Wowzers… April. April. APRIL. Just when we couldn’t believe that it was 2018 already, here we are, 4 months into the year already. I hope you all had a great March, did lots of cool stuff and had a lot of fun. March for me was pretty damn good; I visited my boyfriend’s family in Lincolnshire, went away for the weekend to the Severn Valley Railway in Shropshire and saw the start of the new Formula 1 season. So all in all, a good month. I’ve also thoroughly enjoyed doing smaller, more achievable monthly goals this year so far. It’s really worked for me, it’s helping me focus and also helping me be more specific about my goals. However, this will be my last public goals list I’ll be posting on my blog – just because I don’t want it to get too samey and don’t want y’all to get bored! I’ll still be noting down my goals privately for the rest of the year (hopefully!) Here’s what I’d like to achieve in April…

1. Hit 9.3k Twitter followers: Keeping this one nice a (hopefully) achievable because I’m aware of how difficult growth is on Twitter at the moment!

2. Hit 5,350 blog followers: At the time of writing I have 5,266 so I think this will be pretty doable unless I post something awfully problematic and lose a bunch!

Update: I noticed I hit this one a few days before the end of March so I guess that’s one crossed off my list already!

3. Hit 200k all-time blog views: I’m aware these are all very stat related so far but you know, it’s my last goals post. Go big or go home. At the time of writing I’m just over 195k. Hitting that big 2 will be such a buzz!

4. Bake a cake for Easter: I already have an extremely yummy sounding banana and Nutella cake recipe saved in my phone so I’ll probably go for that!

5. Start playing The Evil Within: I bought this game in February and haven’t actually played it yet. After saying I want to do more gaming, I think it’s a good time to start this one!

6. Proper sort out my YouTube “watch later” folder: Oh God. In January I vowed I’d get all my 200+ watch later videos watched. Nope. I’m going to dedicate some time to really going through the list and only keeping the ones I genuinely want to watch!

7. Read 4 books: I like having these goals on the list because it just encourages me to keep reading. Last month my goal was 5 so I’ll give myself a little break this month!

8. Do something that usually makes me anxious: This one will probably consist of things like going into big shops – which is something I really struggle with when it comes to my anxiety.

I’ll keep it short and sweet for this month! I won’t be doing a round up post at the end of the month anymore but if you’re at all interested, I’ll most likely be tweeting about my goals and how I’m doing and you can find me on Twitter here! What are you hoping to achieve this month? Let me know!

  7. I know what you mean about monthly goals posts, my last one was in February but I stopped for different reasons – I didn’t want to put too much pressure on myself and be disappointed if I didn’t make my targets. I love the sound of that Nutella cake though – pleeeeeeeease make sure you take some photos and post them to Instagram at least?! 😘 Good luck with your goals, I’m sure you’ll smash them xx

    1. Learning not to be disappointed if I don’t do something on my goals list is something I’ve worked really hard on this year and it’s amazing when you crack it! xxx

  8. That’s a shame that this wikl be your last goals post, I love reading them, good luck with your goals. ur doing amazing. I aim to read an hour a day. I said it at the start of the year and i haven’t yet.

  9. Good luck with your goals! You’ve done amazingly well to reach so many followers!

And especially good luck with going into a large shop. Perhaps the first time, aim just to buy one thing. Don’t push yourself too much as even setting foot in there could be a huge achievement in itself. The next time you go, perhaps buy a few things or aim to look around for 5 minutes. The way I tackle this myself? Start small and slowly push that comfort zone a little bit each time xx

  10. I think it’s great to have monthly targets and goals to keep motivated. I have also set some but have written them down I don’t feel brave enough to go public with them so hats off to you. How did your Easter baking go? X x

    1. Awh you should, everyone’s so supportive! I haven’t done any baking just yet! So it probably won’t be Easter related baking anymore but I’d still like to try something sometime this month! xxx

  11. I like reading your monthly goals Jenny! Congrats on hitting your blog hitting your April goal before April began! I have a goal of reading four books which aren’t Uni books this month as well! Good Luck with all your goals x

  12. These are great goals Jenny – it’s nice you have a good mix of both blogging and personal goals here. I’m with you on the last one – I really need to push myself out of my comfort zone more often too! Good luck with all of your April goals! 💖 xx

  13. These are all great goals Jenny! They truly make me want to reach similar ones for myself, especially the one that has you doing something that makes you anxious. I start a new term today, so maybe asking someone for their number to study with might be a goal for this week

  14. I love the last one. Stepping outside of my comfort zone and doing things that seem a little scary is high on my agenda right now so I can relate to this one. You have no idea how hard I laughed when I saw ‘sort watch later’ on there again. Good luck with all of the number related ones too x

  15. I need to make some April goals, I have yearly ones but I think smaller monthly ones would be more manageable. I’m looking forward to seeing you reach your goals this month x

  16. Good luck in achieving all your goals! I really want to read a bit more this month thsn I did in March as I read less than in Jan/Feb. I also need to schedule almost all my April posts as I’m so behind, and start properly studying for my exams.

  17. Congratulations on hitting your goal, and good luck for the other stat goals as well! My YouTube ‘Watch Later’ list is extremely long as well, you’re not alone.. 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

  18. After last year, I promised myself, after two weeks if I haven’t watched anything on my YouTube watch later list then I delete it. Been quite good this year. Only have 12 vids in my watch later 😂

  19. One of my goals was to bake a cake for Easter as well. I had been watching Kids Baking Tournament on tv and was inspired to make one. I found a recipe for a basic chocolate cake and vanilla buttercream, but it didn’t turn out that great. Oh well, I’ll try again. I hope your cake turns out better than mine lol

  20. I can’t believe it’s already April either babe but I’m so happy that it is! The Evil Within is such a good game, I really recommend it. I’m wishing you so much luck and sending you so many positive vibes for your goals this month lovely, I’m more than sure that you’ll achieve all of them! 🌸✨

    With love, Alisha Valerie x
