I know I’m starting to sound like a broken record but May? MAY. We’re over a third of the way through 2019 already and I swear the meltdown of New Years Eve 2000 was only 2 years ago? (Seriously though, who remembers that?) I hope you all had a lovely Easter, ate far too many Easter Eggs and are well into the spirit of Spring by now. I certainly am. I can’t step outside without my eyes streaming down my face and my nose getting blocked so I’ve locked myself away in my bedroom with the windows and curtains shut. Happy Spring! Anyway, let’s meet my fabulous Spring advertisers shall we?

First up this month we have a regular face which I’m always delighted to welcome back onto my blog and that’s the lovely Kim from Chimmyville! Kim is a lifestyle blogger that covers travel – mostly staycations which are my favourite type of holiday at the moment – food & drink and general lifestyle. Kim is a wonderful supportive blogger so I’d definitely recommend giving her blog a little read!

Next up we have a new face on my Meet the Advertisers post, which is Gaia-s, a blog which focuses heavily on environmental protection, nature and ecology. Which given the state of the world at the moment, are some incredibly worthy things to be writing about! From plastic and recycling and some more personal posts thrown in, Gaia-s is both educational and a fun read!

The great thing about my advertisers this month is that they’re all so wildly different. Which I think is amazing because I love being able to showcase different types of blogs to you and offer something which will appeal to everyone. We’ve had lifestyle and environmentally focused and my third lovely advertisers this month focuses mostly on mental health – another very worthy topic. Meditative Owl is run by Naomi and she covers various aspects of mental health in a really interesting way, both through personal anecdotes, guest posts and more.

I’d love to welcome another new face to my advertisers this month, which is the lovely Ria from Ria Amber Tesia. Ria has always been a huge support on Twitter and very excitingly, she’s started a new role as a journalist and food critic! Which is amazing! Clearly she knows a lot about food, so foodies, this is a good one for you! But as well as food related posts, she also posts about health and fitness and she’s an author and you can find out more about her books on her blog!

And finally, we have the lovely Sophie from Soph Hearts, who’s blog is just utterly gorgeous and dreamy. If you love all things beauty (and beautiful photography) then this is the blog for you. She posts fantastic, detailed beauty reviews as well as fashion and style related content, lifestyle, travel and more and she has an absolutely stunning Instagram feed too! I’m not jealous or bitter. Not at all.

Brand advertisement

This month I also have a brand advertisement to share with you for a fab company which you travel bloggers and keen travelers will absolutely love! And if you love trying out local cuisine, even better!

Japan is definitely one of the destinations on my travel bucket list. My boyfriend was lucky enough to be sent there for work a couple of years back and he really embraced the Japanese cuisine whilst he was there.

The photos of the sushi displays he sent me were drool worthy!

Doot is a dining experiences platform for travelers in Japan to meet with locals at their regular food spots that only they know.

Choose from 8 authentic atmospheres and regional cuisines, then get connected with a host so you can build connections with the locals at your travel destination in a personal and natural way.

There we have it! My 6 advertisers for this month. I love how much of a huge range of topics and niches we have this month – there’s certainly something for everyone! Please do send them some love and views!

  2. A fantastic and diverse group! I’m always keen to explore new and interesting blogs so will check these writers out! The Doot platform sounds good. I know when I was in Tokyo I felt so lost at times when it came to food, so I think this would be very helpful for travellers!

    Great post Jenny!

  6. Awesome round-up of bloggers. I love the drawing of attention to plastic waste but I can’t help wishing there was a disabled blogger to balance the views with why some single use plastic is essential to enable them to have an independent life and/or to socialise.

      1. Me too! It’s why I find it strange (and in some ways offensive) when I see environmental bloggers say things like “I don’t see the problem with paper straws and what all the fuss is about” and I’m just there like uhhhh loads of people have been talking about this on Twitter – are you just not listening?
(Not aimed @ you – just an observation from reading an article from one of the advertisers last night)

  7. A few new faces here for me this month as well as a couple of familiar favourites . Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll have to check them out. x

  8. Wow, what a varied bunch you have this month! I love the sound of Gaia-s particularly, the environment is such a hot topic right now and it’s cool that blogs are drawing attention to that! I can’t get over Sophie’s beautiful Instagram either, so pretty!

  9. Another fabulous bunch of advertisers again, Jenny. I know and love both Kim and Soph but all the others are new to me, so I can’t wait to go and have a nosey on their blogs. Thank you for the blog post recommendations too, that’s really helpful. Oh, and I hope your hayfever gets better soon – apparently ginger and garlic are helpful, as is steering clear of too much dairy! X
