AD – This is a paid advertorial but all thoughts are my own

I swear Winter 2020/2021 has gone on FOREVER. I mean, can you remember the last time we had a May which was so cold and rainy and miserable? I think it’s safe to say that we’re all pretty pumped to finally see a bit of sun. Especially after the last year and a bit of the pandemic, a bit of sun is a great thing to perk everyone up. It’s also a GREAT excuse to go on some cute dates!

Dating is great all year round, obviously. But in the Summer is can be even better. Longer days. Warm nights. Not having to bundle up in 5 layers. Sounds good to me! Although I’m not single, even my boyfriend and I have been out more and have more plans than we’ve had for a VERY long time, now that the sun is shining!

Go to the beach

Of course this has to be the first thing on my list because we all want to head to a beach when the sun is out! If you’re within distance of a beach, this is a cute date idea. Take blankets and towels, snacks and enough money for ice cream and you’re good for the day!

Have a picnic

If you’re not within distance of a beach but still want to get outside then a picnic could be a MEGA cute date idea for you! I can’t think of anything nicer that a slow, quiet day, lazing around with your date and good food! And some champagne of course…

Go to a theme park

Thrill seeker? Summer is a great time to hit the theme parks! Depending where you are in the UK you might want to consider Alton Towers, Thorpe Park or Chessington World of Adventures.

Go on a road trip

If you have the time, why not make your date and two day long thing? Road trips in the Summer, with the windows down and the music blaring is just a perfect way to spend a sunny weekend. Why not go on a little road trip somewhere?

Do an activity

If you’re a more active pair, then sitting on the beach or picnics might not be your thing. Perhaps instead you could try go-karting, rock climbing, paint balling or another fun outdoor activity to get the adrenaline pumping!

Go to an outdoor cinema screening

I love going to the cinema and a cinema date is usually a pretty common idea. But as it’s the Summer, why not find an OUTDOOR cinema screening, to make the most of the lovely weather!

What date ideas do you like to do in the Summer? Do you prefer a lazy day on the beach or an exciting activity? Let me know!
