Why Traveling the UK Is the Future of Holidays

AD – This is a pre-written post

Many people this summer are swapping a holiday abroad for a staycation and this is for obvious reasons due to the coronavirus pandemic. Many believe that this will actually spark a new trend where people regularly holiday in the UK as opposed to going overseas because there are so many fantastic places to visit and a staycation can bring so many advantages over vacationing abroad.

There’s so much to see

One of the main reasons why a staycation in the UK can be just as enjoyable as one overseas is that there is so much to see and do. Although relatively small, the UK is incredibly diverse with dozens of historic and cultural cities along with an amazing amount of stunning and varied natural beauty so there is something for everyone whether you are looking for a city break, coastal retreat, countryside exploration or a stay in a cozy village.

Travel is easy

It is also incredibly easy to get around the UK and it will be much easier and more affordable than travelling abroad. The train network is particularly good for travel as you can get to practically anywhere by train, particularly if you get the train to London Kings Cross which has many links.

There are no barriers

Another reason that staycations are popular especially with families is that there are no barriers. People speak the same language, eat the same food, have the same local customs and use the same currency so you do not have to worry about these issues which can be a major hurdle when travelling overseas with young children.

It helps stimulate the economy

Having a vacation in your own country is also a great way to boost the economy which is hugely important in worrying economic times like this. There is a good spirit in this country of supporting one another and a staycation is a brilliant way to do this, plus it is likely to be much more affordable than an overseas holiday which is important in a time where people are not spending as much money in the current climate.

These are just a few of the reasons why a staycation could be the future of holidays in the UK. People are likely to see this summer that you can have an amazing time in the UK and there are so many different places to visit, things to see and activities to try throughout and when this is combined with the ease and affordability of staycations it is sure to catch on with many.
