AD – this post contains PR samples

Goodness gracious me. Are we here AGAIN? Looks like it. And it feels like only yesterday I was creating my 2019 Valentine’s Day Gift Guide. Okay so I think we’ve all established the months are FLYING by (although a month’s worth of stuff happened in the first week of January alone so that month, good golly, felt long) but alas, here we are. Valentine’s Day 2020.

Valentine's Day Gift Guide

I have no qualms about Valentine’s Day. Like most holidays, it’s fairly commercialized nowadays but I don’t think that’s any reason to be mad. It’s just another excuse to show the people in your life how much you care about them – romantically or not. It’s certainly not about the money or the price of things. It’s about giving that person something you KNOW they’ll love. Whether that’s a £3000 ring or a cup of tea. Each to their own.

So I’ve compiled a list of various gift ideas for people of all different natures with all different interests for this year’s guide to help you find the perfect gift for someone in your life:

For the music lover: Personalized Sound Wave Necklace – Prezzybox £34.95

Prezzybox are a great option for all different types of gifts. You can find a gift for any person, for any occasion and they have a great range for Valentine’s Day too. This personalized sound wave necklace really spoke to me because 1) I love music, 2) I love anything personalized and 3) I love jewelry. So win, win, win in my opinion. I’ve bought my boyfriend a sound wave print in the past and I think they make such lovely personal gifts. Especially if it features a song that holds a special meaning for you both! They come in gold, silver or rose gold and can feature ANY song!

For the one who has everything: Single Watch Winder – Barrington £125

If you have a bit of a watch fanatic or watch collector in your life, then the Single Watch Winders from Barrington could be the perfect gift option. Especially if that person already has everything! They have a super quiet Japanese motor and can be operated by battery and by AC mains. They can also be set to suit any weight of watch as they have multiple rotation settings. They come in a big variety of colours so you can match it the decor of the room you’ll be using it in too.

For the keen holiday maker: Make-up Train Case – Ellis James Designs $25.95

Oh I love a practical gift, don’t you? For the travelers or keen holiday makers among you, this is as practical as it comes. I’m an organized as heck person. But for some reason, when I’m away, that goes down the drain. Make up and cosmetics in particular are a nightmare to keep in order. This practical make-up train case from Ellis James Designs is the perfect solution. Any gifts that keep me even MORE organized are a win from me! (What exactly IS a makeup train case?)

For the guitar player: Personalized Plectrum – Prezzybox £24.99

Another gift idea from Prezzybox and keeping with the music theme of the previous one. I chose to feature this personalized plectrum in my guide this year because my boyfriend has got back into playing music and he’s ALWAYS on his guitar (does it drive me mad sometimes? Yes. Will I tell him? No). So I know he’d really like this. It’s made from highly polished steel, can be personalized and is a perfect little keepsake for your loved one to keep in their purse or wallet (or guitar case, if they’re a musician!)

For the Yogi: Activewear Leggings from £10.00 / Loungewear Trousers £22.00 – Lucy Locket Loves

We know I love Yoga by now so if someone gifted me some Yoga clothes from Lucy Locket Loves for Valentine’s Day, I’d be over the moon! First, let’s talk about the activewear leggings. You’ll be blown away by the choice of incredible prints – from floral, galaxy print, animals, geometric and so much more. There’s a design for everyone. The leggings are super-elasticated high waist and squat proof and take it from me, the most COMFORTABLE leggings you’ll ever wear in your life. It really does feel like you’re just wearing… skin.

Now onto the loungwear trousers which could also certainly be used to practice some sweet, gentle Yoga in but also great for well, lounging around. As the name says. Again, these are incredibly comfortable, light weight, soft with a drawstring on each leg so they can be adjusted for your height and preference. Their ethos and designs represent owner, Lucy’s positive outlook on life, which I absolutely LOVE.

For the one with the sweet tooth: Personalised Photo Chocolates – Funky Pigeon £19.99

I mean, it wouldn’t be a Valentine’s Day guide without some sort of chocolate or sweet product in it, would it? Chocolates might be the most stereotypical Valentine’s Day gift idea but… when has anyone ever complained about receiving chocolates? I’ll wait. These personalised photo chocolates from Funky Pigeon are a great option because you can add your favourite photo of you and your other half / friend / loved on for that extra personalised touch. Oh and Lily O’Brian chocolates are INCREDIBLE too.

For the snuggler: Flowery Photo Cushion – Funky Pigeon £19.99

And something to keep the snuggler in your life happy. Funky Pigeon do a great range of personalisable cushions which are both affordable and would make a sweet Valentine’s Day gift for someone who doesn’t mind cuddling up to a picture of your face every night! I chose this particular Funky Pigeon photo cushion as I love the floral design and the image on the cushion itself comes out so clear. I’d be tempted to get one of these with a photo of my dog in it too.

For the make up lover: Beauty Gift Set – NOTE £26.85

Can you do stocking fillers for Valentine’s Day? I don’t see why not (okay seriously, what a cute idea). What I’m saying is, if stocking fillers for Valentine’s Day was a THING, then these cute little beauty gift sets from NOTE would be fab additions. Coming in different sets for face, lips, smokey eyes, no make-up and more, not only do they make sweet gifts but they also look fab too – I love the packaging and the box they come in!

Which of these gift ideas stand out to you most? Do you have any of these types of people in your life? Would you consider any of these gift ideas for Valentine’s Day (or beyond)?

  1. You always have the cutest ideas for gifts. I love that little guitar pick and the music wave necklace is so lovely. Shame I can’t actually get my husband to celebrate it as any excuse for those chocolates eh!

  2. Lovely ideas here. I never know what to get Rob. I spent too many single valentines that the whole thing kind of passed me by.

I love the sound bar necklace, such a lovely idea x

  3. We don’t really give each other Valentine’s Day gifts and choose to book an experience instead – for example, we go to a restaurant we’ve been wanting to visit or book a massage. To be perfectly honest, I absolutely hate personalised cushions and I’m not into personalised gifts in general, but the chocolates are lovely!

  4. I love those leggings; they’re too cute!! Like I mentioned on Instagram, the pillow is adorable. However, I think that the necklace is, by far, my favourite from this fab selection. And I, like you, think Valentine’s is a lovely occasion to celebrate the ones you love–it’s origins alone make it worth celebrating as well, imo!

  5. I love all of these Valentine’s gift ideas! Oooh you can never go wrong with a watch that can be used for different occasions. It is great that customizable products is super accessible now! Thanks for sharing these ideas!

  7. Me and my partner don’t usually celebrate valentines day but this year we are, and I’m so excited about the entire thing.

Thank you for sharing your lovely gift guide. I think I might need to treat us to a cute cushion…he’ll probably laugh but it’s so cute!

  8. I CANNOT believe it’s Valentines Day already?! It’s actually so scary how fast time is going … 🙁 I absolutely love the idea of getting your partner a personalised gift for Valentines Day though, it’s super cute, unique and thoughtful! 🙂 xx

  9. Okay, that floral pillow of you two is adorable! I’d love to get my partner something like that, as we’re both obsessed with cuddly, comfy things. We don’t really get each other gifts for V Day anymore but this post is making me think we should!
