Here’s a fact about me: I am obsessed with lists. I thrive off of organisation and lists are the main thing that keep my life in order. Or in as much order as the illusion of control can possibly give you. At this present moment I have lists on my phone of the following things; Blogging to-do’s, work to-do’s, things in the post, things I need to buy, payments I’m waiting to receive, Christmas presents I want to buy for people and more. I. Bloody. Love. Lists. But not only can they be extremely beneficial for “sorting shit out“, they can also be fun and therapeutic and a good way to be creative and unwind. They don’t all have to be boring old, “do taxes, do a good shop and put the bins out”. So I’ve concocted a list of lists (that is the most Jenny thing I could have possibly done) for you to try and get stuck in to if… like me… you’re obsessed with lists.
- A daily to-do list (let’s start small & basic)
- Monthly goals
- Yearly goals
- Yearly bucket list
- Recipes to try
- Books to read
- Films to watch that month
- Christmas / birthday wish-list
- Things you’re grateful for
- Places you want to go
- Things you like about yourself
- Areas of your life you want to improve on
- Restaurants to try
- Blog posts to write
- Things you love about your partner
- Christmas present ideas for loved ones
- Disney movies to watch
- Daily affirmations
- Your strengths
- Netflix shows to watch
- 5 year goals
- Acts of kindness
- Why you love “your favourite thing here”
- Boring but important errands
- Things to declutter

Awesome list. Thanks.
[…] love lists. I make them constantly. Another blogger, Jenny in Neverland reminded me of that. As I read her article, “25 Lists For the List Obsessed” I thought back to my purse, my notepads at work, my journals at home, even my pockets as a teenager […]
Yes!!!!! Lists actually help me curb my anxiety. I love them. I haven’t read through all the comments yet but have you read any of that ancient Japanese empress that has a whole book out that is all translated lists? It’s incredible!
Omg no! But that sounds amazing!
I cannot remember her name for the life of me! I heard about her on a stuff you missed in history class podcast episode a couple years ago. Googling Japanese Poets and List does not produce easy results to get through! lol
I love these ideas! I’m such a lover of lists, I don’t think I could live without them x
Jamie | http://www.jamies-corner.com
I certainly couldn’t x
I loooooove lists! Recently just filled a whole A4 notebook, not to mention the ever growing lists on my phone! X
Omg queen! Xxx
Oh my god, this is my dream come true. I am, like you, a huge fan of lists and also have a notes section on my phone full of them. But I just got a shiny new notebook and I’m so keen to try and complete all of these lists in it! Thanks so much for sharing this, I’m obsessed!
Beth x
Haha yay! I also have plenty of notes on my phone full of lists / I bloody love it! xxx
I love this post! There are a couple of those lists I don’t have, I guess I need some more notebooks.
A Sparkle Of Grace
Absolutely! xxx
Oh Jenny, this is the absolutely ideal post for me! Like you, I’m list obsessed! My boyfriend often tells me that I just take on extra jobs and responsibilities just so that I can list them all down and check them off haha! It’s just a fantastic way to keep on track with you life, that’s what I say! A list of blog post ideas is something that I always have on the go, and acts of kindness are lovely to record too!

I love writing lists helps me to keep on task
I frigging love lists. I have an excel list, a phone list, and a paper list- the best kind as theres nothing more satisfying than scratching off that boring item on one of your lists! I think I might add recipes to try to my listography needs to happen. I also write snippet lists though which are quite fun: write down phrases or funny things you overhear/ see all week and then make them into poetry. Its very geeky but also can be a bit heartwarming depending what you write down. One week almost everything I wrote down was people encouraging each other.
Jen xxx
Awh I love all these ideas! xxx
Love this post 💜 I am a list person too
Gotta love a list or two! xxx
I too have a list of lists! I also said yesterday “A life without lists is a life unravelled”….lol. Luckily it was to a fellow list lover x
I love that quote! xxx
Ah!! This post is dangerous for me. I make so many lists its ridiculous, I don’t need any more excuses to write even more lists, ahaha!
Hehehe whoops! xxx
I LIVE by lists. I have a few list pads at home or at work, I pretty much have lists for a fair few of those above, and a few other random ones as well!
Hannah @ The Northern Writes | http://www.thenorthernwrites.co.uk
I live by lists too, I totally feel you! xxx

They absolutely do xx

I’m a Virgo too 😉 xxx
OMG girl you have no idea how happy this post made me.. I love love love writing lists! It’s oddly therapeutic for me haha x
It can be super therapeutic I agree xxx
I hate that my comment is number 26, because I feel like I’ve messed up your post, so sorry about that! I don’t make lists everyday, but more when I’m stressed and I need to get things into some form of order, then I make to do lists with the most minute of things included just so I can tick them off and calm down a little!! Every so often I make a list of all the books on my kindle to try and put them into order, and lately I’ve been putting together my Amazon wish list. Outside of books, I have a beauty wish list I add to from bloggers recommendations or magazines, and I used to make music wish lists before iTunes!
I also put really little things on my to do list – partially so I don’t forget to do them and partially so I can definitely tick something off!
Number 1. make list (tick!;))
I’m definitely a list person so I loved reading this post! Disney films too watch is definitely a list I need to make xx
http://www.katelovesx.co.uk/
I need to do that one soon too I think! I need a Disney day xxx
I’m a list person myself too, I write so many from blog posts to write, things to do and of course like you said disney films to watch (the most importANT list)
Obviously 😉 xxx
Oh my goodness I love lists almost as much as you do…! The fact that you’ve made a list of lists is hilarious xx I currently have about 7/8 to do lists on my reminders (including weekly shopping lists) and more lists in the notepads… lol!
Shevy

Haha a list of lists really is the most Jenny thing ever. I just bloody love them! xx
I always do a Christmas list – who to buy for and an idea for a gift. I’m rubbish with anyone other kind of list really, I’ll write a shopping list and forget to take it with me! X 💕
Oh no! I’ve currently got a Christmas list on the go just to keep track of what I’ve bought people and how much I’ve spent xxx
Hi, I love lists and also thrive of them. I don’t have as many as you though 😊.
I thrive off of them too! I find it interesting what benefits different people xxx
All those lists! OMG! I am more of a to-do list person than a list person. I should write down lists more often though! xx corinne
Yeah I love a to do list you can’t beat them xxx
I love lists and then being able to cross things off! So a daily or weekly to do list are some of my favourite!
Crossing things off a list is SO satisfying 😍 xxx
Definitely a list person. I have too many notebooks, much of them filled with lists I probably don’t actually need but it helps me stay organized… I’m also the kind of person who has a colour coordinated wardrobe…
I don’t have enough clothes to colour coordinate and most of mine are black anyway but if I did… that’s definitely something I’d do! xxx
I will probably start doing a majority of these lists so I can stay in check with everything. Such a great post idea. I hope you have a great day 🙂
Awh yay! I’d love to hear what ones you’ve done (: xxx
I can completely relate to this I’m a big fan of lists and find them very calming when I’ve got a lot to think about and you’ve just given me a few ideas for lists I didn’t already have so thank you!
Jess | http://acornlifefitness.com
Haha you’re welcome! I find they make things much less stressful too xxx
I love this post – I list everything too and I find it so much easier to just flick through lists, theres just something I enjoy so much about writing down what I need to do and keep an eye out for?!
Sarah | http://www.sazsinclair.com xx
For sure me too. Keeping lists makes me feel remotely like I have my life together haha xxx
I love list making! I love daily or weekly to-do lists, YouTube video/Blog post idea lists, books i need to review lists. Pretty much any list I can lol great post!!!
Hahah you sound like me! Anything I can make into a list I probably will 🤣 xxx
I’m always making lists everyone always makes fun of me for carrying around a note pad. I seriously won’t rememver anything without them.
Love Tania,

xxxx
Heck no 🙅 I think that’s brilliant that you take notepad everywhere! xxx
“I’ve concocted a list of lists (that is the most Jenny thing I could have possibly done)” CRYING. Jenny, you are pure gold, I love this post! Seriously though, this is really good advice. I have so many lists on the go (my diary, the calendar, my online Outlook calendar, and also a little notebook in my bag that I use for the shopping, with random jottings at the back, but it’s all quite disorganised really). Next year I’m going to look at separating things out and keeping them in one place. Maybe even a bullet journal?! X
Lisa | http://www.lisasnotebook.com
Hahaha I wouldn’t be me without some weird ass level of organisation would I! A bullet journal sounds good! I’m sure you could find a notebook specifically for lists somewhere (: xxx
I don’t think I could function without to-do lists! Mine are categorised into ‘to-do’ ‘to-buy’ ‘to-write’ ‘to-plan’ and I would forget too many things without them! 😂
Same! I have a to buy list to – which is full of Christmas presents at the moment obviously (: xx
I’ve just bought my first Christmas present online but haven’t even began to think what I might get other people 🙉 it was a spontaneous see it so bought it buy! Xx
I absolutely love lists! Soon I’ll be writing a list of all the things I’ll need to pack for my Iceland travels and a huge Christmas list of all the goodies I need to bake for people before I grab my passport!
Claudia xo
I love making packing lists too! xxx
I have a running blog ideas list on my phone so I can jot them down as soon as I get inspiration. I also have goals lists and a daily to do list. If I don’t I get nothing done haha! xx
Same! Without my daily to do list I’d literally do nothing xxx
Brilliant post! I also love lists, I usually write them, put them down and forget about them though, lol!
Oh no! Get yourself a lovely little notebook so you won’t forget them (; xx
I have one! That’s my issue, I forget to check it lol x
A fun one that I’m going to add in my bullet journal is lists of gift ideas for certain people!
I already keep a list for my boyfriend in my phone; but it would be handy if I had one for other people as well. That way I just have to check the list to find some inspiration when I need a gift. 😀
Absolutely! I have a little note of Christmas presents for people; things I’ve already got and ideas for other things (: xxx
