#AD Ah, V Day. Are we really here again? Valentine’s Day comes around faster and faster every year it seems and just when the Valentine’s Day Gift Guide posts from the previous year have started to dwindle out, they’re back with gusto! One of my blogging goals for this year was to be more topical and relevant. Last year was the first in 6 years of blogging that I’d given Christmas Gift Guides (part 1 & part 2) a proper good go and as it turns out, I really enjoyed it and in faith of wanting to grow my blog, being relevant is always a good place to start.

So, here we are… my very first Valentine’s Day gift guide! My boyfriend and I don’t personally celebrate the day for our own reasons but if you do, by all means, crack on. No judgement here. I do however always put a lot of thought and effort into buying gifts for people – whatever the occasion – so for that reason, I wanted to put together a little Valentine’s Day gift guide for anyone who’s a bit stuck and looking for something sweet (and reasonably priced) for a loved one this year!

bakerdays Letterbox cake – £14.99

Chances are, if you’re a blogger then you’ve probably heard of bakerdays before and their infamous Letterbox Cakes. I’ve been fortunate enough to feature one of these on my blog before and I also won one from someone else and featured that one here (I bloody loved this one!) so it’s pretty evident that the Letterbox Cakes do not get old on Jenny in Neverland! This time, I chose one of their huge range of Valentine’s Day cakes – most of which are able to be personalised for that extra special touch although I didn’t get mine personalised because as I said, we don’t celebrate it personally – and I went for the lemon cake. These cakes make really sweet little gifts, for Valentine’s Day and any time of year really as they’re so convenient (yes, they really do fit through your letterbox), reasonably prices and super yummy.

Rosina’s Lotions & Potions St. Valentines Gift Box – £47

The Rosina’s St. Valentines Gift Box would make a gorgeous gift for a loved one (or even for yourself!) around Valentine’s Day because it’s got all the perfect self care components you need. Rosina’s Lotions & Potions products are all packaged so beautifully, with their signature floral print and the St. Valentines Gift Box includes a rose scented Rosina’s candle, a kale a pomegranate face mask, a rose perfecting oil and a flannel. All products contain natural ingredients and aren’t tested on animals – bonus! I thought this entire box was just stunning and I gifted the candle to my Mum, who loves a candle and she loved it too.

ASDA Photo Rose Gold Sequin Reveal Cushion – from £16

I’m sure we’ve all seen the sequin reveal cushions by now… I mean they’re everywhere (even on t-shirts?! Who’d have thought?!) And I was kindly gifted one from ASDA Photo, ASDA’s very over photo printing service to feature in this gift guide. The other side of the cushion (the one without the sequins) is super soft and keeping with the rose gold theme too. I was also very surprised at how clearly the photo came out, being as it’s printed on… sequins? But that might just be me in my ripe old age of 26, amazed at how technology works. But anyway, I think ASDA’s sequin reveal cushions would make a lovely gift!

ASDA Photo Retro Prints – 25p each (choose from 1, 5, 10 or 20)

Also from ASDA photo are these super cute little retro prints, which I absolutely love. I love anything personal with a photo on it and I also love polaroids. Although I don’t own a polaroid camera myself, there’s nothing quite like holding those photos you love in your hands – rather than looking at them on a screen. This would be a really great option for someone who does a lot of scrapbooking or someone who’s quite artistic and creative. You also have the option include a caption at the bottom, which you can see I did above, which I think is a really nice touch too.

Nude Jewellery Earrings – £75

I absolutely love this next product. Jewellery. We all love jewellery. It makes a great gift for someone else and even a great treat to ourselves (and damn it, we totally should be treating ourselves more). And I’m sorry but hoop earrings make everything better. Wanna jazz up  a tracksuit? Hoop earrings. Smart but casual? Hoop earrings. The Oscars? Hoop earrings. And these stunning, dainty but incredibly pretty 18mm silver hoops from Nude are just perfect. I’ve really grown to love simple but effective jewellery as I’ve gotten older (as opposed to great big whopping statement pieces) so these are just perfect. For Valentine’s Day and for every day.

Funky Pigeon Personalised Photo Card – £3.29

These next few gifts are all from Funky Pigeon, which I’m sure you’ve heard of before. I’ll start with cards because I’m sure that’s the first thing most of us think of when we think of Funky Pigeon, is their huge selection of cards, most of which can be personalised. I chose this ‘I’d Pause My Game For You‘ card because we’re both quite big gamers. But there’s thousands to choose from!

Lily O’Brien’s Ultimate Chocolate Collection – £12.99

Chocolates? For Valentine’s Day? Isn’t that a bit cliché? Seriously, the person who complains about receiving chocolate for any occasion needs to think about what they’re saying before they say it. Chocolate makes a fantastic gift – who doesn’t like chocolate? And this Lily O’Brien’s Ultimate Chocolate Collection is fantastic because you get a little bit of everything!

ManCave Original Skincare Set – £19.99

And a little something for him? If your partner is anything like mine and doesn’t know the faintest thing about skincare or skin products, this is a good place to start. Who knew Funky Pigeon were so versatile? This original skincare set from ManCave makes a great little extra if you’re spoiling your man this year. Plus it’s Vegan and all natural!

Love Tokens for Her – £4.99

And for a little bit of fun, I had to include these Love Tokens for Her from Funky Pigeon. Want a massage? A homemade meal? A bit of alone time? There’s a token for that! Funky Pigeon also have Love Tokens for Him and love tokens if you’re feeling on the naughtier side…

Edge Inspired Valentine’s Day Tokens – £9.99

And finally, I have a really sweet gift from Edge Inspired (who I’ve been lucky enough to work with before) which would make a cute extra for your love this Valentine’s Day. You can have your tokens engraved with personalized messages, depending on the recipient and they’d make a lovely little gift to keep in your purse, so you know someone special is thinking about you.

And there we go! I hope you enjoyed this little gift guide and it’s given you some sort of inspiration – maybe not just for Valentine’s Day but any occasion! Are you celebrating this year?

  1. Printed photos are always a good idea! Most people have them on their phone now. It’s such a personal gift and you can be as creative with it as you like.

  2. We never usually do presents for Valentines, it’s way too commercialised for me! We just usually buy cards and go for a meal and to the cinema or something which is a frequent outing for us being Unlimited card holders at Cineworld so nothing special. I do really like those polaroid style prints from Asda though and they’d be great for when we move to put some on the fridge or something so I might order some!

  12. All of these gifts are great & I want that cake for myself haha
For this Valentine’s Day I’m planning on making a nice dinner & dessert for my boyfriend & our daughter & I’m also planning on getting him green-themed gifts (his fav color). I saw these color-themed gift baskets on Facebook & I thought it would be fun to do so we’ll see.

  13. I’m so impressed by Asda!! I don’t celebrate valentine’s Day, been married for over 17yrs so it’s not needed, but my daughter bought the valentine’s heart bowls and plates for uni from home bargains, so there’s always a good find in the valentine’s section x

    1. The retro prints would literally be perfect for a scrapbook type thing! They’re such good value and the photos come out really well too 😌 I’ve been really impressed with ASDA too! Xxx
