Sometimes it’s the really simple posts which you crave to write. And that’s me right now. I can’t be arsed going off on a big ol’ tangent about anything. I can’t be bothered critiquing a book or ranting about the blogging community (I mean… not that there’s anything to rant about because it’s practically perfect in every way). I just wanna sit down and answer some questions. So that’s what I’m doing. Hey-oh.
The last general Q&A I did was back in October (although I did do a Disney themed one which was really fun) and my follower count has grown quite a bit since then so for any newbies, hey! Nice to meet you, here’s some pointless information about me, I hope you enjoy.
In all the years you’ve been blogging, do you have a favourite post that you’ve written? If so, what is it and why is it your favourite?
This is such a difficult question because shortly before writing this post, I just had hit 1,000 posts. So I have ONE THOUSAND posts to choose from. I really liked my post titled Behind the Blogging Mask and I think it’s one of my favourites simply because it 100% came from the heart and I finally expressed everything I was feeling about that particular topic. It was freeing to get it all written down! However, I have deleted that post since writing this.
What are you looking forward to the most this year?
I’m looking forward to heading back to Brands Hatch in August to watch the DTM the most, so far. As it’s been a bit of a rocky beginning of the year, at the time of writing this, I don’t have an awful lot planned but I’m sure there will be other stuff coming up soon.
What is your favourite thing about Winter?
Everything. I adore Winter – it’s my favourite season. I think my favourite thing is simply the cold.
If you could do any job in the world, regardless of qualification etc, what would it be?
This is a really tough one because there’s so much to choose from if qualifications etc are no object. If I’m looking on the slightly more realistic side, I’d probably just love to own and run my own book shop but if I’m really pushing the boat out, probably a Formula 1 engineer or strategist.
What’s your biggest blogging dream?
Probably to work with Disney! Oh it would be the biggest dream! But really, it’s just to make a steady and solid full-time income from my blog and my own resources. I’m over halfway there so I guess this is a dream that could be a reality if I keep working hard!
What does your perfect day look like?
My perfect day would start by waking up early in a cottage somewhere in the countryside, where there’s no-one else around and all you can hear are the bird and maybe some other animals. Having breakfast then getting ready to go out somewhere for the day – probably the zoo – coming back, getting a takeaway and watching something binge-worthy on Netflix. I’m a simple gal.
If you started your blog again, from the beginning, what would your very first post be about?
My first post was a book review of The Perks of Being a Wallflower because I was a book blogger when I started but if I started again, I definitely wouldn’t be a book blogger so I’d probably do a simple Q&A or something to introduce people to me and my blog!
If you could reread only one series over and over again what series would it be?
Okay I’m going to cheat a little bit here because I don’t really read series (I bet you thought I was going to say Harry Potter) so I’m just going to choose a book in general so if I could only reread one book over and over again, it’d probably be The Age of Miracles by Karen Thomson-Walker.
What do you do to relax?
Nothing. I don’t relax. Ever. Kidding but I do find it really hard to relax. But mostly, I like to play video games. They’re a really good way for me to completely switch off from real life that nothing else seems to allow me to do. I love The Sims but at the moment I’ve been totally engrossed in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Where is your favourite place?
Disneyland Paris. My favourite place on Earth!
[…] been a long-ass time since I did a Q&A on my blog. I think it was this one, waaaay back last year. Whilst I love doing those chill and chatty Q&A’s, I didn’t […]
I love posts like this as it’s a great way to get to know the person behind the blog.
Working with Disney would be incredible, I hope this happens for you.

Thank you! Me too 🤞🏻
I love videogames for relaxing too! What are you currently playing? I would also love to own my own bookshop / cafe <3
I’m not currently playing anything because I finished Red Dead Redemption 2 a few weeks ago and can’t get over it 😂
Ooo, may I take these questions to answer on my blog? I may have only been blogging a year (this time round xD) but they seem fun! One day I will visit Disneyland Paris. *sniffle*

Absolutely 😌
I’m a big winter fan too. Right now I’m cuddled up on the couch and it’s bliss.
I love reading posts like this as you really get to know more about the blogger x
Thank you x
This was really interesting:)
Awesome Post. Love learning : )
Such a cute post and those pictures!! 😮
Thank you 😌😌
Sims is literally the best game on earth!
Love, Amie ❤
The Curvaceous Vegan
Haha I haven’t played in ages because my laptop is a bit too slow for it now!
So interesting that you like the cold! I like everything about winter apart from how cold it gets! Formula 1 engineer would be sooooo interesting and such a good experience. Oh working with Disney! Can you imagine!! Dream come true!! How come you are no longer a book blogger? Also, I really need to read The Age of Miracles if it is a favourite of yours! xx
The Age of Miracles is AMAZING! I just grew out of book blogging. I didn’t like the community and I wasn’t reading as much a i just preferred the lifestyle posts I was doing much more 😌 I no longer really enjoyed reading either, knowing that I had to review the book afterwards xxx
‘Cupcakes and Cauldrons’ the coffee shop/Wiccan shop I always wanted to open! 🙂 Really enjoyed reading your answers – I love to game too. Mine is usually D3 but I do play The Sims 4 every now and again. 😀

Thank you 😌 I love The Sims too!
Wow 1000 posts! Now that is an accomplishment, I can imagine it was hard to choose a favorite post. And yay – I love winter too, it’s my favorite season (semi-tied between autumn and winter though haha)
The small book shop sounds like the perfect idea, all the books, can’t imagine a better job! Formula 1 Engineer/Strategist sounds like a really fun job too, imagine a scenario where you’d have a book shop and then be a Formula 1 Engineer during the weekend, best of both worlds!
I actually can’t even remember my first post and sort of never want to scroll that far back, I feel like as I continued blogging I developed my own voice, looking back sounds very cringe at the moment haha.
YAY MY QUESTION! I thought you would have said Harry Potter haha a plot twist! I’ve actually never heard of The Age of Miracles by Karen Thomson-Walker – just added it to my want to read list on Goodreads!

Hahaha! Unfortunately that wouldn’t be doable as F1 is a full-time job, there’s no rest for the engineers! They work all week, during race weekends and then all the way until the next race 🤦♀️ I’ve still not read all the Harry Potters tbh! I’d definitely recommend The Age of Miracles! xxx
Fab Q&A! 1000 posts, that’s pretty amazing, you’re doing amazing with your blog. I hope you get to work with Disney one day!!
Chloe xx

I have had 6 years to build that up though haha! I kinda wish it was less tbh xxx
A cottage in the countryside does sound like bliss! Disney Land Paris is awesome, I haven’t been in forever so maybe it’s time I planned a trip now the kids are getting a bit older.
Great post, I do love Q&A’s.
Thanks for sharing.
Much Love.

Thank you 😌
This was such a great post to read! Yes it’s nice to read reviews and rants etc, but it’s lovely to learn a little more about the person behind the blog too!

Totally 😌 sometimes I’m just not in the mood to read or write anything serious!
I love the Sims too! And your perfect day sounds so good!
Thank you 😌
Wow!! 1000 posts is Amazing!!! I love winter too– the season suits me so well. I love getting cosy at home and I think snow is so pretty!!!
Running your own bookshop sounds so cool!!!
I hope you achieve your blogging dreams– you work very hard so you definitely deserve it!!
I think Netflix and a takeaway would be at the end of my perfect day too!! 😊
Lovely reading your answers!! 💛
Snow is really pretty 😌 Don’t know how anyone can hate it! xxx
It’s so nice to learn a bit more about Jenny behind the blog! Thanks for doing the Q&A 🙂 I loved your answer about the F1 dream job – that would be so awesome! And I’m with you on the perfect day (sounds like heaven!), it’s the simple pleasures right? B x
It would be amazing wouldn’t it! But I think you have to be SO clever! 🤦♀️🤦♀️
Loved this little Q&A, they’re a great way to get to know the person behind the blog. Disney really would be a dream client to work with!
Thank you 😌
This is a great post. And videogames can be great. When I’m feeling really stressed I put viva pinata on. it’s a totally non violent kids game, but it’s filled with pretty colors, funny sounds and all you do is take care of your garden. Can’t stress while doing that hehe.
Thank you for sharing <3
Video games are a great way to switch off. Although I’d much rather killing people as an outlaw on Red Dead Redemption 😂😂
Oh I do that too, though not in RDR. I’m playing Fear and Prototype too, just to do some killing when needed hehe.
Love a Q&A! I adore Disneyland Paris – I went with my family in 2014 so I’m definitely due a trip soon! Hopefully I’ll be able to save my pennies and go at some point this or next year! Maybe I’ll have a Disney Movie Marathon asap to get me in the mood!

A Disney movie marathon sounds like just the ticket! xxx
Disneyland is such a magical place! First went there when I was 18, loved it – went there at 22 and loved it! It’s just one of those places that you can never grow old from – no one is ever too old for Disney!
Jessica & James | http://www.foodandbaker.co.uk
Definitely! I enjoyed it just as much at 5 as I did at 21 😂😂 xxx
This is such a lovely post and thank you for answering my question, Jenny! 🙂 I love your idea of a perfect day, takeaway and Netflix is the ideal combination, yay for the simple things in life. I haven’t been to the zoo in ages, I’d love to go sometime, it is such an enjoyable day out. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed for your Disney collab, they would be so lucky to work with you! Also, wow… 1,000 blog posts, that’s seriously impressive! I think I have around 150 so I have a long way to go before I get there, ha ha! Thanks for sharing your answers, fab post! <3 xxx
Bexa | http://www.hellobexa.com
When you’re next at mine we’ll go to the zoo! There’s loads of really lovely ones near us 😌 xxx
I think Q&A’s are a great way to get to know bloggers a bit more. Your dream of running a book shop is so cool! My dream would be to have my own Interior Design company – hopefully, it’ll become a reality in a few years.
Eve | http://www.evemorganinteriors.com
Wow that’d be amazing and I’d definitely hire you to design my shop 😉
Great post! I’m a huge Disney fan as well, so I totally relate to the need to be at Disneyland, it’s just such a magical place.
It really is. I crave it sometimes?
Disneyland is one of my happy places too. Especially if you go on back to school day it is empty! Working with disney would be a dream too! Food takeaway and binge worthy netflix… yep, my kind of day too!
Oh totally! I’d never go during school holidays!
I love Q&As with bloggers! It’s always fun to learn more about you 🙂 Even though, I can’t fully support your opinion on winter ….
Oh no…. I feel like we may have to part ways because of that 😂😉
Disneyland Paris in winter! That’s all 🙂
Literally perfect! But very cold… I’ve been in Winter and had to wear 6 pairs of tights 😂
Yes we’ve done beautiful sunny winter days but also very wet April days, I’ll settle for something in between!
It’s amazing! Very cold (I’ve been in winter and had to wear 6 pairs of tights!)
Aww I love this! If you need staff for your bookshop one day..! Aha! Lovely post.
Haha! You’ll be my first call ☺️
Yay so glad someone else loves Winter! It’s my favourite too, I much prefer the cold over a hot summer but everyone seems to just be willing for Spring and Summer to be here now! I don’t want Winter to end haha. Loved finding out more about you xx
Tiffany x http://www.foodandotherloves.co.uk
Right! I can’t stand it when everyone’s like “oh my god bring back summer!” 😂
I’m with you on waking up in the countryside to birdsong. In summer I sometimes do this when it gets light earlier and I can’t sleep and it’s wonderful, so still and tranquil. Until the cats start yowling for breakfast, haha. I know how much Disney means to you so I REALLY hope someone in the right place is reading this post and gets in touch, that would be a fabulous post to read in due course. Loved reading this, Jenny, so nice to find out more about you 🙂 xx
Lisa | http://www.lisasnotebook.com
Thanks Lisa! A Disney collab is the dream one day… 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Dream job without having to factor in things like qualifications or practicality is so hard! I’m thinking of so many things right now! x

It was a really tough question!
I love that your favourite place is Disneyland Paris – I adore it there so much too! Great Q&A lovely, thanks for sharing 💜
With love, Alisha Valerie x | http://www.alishavalerie.com
Absolutely – my happiest place on earth!
Oh the dream of a book shop, or coffee shop it would be heaven
That’d be lovely 😌
I’d love to run my own book shop too! x
