauty, fashion, men’s, women’s, the list is endless and literally something for everyone! I’ve spent so long scrolling through their boxes, lusting after them! They would also make amazing gifts for someone!

You can find the Fresh Fiction: Box Not to Miss Subscription box here, as well as many, many more boxes to cater for everyone!

  1. This is such a cool giveaway! I have never heard of anything like this but (after visiting the site) I really like all the different boxes. I especially like the OwlCrate because it does’t just have books, but also unique items. And I love owls soooooo I’m a little biased :3

  2. So many boxes to choose from, but I like the sound of the Trosta box. I’d check out the bookish ones, but I’m already swimming in books as it is 😉 Thanks for the chance!

  3. Ooh, I love the idea of a bookish subscription box! Also, I’m now listening to Walking in Memphis. 😀 Hope you enjoy your books!

  4. Wow so many wonderful subscriptions the Bookishly’s Tea and Book Club, A monthly vintage book, that comes with tea and stationery, sounds brilliant but the Go Indie Now! box has 2 indie surprise novels, and items to tantalize all five senses sounds excellent too. I think I am pulling more towards Indie.

  5. I keep looking at Subscription boxes, but then I’m always worried that I will get a box and there will be a book in it that I really don’t like and it will be a total waste of money as some of them are pretty expensive. I’ve had a look at the ones on Cratejoy and some of them do look good, so maybe I’ll overcome my fear at some point and actually sign up for one! Enjoy your reading! 🙂

    1. Aw you totally should – they do so many that there’s going to be something for everyone! If you get something you wouldn’t usually get for yourself, it might open you up to something new that you like!

  6. I’ve been seeing subscription boxes everywhere lately! I’d really like to try one, I would love the fandom of the month one! 🙂

  7. I took my chance and entered. Subscription boxes are always too expensive because of the shipping costs, otherwise I’d already had a subscription for one of these book boxes. I love the first 2 books you got! I love crime, are there book boxes with only crime books?
