On a whole, I’m not a huge fan of Christmas. And this year it was pretty similar to every other year I can accurately remember; same old routine and equally as stressful and ultimately underwhelming. Our family aren’t particularly close, we’ve never really done anything special or celebrated Christmas particularly elaborately. But… I am always incredibly grateful for the presents I recieve and buying gifts for other people is actually one of my favourite things to do. Yes, Christmas has become a materialistic spectacle but I got some lovely gifts and want to share them with you! Albeit, almost a month too late.

So I’m going to start with the gifts I got from my friend, Lynsey James (she’s an author, you may have heard of her…) We set ourselves a £7 challenge ‘cos let’s be honest, we’re both broke AF. I’m honestly not sure how she got all this for £7 so I think there may have been a little bit of cheating going on there but I love all of it, especially the notebook. Cos what blogger doesn’t love a notebook? And I can’t wait to read The Marble Collector because Cecelia Ahern is such a beautiful writer.

Everything in the 3 photos above were gifts from my parents; the only things I actually asked for was a new razor (my old one was like a torture device) and a new pair of slippers (my old ones were so worn you may as well have just been walking on the floor barefoot) so the other things were a nice surprise. Obviously the chocolate didn’t last long. I love the earrings; I like to think they’re very Elsa-esque which is great cos we both love the cold. And I love my Liz Earle products so it’s great to have some more to last me! Isn’t the packaging just gorgeous?

car
I realise this isn’t Max Verstappen; mine isn’t actually at my house yet and I didn’t want to wait until the end of the month to get up my ‘What I Got For Christmas’ post because by then, it would be a bit pointless. So I wanted to just photo my boyfriend’s model of Daniel Ricciardo because the car’s will look exactly the same.

Lastly was the gift from my boyfriend (which I didn’t actually get until mid January so that’s the reason this post is up so late) and if you’re not a fan of Formula 1 then you may want to skip this bit but we’re both big fans (well, I’m a big fan, he is like mega fan. The ultimate fan) and for my birthday he bought me a replica helmet of one of my favourite drivers so it was only time I had a model of an actual car (of which he has about 45 thousand pounds worth in his room. I know let that sink in for a moment) so I now own my very own Max Verstappen who will be displayed proudly on my bookcase.

There we are, a belated what I got for Christmas post! I hope you all received some nice gifts for Christmas. Let me know what your favourite thing you got this year was in the comments or please do link to your own ‘what I got for Christmas’ posts or videos! I’m super nosey and would love to see!
