Dorkface Stickers Review (I’m Sorry This is a Boring Title)

You probably all know Jemma, from Dorkface. Blogger, creator of #TheGirlGang and if you didn’t know, a very talented designer and artist. A good while ago now, Jemma asked around on Twitter for anyone who might want to review some of her stickers that she designs herself and sells and I registered my interest because they’re hella cute. The other day, I woke up to bright pink envelope with a cat and a shooting star on the front and if you follow Jemma on Twitter, you’ll recognise her designs and drawings from anywhere.

Stickers 1

I was greeted with a collection of Jemma’s stickers, in all different designs and shapes and sizes and a sweet little note from her that said this:

Note

Now, before I start talking about the stickers, I just wanted to mention that I honestly didn’t think Jemma followed my blog enough for me to be considered one of her favourites. I mean yeah, we follow each other on Twitter and share the occasional tweet but apart from that, I didn’t think she really bat an eyelid at me because she’s got so much other stuff going on. I know this sounds like I’m brown-nosing but what I’m trying to say is that as a blogger, you don’t know who’s watching you or reading you. You don’t really know who your fans are: other bloggers, brands, publishers – you just don’t know. So always write or draw or whatever to the best of your ability. Use your creative outlet to showcase your best self because chances are, you have silent fans and readers out there everywhere.

Anyway! Enough of that sentimental rubbish, onto the stickers! Jemma’s artwork is so unique and if you love cute things and cartooney things and girly things then you will just love her designs. I received a whole load (and I mean loads) of different ones so I’ve tried to categorise them in some way to take photos.

Food

Self-Care

Weather

Misc

I adore Jemma’s artwork – it kinda of reminds me of the illustrations on all of the Jacqueline Wilson books! I loved those books and always tried to copy the drawings because I liked them so much. Jemma’s a really talented designer and if you look at the sticker packs on her etsy store, there is something for everyone. My personal favourites from the ones I received are probably the food selection (obviously, because I don’t stop eating), particularly the pizza and the cupcake!

I would 100% recommend Jemma’s products – although I only received the stickers I’m sure everything else she creates is just as cute and of high quality as these are. I will definitely be using my discount code she sent me in her store to buy myself a little print or something soon – or maybe a personalised birthday present for my mum. I’m not sure how I’m going to use mine yet but I might write some cute little cards out to send to people and stick a few of these on each of them or decorate one of my new notebooks with!

Who are your favourite small businesses? What’s the best way to support them? Ad most importantly, what do you think of Jemma’s stickers?

  1. Ahh I love Jemma’s stickers. They are so great. I have already bought a few packs from her. I do need more though! Can totally see where you’re coming from with the Jacqueline Wilson illustrations comparison too!
