How you liking my guest post week so far? Yes? Good! Me too! I have another post for you today from Zara all about how she cleared up her skin after breaking out with the worst acne she’d ever had. Feeling like you can relate? Yep, me too. My skin is awful right now due to hormones so I’ll definitely be taking some advice from Zara’s post.
Good morning everyone! This week on my blog, I will be bringing you a different guest post every day from Monday until Friday from a different blogger as I am away on my holidays this week! I’ll be chug, chug, chugging along on a boat along the Norfolk Broads, without a laptop or much WiFi for that matter so I thought it would be a perfect chance to get some guests on and talk about different topics than what I usually write about. So… let’s kick things off shall we and first up we have a wonderful post from Mairéad, all about her time working in Disney World!
Easter might be over and schedules may be getting back to normal and those “back to reality every day” blues are probably starting to settle in. I’m also confident that whatever your chocolate of choice, you’ve probably indulged on a lot of it over the past 2 weeks and good for you! You deserve to treat yourself! But just because Easter is over, it doesn’t mean you have to restrict yourself and not indulge in some tasty treats every now and again.
For bloggers, and anyone else who owns a website, cyber security is essential. Luckily, many of the ways to keep your blog safe – from web hosting choices to backing up files – are simple and require minimal tech expertise.
When it comes to buying gifts for people, to me, personal is always best. I’d much rather spend extra time, effort and money on something unique and personal for someone I love than just hop on down to the high street and pick up some bits from all your generic stores. There’s nothing wrong with that of course, especially if there’s something they particularly need but that’s not really how I’ve ever done “gift giving”. Earlier this month, I was contacted by the team at Star Name Registry and asked if I wanted to review their product.

Over the course of the last month, I’ve tried really hard to get more involved and be more active in the blogging community, particularly on Twitter. I feel like I’ve succeeded in my mission as I’m making much more of an effort to share posts, chat with bloggers and find new ones to follow. Another thing that I’ve started taking part in are comment threads. For those that don’t know, comment threads are run by certain bloggers / accounts and basically gives everyone taking part the chance to share their new blog posts, discover new blogs and gain some comments on your own as well.
Just to clarify before we get into it, the girl in the photo is me not just some random kid. And look how goddamn cute I was! I came home from a trip away to my boyfriend’s parents house “up norf” and saw this photo sitting in my parents bedroom. First of all, the frame is actually mine so I’m not so happy that my mum stole it but I thought it was cute nevertheless. I was looking at the photo whilst listening to Lea Michele’s version of “Wake Me Up” by Avicii (it’s a beautiful cover, you have to listen!) and all of a sudden I started crying. I know it sounds like I’m making this up but I’m not, genuinely, started to cry. For reals.
You’ve seen the blog posts and you’ve seen the tweets and you’ll know that the blogging world is a very exclusive and complicated place. We all want apart of it and we all try and portray it like it’s the best thing ever. There’s plenty of misconceptions about the blogging world and the bloggers within in and I’m here to put the record straight. Here are some things that bloggers don’t actually tell you…
