AD: US & Canada Travel Wish List

I’ve done a few travel wish list style posts on my blog before but rarely do I categorize them into certain continents or type of holiday. I did so with my Winter travel wish list and I really enjoyed creating that post as it really allowed me to hone in on the types of travel experiences I’d like to have in the future.

I don’t travel a lot and for the last few years I’ve tended to stick to staycations such as the Norfolk Broads, the Severn Valley Railway, and The Lake District among others. I love a staycation – I think the UK is a beautiful place to go on holiday and there’s so many gems here to discover.

BUT I would like to travel internationally more in the future, as there’s so many places I still want to see. Look at any of my previous travel wish lists and the places on them tend to be more Europe and Scandinavia based. Across the pond seems like a whole other world to me. But definitely one I’d like to explore in my life at some point!

Here are some of the destinations on my US and Canada travel wish list!

Walt Disney World Florida

I mean, obviously this was going to be the top of my list? I’ve been to Disneyland Paris a few times and I love it but of course I’d love to experience more Disney Parks than just the Paris one eventually. Walt Disney World would obviously be the top choice as there’s SO MUCH TO DO. One of my favourite bloggers, Lady Writes, has recently come back from a mega family holiday to WDW and has lots of content about it on her blog!

New York at Christmas

I mean, I’m not a city person really. But who doesn’t want to explore New York? The shopping. The food. Broadway. Central Park. The Statue of Liberty. I want to see it all! Better still, I’d love to visit New York at Christmas and see everything with the added magic of the Christmas lights and Christmas trees. Dreamy…

Explore Vancouver

I think Canada has always appealed to me a bit more than the US. Surrounded by mountains and water, Vancouver definitely sounds up my street. And I think one of the best ways to experience it all would be looking at car hire in Vancouver. The Sea to Sky Gondola, Vancouver Aquarium, a whale watching trip, English Bay Beach and much more, you’d definitely need a car to get everything in!

Niagara Falls & Maid of the Mist Boat Trip

Ever since watching Bruce Almighty all those years ago, I’ve wanted to visit Niagara Falls and take a ride of the Maid of the Mist boat to get right up close to the falls themselves. From the very limited amount I’ve seen in videos etc, they look absolutely beautiful, so this would definitely be on my wish list of things to do in both the US and Canada!

Grand Canyon

I don’t know much about the Grand Canyon but I do know it’s absolutely beautiful and definitely somewhere I’d like to see in my lifetime. I’d love to visit during sunrise and sunset and get some gorgeous photos among all those millions of years of geological history.

US Grand Prix

And finally, it wouldn’t be a wish list without some sort of racing event on it would it? You know I love my F1 but I’m yet to go to a Grand Prix. If I found myself in the US, the Grand Prix would definitely be on my list of things to do. The US Grand Prix is always one I look forward to the most throughout the season too.

Have you been to the US or Canada? What’s been the most incredible place you’ve visited? Have you been to any of these places I’ve mentioned here?

    1. Awh so lucky!

  2. I love the US. I’ve been quite a few times between Florida as we have family there, and Texas when Jack worked there for a year.
Disney world is my favourite place.

    1. I’d love to go to Texas!

  3. I’ve been to New York a few times but we went for New Year one year and it was not the greatest. I’d like to see it in early December to see if it felt more magical before Christmas. I’d love to visit the Grand Canyon too! x

    1. I don’t think I’d like it for new year tbh, I don’t celebrate new year that much!

  4. Oh wow, I would love to go to any/all of these, it would be incredible!

    1. It sure would! X

  5. I’ve got this idea in my head that I want to travel solo to New York next year but every time I see Canada on the TV or meet a Canadian or even see pictures, I just crave to go. Except I’ll definitely have to wait until spring because I really couldn’t handle a Canadian winter!

    1. They have pretty harsh winters! Hope you manage to go to both! 😌

This is a fab list. I’ve always wanted to go the new York. The grand canyon is amazing, i went when I was 18. Im the same thought, haven’t been on a holiday abroad this year and im craving travel

    1. I love a staycation though! There’s loads of great places to see in the UK. So lucky you got to go to the Grand Canyon!

I would absolutely love to see Niagara Falls! But top of my US bucket list is Mount Rushmore for sure x

    1. Ohh that’d be amazing too!

  8. I would love to be in London or Germany for Christmas in the future! Some of my friends have been in NYC at Christmas, and they loved it! I don’t necessarily have a desire to be there during that magical time of year, but I’d certainly want to visit in the Winter because it’s pretty humid the rest of the year!

    1. Oh yeah same I definitely couldn’t go in the summer!

  9. I loved Walt Disney World! It is literally the happiest place on earth!

  10. Niagara Falls and Grand Canyon are definitely top of my US bucket list! Not really bothered about cities or specific states but I’d love to see the more natural areas… Yellowstone is high on my list too, and I’ve always wanted to see a Redwood forest.

    1. Yellowstone would be amazing x

  11. Boss Babe Chronicles says:

New York is VERY high on my bucket list. I’ve wanted to go ever since I first watched Home Alone 2 haha!

    1. Haha hope you get to go!

  12. I just got back from my trip to New York and Toronto and I absolutely loved it! I’m a city person through and through, and New York is my new favourite place – I definitely want to come back and explore more of the US and Canada! I’m sure New York would be even more magical at Christmas time and Niagara Falls is very high on my bucket list!

    1. Awh hope you had an amazing time!

  13. Florida is my happy place! I’d 100% move there if I could!

    1. It looks wonderful!

  14. I’m desperate to do a full tour of the US and Canada! I went when I was like 2 to Disney world Florida, so while the pictures are cute I can’t remember anything. Apparently we came back to a skunk in our room, can’t remember that either haha! I’d love to do a full 2 months or so and visit everywhere possible. I know that if I go it’ll probably be the only time I go as there are sooo many countries I want to visit, so I want to do as much as possible!
    Bella x –

    1. A skunk??? Oh my god it’s a shame you can’t remember that hahaha!

  15. Emily Ann says:

This was so fun to read! I find it so fascinating to see where other people want to travel. I think it really says a lot about a person (in a good way!). I have to say Disney World is a MUST! I’ve only been once but it was so great! I know it’s not as big, but Disneyland is the OG and super fun too. And as I live in AZ, I have to say the Grand Canyon is spectacular! But try not to go in the summer- even though it’s up north, it’ll probably still be quite warm, haha (plus crowded!). And I’ve always wanted to go to Canada, too! I think it just looks so lush and lovely. I hope you can check all of these off of your travel bucket list one day!

    1. Oh I definitely wouldn’t go in the summer – I hate the heat so that’d literally be the worst idea ever haha!

  19. New York at Christmas is the dream! It would be magical. I’m also keen to visit Canada one day, it looks stunning xx

    Tiffany x

    1. It really would!

  20. I think New York a Christmas will have to be ticked off my list at some point and I’m going to have to get over my fear of long haul flights!

    Katt x

    1. Ugh I haven’t flown in years either so I don’t even know how I’d react to them now!

  21. New York is a great place all the time, but it’s really magical during Christmas. When I was a kid, my family would go every year to see The Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. Lots of good memories!

  22. My dad went to Canada last month and I was so jealous! xx

    1. Lucky him!
