Chatty Q&A: Weird & wonderful

I decided to go ahead with a “bit of everything” Q&A today and I have a bunch of questions below, which came from people on Twitter, some serious, some really, really not. I always enjoy doing random Q&A type posts sometimes for no other reason than I can’t think of anything else to write but I do enjoy reading them as well as you always learn something new about the blogger behind the blog!

A weird / funny story that’s happened to you?

My whole life is a weird and funny story so it’s hard to narrow down. Jokes. I struggle under pressure thinking of weird stories that have happened to me but here’s one, “when I was around 15, I went to a Funeral For a Friend gig (think it was in Camden). The band Fightstar were a supporting band and for those that don’t know, the lead singer of Fightstar was Charlie from Busted. During Funeral For a Friend, a friend I was with felt like she was going to pass out so we had to get out of the main area and we went upstairs to the balcony where to loos were where it was quieter. I was desperate for a pee so I ran to the toilet and ran straight on, full force into the bloke coming out the men’s loos I quickly said sorry and ran to the toilet. I came out and there Charlie was, talking to my friend and it was him I’d ran straight into – whoops”.

Sonic or Mario with detailed explanation of why

I answered this question on Twitter because I don’t play Mario and never have. I’m more of a Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot kinda gal so out of those two, I would 100% be Spyro the Dragon because I can complete all the Spyro games 100% no problem but Crash Bandicoot is really fucking hard and the N. Sane Trilogy makes me wanna pull my hair out.

What is your all-time favourite book?

I have a selection of books which I would all consider favourites and it really does vary quite a bit depending on my mood and how I’m feeling. But I think out of all of those, my ALL-TIME favourite would have to be The Book Thief.

Proudest blog moment?

Agh Jesus, I don’t really know of any one specific moment. It’s a whole collection of moments like hitting certain follower milestones on my blog, hitting 140k page views and working with some amazing brands.

Bath of warm melted chocolate or Jacuzzi of champagne?

Bath of warm melted chocolate for sure (I don’t drink so the champagne would be useless to me!)

Favourite Disney character?

Goodness me, this is difficult. I’m not sure I have one specific favourite character. But I do love; Tigger, Belle, Goofy, Merida and Baloo.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Top of my list at the moment is Finland, Germany or Amsterdam.

What animal (that you can legally own) would you like to have as a pet?

I really, really, really want a bunny but I think my dog would probably try and eat it.

Favourite animal?

I adore wolves; they’re so beautiful.

Snog, marry, avoid: Mike Myers, Hulk Hogan or Jennifer Lawrence?

Are we talking about Mike Myers the actor or the freaking Friday the 13th character? I’ll assume actor. Snog Mike (cos it’ll be over quick) avoid Hulk and marry Jennifer – obviously!

You, your favourite F1 driver and a lonely deserted track. Who is it. where is it and what happens?

This could get very graphic, very quickly but I’ll keep it PG πŸ˜‰ Who is it? At the moment, it’s Esteban Ocon. He’s a bloody fantastic driver, so personable and likeable and really mature for the media too. I just love him. And he’s super cute. Where? Probably Austria because the circuit is beautiful and why wouldn’t you want to be surrounded by mountains? What happens? Well I hope a passenger ride in a really fancy, fast sport car. But I’ll leave it there.

Would you rather be attacked by a dozen duck sized horses or one horse sized duck?

A dozen duck sized horses, definitely. A horse sized duck would be terrifying!

If you had to pick one: Christmas, Halloween or Easter?

Probably Easter because I never celebrate Halloween, I’m not a huge Christmas person and Christmas just stresses me out to be honest – despite how hard I try to get into the Chrsitmas spirit year after year – but Eater has chocolate and its a lovely time of the yea plus baby animals.

For the F1 fans: Bottas or Verstappen? And Button or Hamilton?

Verstappen for the first one and Button for the second one.

If you have any weird and wonderful questions of your own, do leave them below. I’d love to know your answers to some of these too!

  1. Love this! You gave some fantastic answers! I love that you’re so into F1 – loved your answer about things getting graphic haha πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  2. Haha brilliant questions, so orginal! Who comes up with duck sized horses or a horse-sized duck?!
I’m with you on Easter, same feelings about Christmas here (Easter is stress free!) and Halloween isn’t really celebrated here.. I’m going for the champagne bath though because the sight of the chocolate bath, I don’t know.. although the champagne might look weird too πŸ˜‰

  3. Haha, some really funny questions here (ducks and horses???!!!) and some great answers. I’m with you on the Snog, Marry, Avoid question, no hesitation, and I love wolves too. I couldn’t get on with The Book Thief (I know I’m probably in the minority) but my two all time favourite books are All The Light We Cannot See,and This Thing of Darkness – both doorstoppers but amazing reads, I never wanted to them to end! X

    • No! Tell you the truth, I couldn’t get on with it at first either. I actually started it and got a few chapters in and gave up. But I watched the film first THEN gave the book another go and that really helped. So try that if you haven’t already. I haven’t heard of either of those but I’ll check them out on Goodreads xxx

  4. I laughed out loud at some of these questions, the people who suggested them are hilarious. That’s so funny about Charlie, teenage me is seriously jealous of you haha! Also yesss to The Book Thief, such a good book! Although I’ve been seriously considering the bath of melted chocolate and it’s stressing me out thinking about it getting in my hair… hahah!

  6. I’ll definitely fight you over who gets to marry Jennifer Lawrence hehe, I would’ve answered exactly the same as you to that question haha! I have been tempted to pick up The Book Thief lately and I might just have to place an Amazon order tonight after your glowing recommendation! I love Q&A posts, they’re a great way of learning more about your fave bloggers!

  7. Hmm well, do you have to get IN the bath of melted chocolate, or can you sit next to it and dip things in like a giant chocolate fountain? I need to think this over. πŸ€”

  8. I can’t believe you ran into Charlie without realising, this is totally something I would do. Some fantastic questions Jenny, I really enjoyed reading this. Xx

    • I don’t celebrate Halloween at all. I love buying people Christmas presents and I usually get to work with some great brands on Christmassy things too but the day itself I can’t stand. I don’t have any siblings or extended family that we see a lot so it’s pretty dull and boring xxx
