Now you know that I’m not a beauty blogger. I may not be able to do make-up very well or know all the latest trends but… I do wash my hair. And I do use body lotion after a shower occasionally. So luckily today, I’m reviewing those very things! I was very kindly sent some products from Urtekram‘s new Nordic Berries range of products. All of which are packed full of vitamins and antioxidants from traditional Nordic berries like sea buckthorn, blueberries, cranberries and more. The brand are also organic cruelty free and vegan!

Now let’s start with the packaging. I absolutely love it – when you think of berries or a berry coloured thing like a top or a drink, you automatically think of these deep rich Autumnal purples and that’s exactly what they used and I think it looks really smart and elegant and extremely high end. I also like that it has most of the important information on the front for you to see straight away. For example, if you only used vegan products, you don’t have to look far to find out if this is vegan or not!

I was really impressed with the size of these products; this body lotion will last me a very long time. I did use it when I jumped out the shower and can confirm, it makes your skin soft. It isn’t very scented – in fact, you can barely smell it at all until it’s actually on you r skin. But even then, there isn’t much of a smell at all but I didn’t mind that too much. I figure , the less artificial products in the less it’ll smell right? What I’m saying is you can tell this is very natural.

I really liked the shampoo and conditioner – these are much more scented than the body lotion which is nice because I also like putting something that smells yummy on my hair when I wash it. It feels like I’m giving my hair a treat! They lather up really well and do exactly what a shampoo and conditioner is supposed to do. I did find that my hair was extra thick the day after washing, despite having it tied up all night. I’m putting it down to these products because I do exactly the same thing with my hair after every wash and it was definitely thicker and more ‘voluptuous’ for longer – which is great!

I was really impressed with these products; I’ll definitely be using the rest of them and recommending them to people who use Organic, Cruelty-Free or Vegan beauty and skincare. What do you think? Do you have any of your own Cruelty-Free recommendations?
