The last time I whacked out a last-minute post in less than 20 minutes, it actually did really well and that’s what I’ve found myself doing again now. In the shower I was reflecting on my September and how busy, hectic, draining, emotional and happy it’s been all rolled into one. I never, ever do monthly round ups anymore (just solely because I’m lazy and never really do enough in am month to warrant one) but I wanted to for this month because… I dunno, I feel like it was an important month in a lot of ways. So excuse the quickly and poorly written blog post but here’s a quick round up of everything that’s happened in September.
I had my first smear test: I wrote about it in more depth here but this was a huge milestone for me because it’s something I’ve been terrified of for literally years. This was on the 1st of September so I kicked off the month doing something really positive.
It was my birthday: And although I’m not mad about my birthday, I got some lovely presents and went out for the day to Paradise Wildlife Park with my boyfriend (post coming up about that in October!) I turned 25 which felt like a really big deal for me.
Went to visit my boyfriend’s family in Lincoln for a few days: And we went to Donington Museum whilst we were there which we try to do at least twice a year.
I won an amazing giveaway: I won a signed limited edition table made from the wheel rim of one of my favourite F1 team’s car! Along with a bunch of other goodies. I am still shell shocked!
I went on a mini staycation holiday: Super last minute decision by me (which is unusual because I tend to plan things 4 years in advance) but I joined my boyfriends family on their holiday to the Severn Valley Railway which was a new experience for me but I really enjoyed it. Again, a post coming up about that in November.
It was my mum’s birthday: Although I was away on her actual birthday I gave her all her presents when we got back and made her a nice cake, too.
I got my smear test results back: and they weren’t what I was hoping for. More details about this on 11th October but as someone who’s a bit of a worrier about health and medical things, this shook me up a little bit. But it taught me a few things too, like I can deal with it and that I am going to be okay.
I redecorated my room: I’ve been wanting to do this for months and finally got around to it in the last week of September And I wanted to do it without any help from professional decorators. I’m so thrilled to bits with how it’s turned out and I’m planning on doing a post showing you as soon as I have the finishing touches.
I hit 150k page views on my blog: What a bloody big milestone! And I only realised that yesterday evening at 8:30! Woohoo!
I’ve been super motivated with my blog: Probably more so than ever before and I currently have content scheduled until 3/4 of the way through November! I’ve really knuckled down this month, not only with my blog but with work, blog tours, being active on social media and it’s really paid off. I hoe this motivation continues into October.
It sounds like you had an amazing moth I hope everything is okay re smear test now. I have been there and obviously I have no idea what new you got but it is a bit terrifying to get bad results that aren’t- it’s okay see you in 3 years! Hope you are okay xx

Awh thanks lovely! I have a smear test update on my blog next week – I thought I’d turn my experience into a little series for anyone who’s going through the same thing (: xx
So glad you went and had a smear test. So important to do but I totally understand how anxious the wait for results can be.
For sure. I’ve had my results – that’s why I have to go back this month for a hospital appointment.
WOW! It looks like you had an amazing September 🙂

It was pretty good, thank you (: x
What a great way to reflect on the past month! September was also quite a busy month for me, especially around schoolwork and study. I’m on a break at the moment but I know that October is going to be just as hectic! Great post!
Eeek better get some rest before it all starts again then! 🙊 xx
Wow sounds like you’ve had a mega busy month! But it all sounds like so much fun too 🙂 hope you are okay!!

Wow, you really did have an eventful month of September, both in good ways and in less-good ways. Hope all is ok with your health <3. But wow, winning that F1 giveaway is so exciting! And I'm impressed that you've got so much scheduled on the blog — I've been struggling with that lately!

I really did! Thank you. It’s fine, just need some extra tests which is a pain in the area more than anything haha! xx
Sounds like a fabulous month (apart from the issue with your smear test.) Hope everything is okay, and thatyour October is even more amazing!

Congratulations on hitting your milestone, and I hope you had a wonderful birthday – September baby’s are the best kind! I hope everything comes back okay with your results, keep your head up high lovey.. 🖤
Are you a September baby too?! 💚 and thanks lovely, my next appointment is on 17th this month, I’m sure it’ll be fine. Trying to be as positive as possible!
Sounds like an incredibly productive month! I have lots of appointments and my birthday this month, so it’ll be a busy one for me!

It was indeed! Productive and busy and fun a great combo 🙊 xx
It sounds like you had a super busy month! Congratulations on winning the giveaway it looks like an incredible prize!!

Thank you! I’m still shocked I won it! 🙊 xx
That table prize is amazing!!! And signed too, lucky you. ❤
Sounds like a busy and productive month. I’m so glad you went for your smear and I wish you all the best for your next appointment. A smear test saved my life so I know how incredibly important they are. Thank you for raising awareness.
I hope Oct will be a fab month for you.
Amanda xx
Wow really? I’m glad you went for yours too then! They can be so beneficial. I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t go. For the sake of a tiny test / treatment NOW as opposed to potentially very invasive stuff down the line had you not got checked? It’s a no brainier xx
I love a monthly round up! Well done on such a positive month. Hope you’re ok after your smear xx
Thank you (: I’m okay ta! xx
I love these types of posts! Congrats on your milestone xx

Thank you 😘 I love reading them too zz
Sounds like you had a very busy September, I love reading these sorts of posts!
Thank you (: I do too xx
Sounds like, on the whole, September was a pretty good month for you! You must have been over the moon to win such a great giveaway, too. All I can say vis a vis the smear test results is please don’t worry too much. Easier said than done, I know, but 9 times out of 10 it will come to nothing and you’ll have had sleepless nights for no reason. I had abnormal results when mine came back, and I had to go and have a biopsy. I was so scared and didn’t sleep for weeks waiting for the results. But it all came back okay and I now don’t need another test for 3 years. If you ever want to chat about it, my inbox is always open!
Awh thanks so much – I have spoke to my doctor and she said I’ll be fine because it’s only very very slight abnormalities they’ve found. I’m pretty okay with it at the moment! Thanks so much for the offer <3 xx
September sounds like a bit of a mixed bag for you! Your trip to Paradise Wildlife Park was a highlight I’m sure, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there! Lucky you to win the F1 wheel/table as well! That’s SO cool! I’m sorry that your smear test results weren’t what you were hoping for, sending all the love and positivity your way!

It’s a lovely place to visit isn’t it? I saw your post about the afternoon tea in the tiger cafe & I’d love to do that some day (: & thank you- I’ll be fine, it’s just a bit nerve wracking and a bit of a faff haha! xx
Sounds like you’ve had a busy but lovely month! I really liked the photos you’ve put up and I hope everything is okay as far as the smear test went!

Thanks lovely! It has been pretty busy and knackering both physically and mentally! All okay so far – just gotta go back for extra tests (: xx
Sound like you’ve had an exciting month! I’m looking forward to reading your future blog posts! I’ve also had my Birthday this month and have just planned a spontaneous trip away too!
Thank you! Hope they don’t disappoint 🙊

Thank you! I really did just throw in some random photos – like I said, it was a VERY spontaneous post but glad you liked them! 🙊 xx
I wanted to spice up my room for fall but I’m procrastinating too much 😂😂 September was a good and bad month. My new school was horrible but it made me appreciate my family more. I spent lots of time with my brothers. I hope everything works out with the smear test issue. Happy October ❤️ (if that’s a thing 😂)
It can totally be a thing! Happy October to you too 💚 I’m sorry to hear your new school didn’t go well; you’ll be fines and I’m glad to hear you have what sounds like an amazing support network xx
So many good things in the last month! So happy for you! 🙂
Thank you (: xx
Congrats on your page views! Looks like you’ve had a busy month! X
Thank you 🙊 I have indeed! xx
Awh, I’m glad you had a lovely September! I know how you feel, though, about writing monthly round-up posts… I never have enough in one month to talk about either. I’m a bit worried about the whole smear test thing too that I’ll have to do in a couple of years, so I’m looking forward to reading about your experience!
Haha this is the only month in a LONG time where I’ve genuinely wanted to write about it! I envy these people who have these type of months all the time. I already have a post up about my first smear test, you can find it a little way back at the beginning of September 🙂 my next one will be about my follow-up appointment because they found some abnormal cells. But the initial smear test is absolutely fine!
I turn 25 in January and I’m actually excited. Time to grow up for me haha! I hope everything is alright after your smear test though!
I’m a huge F1 fan too, I’ll admit I’m a Lewis Hamilton girl though!
Sian x

Nooooo! Last year I despised Lewis but that’s cos I was team
Nico and although I’d love Sebastian to win, I like Lewis this year. The dynamic between him and Bottas is perfect! xx
I saw your post about hitting your 150k views on your Twitter and I was amazed! That’s awesome! Happy for you 🙂 Congratulations on everything and I can’t wait to read on what happened with your smear test. But hopefully everything’s gonna be fine! xx

Thanks so much! I’m still shocked about it to be honest! I have my smear test continued post up on the 11th, a few days before my hospital appointment (: xx
congrats on reaching 150K views that is amazing! I hope everything is ok with your smear results, I’m sure you’ll power through it! Looking forward to your October posts xx

Thanks so much Gi! I’m sure they’ll be fine too, just nerve wracking! I hope October doesn’t disappoint (: xx
I wish I could stay I booked a flight to and accommodations in London, but I didn’t. I still don’t even have a passport. I swear that someday (barring sudden death), I will get there … I will love it … and I’ll probably never want to return to the states! So there’s what I DIDN’T do. I DID write in my journal every single day and bought some new fall clothes that are comfortable enough to feel like pajamas without looking like I work in PJs all day every day (I work from home). I also assisted photographing a wedding and did took a theater actor’s headshots (my own daughter). Here’s to a more eventful October! Dare I attempt to set a goal of blogging every day this month?
Go for it! Aim high (; sounds like you had a pretty good September to me. And London isn’t that special (; but hope you get here one day!
Sounds like youve had a lovely month, I live fairly close to Lincoln and its a beautiful city, especially visiting the cathedral and all the restaurants on the water front!
Sarah | http://www.sazsinclair.com xx
Oooh really?! I’ve only been to the cathedral once but only walked around it & didn’t go in. It’s a stunning building! xx
I love reading these kinds of posts and it sounds like you had a fantastic September. I can’t believe how organised you are with your blog either, that’s incredible as is your huge milestone so congratulations! Smear tests are scary but unfortunately definitely need doing, hope you’re okay.
Haha thank you – I thrive off of being organised for sure! And thank you, I still can’t believe I’ve hit that milestone. They are super duper important, I’m fine, just need some more tests but I’ll be okay (: xx
Wow it sounds like you had such a wonderful month! And congratulations on your milestone -150k is absolutely incredible and well deserved 😊Xx
Thanks so much, still can’t believe it! xx
How amazing has September been for you! This post has made me so excited to see more from you. Congratulations on your milestone!

That’s lovely, thank you! Hope Octobers posts don’t disappoint 🙊 xx
Great post lovely. I really hope your smear results are ok!! I totally understand the fear and experienced not so good results a few years ago so if you need to chat just gimme a shout.
I love Donnington Museum I took my lad there this year and he loved it! Car mad though xxxxxxxx
lucylovesbeautyxo.com
Oh wow really?! Next time we go you should totally come along. We’re both Formula 1 obsessed 😍 and thank you! I’m sure they’ll be fine, I have to go back for a colposcopy to have a further inspection of what’s going on down that but I spoke to my doctor and she said she’s totally confident that it’ll all be okay so that’s taken a huge weight off my shoulders. It’s still nerve wracking though for sure! xxx
It most certainly is. Bless you. Colposcopy is ok just a bit uncomfortable like the smear. Massive hugs babe.
My parents like F1 so grew up watching it. Something about Donnington that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Especially the Senna bit ♥️ xxxxxxx
Same! Donington is so homely. I grew up knowing NOTHING about F1 until I met my current boyfriend who’s like the biggest fan in the world. The more he watched, the more interested I got and now I’m completely obsessed 😍 xx
Aww that’s really nice Jenny!! Nice that you enjoy his passion too!! As much as I’ve tried to like football as my other half loves it I just can’t. I love cars so much more haha xxxxxxxx
Haha you clearly have the better taste! (; I hate football too, can’t get into it for the life of me xxx
Aww it sounds like you’ve had a very busy September! Thanks so much for sharing with us. Congratulations on hitting such a huge milestone for your blog, you must be so proud! xx
I have indeed! Thank you (: I really am! xx
no wonder you did a round-up you’ve been very busy! Looks like you had a great time celebrating and exploring on your hols.

Thanks Chloe! I still can’t believe it either 🙊 hope you enjoy Octobers posts! xx
I booked to go see Shania Twain in London next October 🙂
Oooh have fun! (: xx
