Don’t get me wrong, I’m not becoming a beauty blogger any time soon but I do love trying new products. If anything, sometimes I like to hear the opinion from non-beauty bloggers about products over those that work in the industry – just to hear a different point of view. I was in contact with Steph on Twitter and she kindly sent me some product samples to try out and review. The products are from Forever and are all Aloe Vera based, so super natural and super healthy and they came in super cute little packets that reminded me of those you would get in a hotel.
I decided to try as many as possible in one go, so had myself a little pamper hour where I tried all the products I could. I started with the Marine Mask – a deep cleansing face mask that Steph included in my parcel. I’m usually quite reluctant with face masks after a terrible experience with the last ever one I tried which I was allergic to. Oh the pain. And I haven’t tried one since so I was a bit anxious using this but thankfully, no rash or redness or irritation appeared. It’s quite a thin mask but you don’t need to use an awful lot. It makes your face go a bit stiff, as expected but not so much that it’s terribly uncomfortable like some face masks I’ve tried in the past. Plus, it smelt really good.
I then washed my hair with the Aloe-Jojoba Shampoo and conditioned it afterwards with the Aloe-jojoba Conditioning Rinse. I was worried that there wouldn’t be enough in the samples in order to wash my hair properly and get an accurate impression of these products – I usually use so much shampoo and conditioner (someone is going to tell me I’m wrong) so it was odd using so little but actually, I didn’t need any more than what was in the samples. It washed and conditioned my hair effectively, smelt amazing and I was so pleasantly surprised.
Lastly, I used the the Forever Bright Toothgel (I seem to be reviewing a lot of tooth products lately?) which I was really, really impressed with. It tasted so nice – not overly and overpoweringly minty but not too clinical – really natural. I saved some to use the next day, too. And finished my pamper hour with the Aloe Moisturizing Lotion. Moisturizing is something I never do – but know I should. I don’t have much to compare it to but I really liked this lotion as it wasn’t sticky or too scented. Hours after applying, I could still feel it on my skin. Not in a bad way, but I knew it was still there moisturizing my skin and I really liked that.
I have 2 other samples left to try, the Aloe Vera Gelly and the Aloe MSM Gel which hopefully I’ll find a use for over the next few days. Overall, I was really impressed with these cute samples and products. In particular, the toothgel and the hair products. If you’re interested in trying out samples or purchasing any of these products for yourself, please contact Steph on Twitter, on the website or email her at Stephanie190@hotmail.co.uk
These products were sent to me in exchange for an honest review. I am unbiased in my opinion, not having used any Forever products in the past.
