I really really enjoyed writing and working on my January goals last month. I found that setting myself small and realistic goals worked absolute wonders. No huge resolutions over here in 2018, no sir-ee! So I wanted to continue the momentum into February and start the month with my February goals list! Again, these are all fairy small and doable – you won’t find any “jump out of a plane” on here!
1. Hit 9k on Twitter: At the time of writing, I’m on 8.7k so that gives me about a month and half. Eeek, I’d better go get Tweeting some seriously good stuff!
2. Read 5 books: More ambitious than January’s 4, also considering this month is shorter. Wish me luck!
3. Hit a certain amount of savings (again): As you can see, this one has cropped up on both of my lists, I’m taking my savings very seriously this year. I’m not going to reveal the amount I want to hit by the end of February but I’ve got it in mind.
4. Hit 4,700 blog followers: Again, at the time of writing I currently have 4,446 – so I think this is doable, providing I continue working hard at my content!
5. Bake something: I haven’t done any baking in absolutely ages! It’s about time I get back into the kitchen and rustle up some yummy treats.
6. Treat myself to something: As in like, actually buy something for myself. For no other reason than I just want it. I am horrible for not treating myself like I literally can’t remember the last time I bought myself anything!
7. Go to the library: I haven’t been to the library in forever, shamefully. I wanna pop in and sniff the books. I also want to try and find a book about the history of Yoga (or something like that) so there’s an excuse to go!
8. Complete all Spyro PS1 games: Bit of a silly one but I am a sucker for old-school PlayStation one games. My favourites were always Spyro the Dragon, I am the Queen of those games and must have completed them 40 times over, each. But… it’s my little guilty pleasure and my way of zoning out.
Amazing! I love the goals you have set for yourself. I think having actual numbers is so important! Thank you for sharing <3 I am also starting my college/life blog and cant wait to set goals for myself!! much love XOXO
Awh thank you! Good luck on your blog 🙂 xxx
[…] fancied baking something for a while and as soon as I popped “bake something” on my February goals list, it obviously had to be done. The over-achiever in me wouldn’t have it any other way. So […]
I love this post! I hope you accomplished all of your goals!
Thank you- I was a few short!
Great goals. Go achieve them!
I wish you a lot of success. My experience is small goals done builds momentum which builds motivation.
I want to wish you luck on your second goal to read 5 books. I like reading too so I know how it feels. Cheers!
Thank you (:
This is totally random… but what are those jeweled hearts in the picture above? They’re so pretty! I couldn’t stop looking at them! Also, good luck with your goals.💖 —https://emilyryannblogblog.wordpress.com/
Haha they’re fairy lights! I honestly couldn’t tell you where I got them, I’ve had them years! xxx
These are some great goals! I’ve been following you for awhile on HAZEARELLA’s twitter account and I love seeing you reach your follower goals! I reminds me that if I’d just quit being lazy I’m not a hopeless case lmao! Though I suppose moving blogs and twitter accounts and ig accounts doesn’t really help either lol!
Awh thank you! You’re definitely not a hopeless case!
You’re a type of inspiration which is realistic!
I can relate to your goals and mindset!
Best of luck for your feb goals! ☺️
Thank you (: xx
Hi Jenny, new follower here, hoping to help you hit goal number 4 🙂 good luck with the rest xx
Thanks so much! xxx
Another excellent set of goals Jenny. I really love number 6 – it is so important to take a bit of ‘me time’ and to be kind to yourself. You work so hard and achieve so much, you deserve a treat! Hope you have a wonderful month.
Beth x
Thank you Beth! xxx
Good luck with all of your goals! One of mine is the complete opposite to yours – treat myself LESS. I’m a shopaholic *hides* Also, I can’t remember the last time I went to my local library either which is shameful.
Oh no haha! We’ll swap tips for that one (; xxx
Oh I know you’ll be able to smash all of these goals! Your tweets are some of my fave so your followers will defo hit that goal this month!
Thank you (: xxx
5 books in one month? I’d have to be a speed reader to accomplish that. These are all great goals to set 🙂
I know people who have read over 20 books in a month!
I love these goals! I’m sure you’ll smash it xx

Thank you xx
Such a good idea to go for goals you know you’ll achieve, but my favourite has to be going to the library – we used to go all the time but for some reason have fallen out of the habit. Your post has reminded me that we need to start going again – we have a really good one in Frome and at the rate Flora goes through books it’s the most viable option, haha. Good luck with your goals this month, I’m sure you’ll reach them all xx

Thank you (: I can’t wait for my trip to the library xx
some great goals! I really want to start baking again this month too.
Love a bit of an old throwback game. I like to treat myself occasionally, it’s so nice to buy something just for the hell of it – no purpose, just because you want it.

Absolutely! xx
You’ve already done so many awesome things that I know you’ll have no trouble with these ones at all!! I also am trying to read more this month and now that you reminded me- I also haven’t baked a treat in forever!! That’s going on my list 🙂
Hehe good! I’m a bit concerned about my reading goal for this month cos the book I’m reading now I have a feeling is going to take me a long time to finish! xxx
A babe after my heart ❤️ I love video games! I haven’t had the time to play recently but I think that’s an awesome goal of yours! Oh wow 5 books in 28 days that’s great, I think you can manage. I’m pretty sure you’ll make it to 9k in a jiffy. Best of look with all your goals! 😘❤️
xx Lena | https://lenadeexo.com
Best of luck*** silky typos 🤦🏽♀️
Thank you! The reading goals is the one I’m most worried about this month – id better read some really good books! xxx
I Admire these goals and look forward to you maybe doing a piece on how you accomplished each one once you have! Would love some insight and tips. Best of luck
I did that in January, if you’re interested. I did my January goals post on the 1st then a round up of how I did at the end (: xx
Awesomeeee I’ll check it out
You have some great goals especially with the blog and hope you achieve them.
Thank you very much z
Great goals 😊 Love your motivation.
Thank you xx
I love visiting the library, it’s always so peaceful and you never know what you may find ☺️. Good luck with your February goals Jenny, you will defo hit 9k on twitter soon! You deserve it! 😘 xx

Oh me too! I haven’t been to Library just to wander around it in SO long! I only ever go in to grab recycling bags haha! xxx
I love that you’ve spoken about saving and treating yourself. It’s so important to find the right balance x

Absolutely! I bought myself something last night actually and it pained me to do it but I’m glad I did!
Setting monthly goals is a great idea & something to keep you going throughout the month. I work out of local Glasgow libraries & I absolutely being in that environment. You can switch off, embrace the peace & quite & tune into a good book.
I’d love to go to the library and blog there all day! xx
I actually love that you have set yourself ‘treat myself to something’ as a goal. Far too often all our goals are stressful ones and theres nothing that’s purely for enjoyment!
http://www.whatevawears.co.uk
Exactly! And I did treat myself to something last night so that’s that one ticked off the list (: xx
Have tbh haven’t been to a Library 📚 for many years such a shame as I spent many a Saturday as a youngster devouring books 😂 anyhow had to print my boarding cards for coming away and went to the local Library near my home which I’d never visited before and was amazed with what they offered Library Card all updated will be visiting more often now 😊
You should definitely visit more often! xxx
Great post! I love the idea of setting monthly goals. I haven’t been to the library in ages, you’ve reminded me to go now! I love browsing around and discovering books I haven’t heard of before. I’m definitely trying to read more too. I love how you’ve covered a wide range of goals from blogging to personal ones. Best of luck with them! You’ve got this!
Thank you! I try and cover a range so I don’t wear myself out focusing on blogging and business related goals! xxx
No problem! That’s great:)
All very realistic goals. I can relate to a lot of them – reading a certain amount, saving a certain amount and I want to do some baking at some point. I wish you luck with all your goals x
Thank you! You too xxx
These sounds like that goals! Think I’ll have to set myself some as well
Go for it!
Hi, love the idea of February goals as well. I will try and do some baking this as well.
You should (: Maybe do a blog post about it?
This is such a fantastic idea! Setting small short term goals which are actually achievable! Best of luck with your Feb goals x

Thank you (: xxx
I would love to play the old Spyro games again!! They were my favourites 😍
Right! I’ve completed all of them hundreds of times and I never get bored!
I moved over to Xbox so don’t have them anymore 😔
I love breaking down goals into month by month lists. I have a goal to read one book a month so 5 is crazy to me! Haha
So much more manageable isn’t it? xxx
These are great goals! I wish I had time to read so much- I love books! xx
http://www.juderivers.com
You can always find time to get a chapter in (; xx
Omgggggg I love Spyro haha, Keep us updated on how those games go 😉 Here’s a post I wrote on how to start living more, can you take a look 🙂 https://mzukowskiblog.wordpress.com/2018/02/02/lets-avoid-that-wish/
Haha well I’m on Spyro: Year of The Dragon now xxx
I don’t know why but out of all the games I’ve played, Spyro makes me feel most nostalgic 😉
Same!
Such amazing goals angel, I know you can do all of these angel!
Love, Amie ❤

Thank you 😘 xxx
Great goals for February! I love the mini goal idea for the year. Good luck!
Thank you, it’s working so well! xxx
I love this idea, Jenny. I love your site name too. You’re in Neverland, I’m in LaLa Land, perhaps we are neighbors 🙂
Haha perhaps we are! (; xx
I think it’s great that you’re not pressuring yourself to read more! You’re giving yourself a good chance to enjoy what you *want* to read 🤗 Also way to go on building your savings! I spent my twenties blowing extra money and realize now what I could have saved if I’d thought twice before going on those shopping sprees….🙄 oh well, hindsight!
Hehe I did that in my teens- I’d have had quite a bit more in my savings if I didn’t spend hundreds of pounds going out and buying clothes I didn’t need!
I loved Spyro! Was never any good at it – not really a gamer to be honest! But he was sooooo cute!
Haha I’m actually planning on playing some tonight! I love it SO much xxx
Really love the idea of monthly goals ! I’m the same as you and rarely treat myself so that’s a fantastic one- hope you chose something fabulous!
Good luck with your February goals I’m sure you will smash your targets 😃
Melanie | http://www.frasersfunhouse.com
I’ll make sure I chose something fabulous! (: xxx
Good luck with your goals. My goals for February are summed up here:

Thank you (: I’ll check out your post! xx
Good luck with all your goals! If you bake something yummy I would love to see a recipie post! If that’s something you would be interested in doing? 💖💗
Certainly! I try 😍 xx
Oh my golly! I’m seriously impressed! I think I’m going to have to take a leaf out of your book and actually start writing them down. In fact I’d better think of some. Goodness, you know I don’t think I set myself any monthly goals … just daily list of jobs I have to get done. Right, major rethink time, thanks for the post! (And as for the number of followers you have …. wow! I’ve only just started this blogging thing, almost one month in now and have about 80 followers – clearly I’ve got quite a bit to learn! Suffice to say however, I’m just loving, absolutely loving the writing and the reading of everyone’s posts!). Happy Friday!
Oh I have daily to do lists as well, I like to keep my monthly goals a separate thing. Congrats on starting your blogging journey! I’ve been blogging for over 4 years so I’ve had plenty of time to build my followers up! You’ll get there (: xx
Thank you so much! You’ve inspired me! ☀️☀️
Hi! Just started my own blogging on motivation and poetry and yes(selfie),, but how do I get bloggers to look at my site??? I’m feeling discouraged 😞
Achievable goals are the way forwards – I love that you’re setting ones each month! Xx
Absolutely! I love doing them (: hope I can continue for the whole year! xxx
Wishing you all the luck in the world with your goals for this month babe, I’m hoping to bake more too! Thank you for sharing 🌸💜✨
With love, Alisha Valerie. x
