Sometime in December, I was approached by Freddie’s Flowers – an online flower delivery service and asked if I was interested in reviewing one of their monthly boxes. I said yes, obviously, otherwise I wouldn’t be writing this post and I’m sure upon reading this, you’ll understand why I said yes. Flowers can brighten up any room; my mum has bought small bunches of flowers every week for as long as I can remember and there’s always a vase of them sitting on the kitchen table and in the living room. I like to treat my mum to flowers, when I can. Often on Mother’s Day or her birthday because flowers can be a really special gift for people who like them. I gifted these flowers which Freddie’s Flowers kindly sent to me to her as well, right after I finished taking my blog photos…

Freddie’s Flowers was founded by… you guessed it, Freddie, who growing up with two florists as parents, was among flowers his whole life. Freddie’s Flowers now delivers all around the UK and are exceptionally reasonable, at £22 for some boxes. I was told my flowers would be delivered on 1st January (what a lovely way to start the year!) and they were. They were expertly packaged, with absolutely no damage to any of the flowers (or the cardboard actually) and the blooms even had little nets around them, to protect them which apart from thinking was really cute is actually really clever as well. So packaging and delivery: 10 out of 10.

The flowers don’t come pre-arranged – that’s up to you and actually, this is the first time I’ve ever arranged a bunch of flowers. You receive this little booklet welcoming you to Freddie’s Flowers which has Freddie’s story, photos and tips and tricks to get the perfect flower arrangement in it. I also received a sheet telling me exactly how to arrange the specific bunch I got. The instructions were simple and I successfully managed to arrange my flowers! Although I’m probably using the wrong type of vase, this is the only one we had in the house. Just by the booklet and leaflets alone, you can tell how much effort and love goes into this company.

Now onto the flowers themselves! I received Blooms, Lilie’s, Fluffy Solidago and Pussywillow in mine – being the flower expert I am not, didn’t know what any of those were (apart from lilies) before reading the leaflet. The flowers are in excellent condition when they arrive. The lilies haven’t even poked their head out yet so you know you’ve got good life in this bunch and they also provide two little flower food pouches, one for day 1 and one for day 4 so you can keep your flowers in the best condition. My mum loved this bunch, they look pretty impressive on our table. I can’t wait to see what they look like when the lilies have blossomed. I personally love the fluffy solidago, which are the long stick things with fluffy bits going up it. Apparently these open up into flowers as well so I’m also intrigued to see what that looks like!

And a few photos once the lilies finally opened up (I’d also like to note that these 2 photos were taken 7 days after receiving the flowers and look at how amazing the quality still is!):

Overall, I am pretty darn impressed with Freddie’s Flowers. For excellent value and a proper service you get a bunch of flowers which are made and sent with so much love and care that you almost see it oozing off the stems. Freddie’s Flowers has also kindly offered a discount code to my readers for anyone who wishes to purchase from them!

  1. I was actually gifted a bunch of flowers from Freddie’s by the gorgeous Abbey Louisa Rose for my birthday – and they were amazing! I couldn’t believe how generous the bouquet was, there were absolutely loads of flowers, and they honestly lasted me over 3 weeks. I loved the sort of ‘DIY’ aspect too, and the selection of flowers was gorgeous. This bouquet looks amazing too, I’m sure your mum was thrilled that you passed them along!

  2. The protective packaging and presentation makes them even more special and preserved. They would make such a lovely mother’s day gift. Let’s hope some men read this in time for Valentines day.

  3. Oh, my goodness. These are so gorgeous! I’ve neber had much of a green thumb but my grandmother did and some part of me wishes that I could someday learn how to garden to keep her in my heart. Again, these are so pretty!

  5. This is such an amazing idea! I’d love to receive flowers every month, but I have a bad habit of not looking after them properly (whoops). I’d love to treat these to my mum one day though!

  6. These flowers are gorgeous, I love that you get to arrange them yourself and you did it nicely, I love that they are white, white flowers are my favourite. Sadly though I can’t have flower in the house because both my two children and my partner have severe hayfever, but they would make a great gift for a loved one.

    1. I have severe hay fever too but these didn’t bother me and we always have flowers in our house. I’m not sure whether bought flowers have the same affect to be honest? One to research! xx

  7. There are gorgeous 😍🌼🌷 I absolutely adore flowers and appreciate their beauty. I love the packaging from this company, you can definitely see the love and care that’s put into the product. Great post! 🙂

  9. I love treating my Mum to flowers as well! It’s her birthday this month so my sister and I are planning on buying her a gorgeous bouquet! Freddie’s Flowers seem like an amazing option, they seem so securely packed which is great – I have ordered flowers online many a time to have them delivered in a very sorry state which is very sad! The fluffy solidago is indeed beautiful combined with the lilies!

  13. what a great idea, flowers are so pretty, I my self dont buy a lot of flowers but I do for others. I think I will start. they are a great way to start your day when you wake up and see them, and how they are blooming.

  14. I just love that they come with their own little hair nets, that’s adorable! How cool that they go to the effort of providing arrangement instructions too, it shows they put a lot of effort into making it a nice experience I think.

  15. Ooooh, these are lovely. The white/green combination is so fresh and vibrant and I absolutely love Pussy Willow as a foliage filler, it really adds structure. I couldn’t have lilies because the pollen is poisonous to cats but everything else would be perfect. And I love that they give you a flower arranging tips leaflet too, that’s brilliant. Lucky you, Jenny – or lucky Jenny’s mum, haha! X
