As we head into 2021, most of us will be thinking about or contemplating our personal development goals for the next 12 months. Despite being just utterly ridiculous, for me, 2020 was a year of HUGE self growth. In both my personal life and my blog and career. I worked with 2 life coaches this year. I uncovered so much about myself that I didn’t even realise was there, under the surface. And I have a clearer vision that ever of where I want to go in the future

BUT, personal growth has no finish line. And I think that’s the beauty of it. We are ALWAYS growing. Always changing. Always learning and adapting. Our values and goals may change over time and that’s okay. Different seasons of our lives require different things from us.
If 2020 wasn’t a year of self growth and clarity for you, that’s a-okay my love. 2020 will go down in history. I don’t think any of us expected a year like this. And if the only thing you’ve done this year is stay healthy and stay at home, well, I don’t think anyone can blame you for that.

So wherever you sit on the personal growth scale right now is okay. Our personal development journeys are just that – journeys. They will speed up and slow down. They will hit bumps in the road (like 2020) and they will have beautiful, smooth-sailing moments as well. Those moments are coming. Trust me.

I love so much that you categorised all of these!! I generally do four classifications: spiritual, personal, familial, and dreams, but this depth of category is even more specific and I love it. These are some great suggestions x
These are such great goals and ones I will most certainly be trying to attain.

Great goals Jenny!

I love that you have everything compartmentalized so you can find specific goals. I personally need to focus more on the self-care side of things.
Thank you! Compartmentalizing really helps me!

Hopefully! I’m not getting my hopes up TOO high yet, though!
This is such an excellent list of suggestions! I am saving this list so I can read it again. I really like the one about writing down three personal or professional goals that you accomplished on any given day. We get very excited about setting new goals for ourselves. We should celebrate those stepping stones as we go along. It makes us feel like we are getting someplace…some goals take a while to accomplish. When you write something down, it makes it seem more real; it is also a great reminder of just how far we have come. Dreams take time. Every step we take towards a dream matters. Thank you for this very detailed list…I feel like I got an early Christmas present! 🙂
Thank you for your lovely comment, as always Linda!
I’m with you on the news intake! I’ve deleted all my news apps and read the news once a day and that’s it x
I don’t blame you! Such a great thing to do x
