Gina Dickerson’s Dream Movie Cast for Mortiswood: Kaelia Awakening (& Giveaway!)

Today I’m thrilled to be taking part in a weekend book blitz for Gina Dickerson’s book, ‘Mortiswood: Kaelia Awakening’. I’ve read this book and it’s fab – I’d definitely recommend it for fantasy lovers. When I read a book – any book – I always try a picture who would play the characters in a movie. It helps me feel more in touch with the characters, knowing exactly what they look like so I’m hosting a guest post today from Gina and she’s picking her dream cast for her Mortiswood Series!

Seeing Mortiswood on the big screen would be amazing. More than amazing…well, I can dream! Imagine the excitement of choosing the perfect outfit for the opening screening, the excuse to buy a really gorgeous pair of shoes…meeting the actors! If it were to be made into a film who would I pick to play some of the characters? This is going to be difficult so I’ve picked two options for some, there are so many amazing actors out there and so many I admire…

Kaelia – Sophie Turner / Saoirse Ronan

Bay – Liam Hemsworth / Brenton Thwaites

Calix – Aaron Taylor-Johnson / Alex Pettyfer

Bran – Kit Harrington / Douglas Booth

Cadence – Scarlett Johansson / Amanda Seyfried

Thom – Alexander Skarsgard / Tom Hiddleston

Hel – Angelina Jolie / Emily Vancamp

Vanadis – Charlize Theron / Gemma Arterton

Bryson(he appears from book 2) would go to one of my all-time favourite actors, Sean Bean, so there is only one choice for me for this character!

The warning’s rung in Kaelia’s ears since she discovered she’s far from the ordinary girl who grew up in the coastal town of Margate. She has power. The first time she shows it, death strikes, the second, she loses someone special, and on the third, her mother disappears.

Destiny is coming for Kaelia and there’s nowhere she can hide. THEY have stepped out of the shadows to find her. For generations, there have been whispers of The Chosen One. They speak of a name – Marrock – whose destiny entwines with that of The Chosen One.

Kaelia must avenge the wrongs, uncover who Marrock is, find her mother, and . . . FIGHT

Facing forces of depraved evil, magic, and myth, Kaelia’s search leads her through magical forests and unearthly realms.

Who, or what, can Kaelia trust? Is she strong enough to survive the horror? All she knows is her life will never be the same again . . .

While tech companies often lobby Washington on privacy issues, the major firms have been hesitant to

  2. I can so see Kit Harrington as Bran ♡ I probably wasn’t supposed to like him, but he was easily one of my favourite characters! Definitely agree with Scarlett Johansen as Cadence and Alex Pettyfer as Calix.

    1. I do like a bad boy, Anna, and Bran is one of my favourites…although I really shouldn’t have favourites!
