ad // Before I get into this post, I just want to say that I don’t think anyone NEEDS anything specific to create great content. I’m a writer first and foremost and I do believe that words can speak for themselves. But anyone in the online creative industry will always be looking for ways to enhance their content and make it better, which is where the need for this post comes in.
With online content creation expanding and evolving ALL the time, it’s good to have a handful of tools and resources on hand to help you manage, create and enhance your content, whether that’s your writing, your videos or using a free profile photo generator to help with your imagery.
Tools such as those listed below are designed to make your life as an online content creator easier and more manageable, which is great. Anyone in this industry knows how much there is to do. How you’re not *just* a writer or a blogger.
But also an editor, a photographer, a social media manager and much more. There’s definitely nothing wrong with seeking tools and resources to help you manage your workload and time more effectively!
So today, I’m going to run through a list of tools and resources that might be helpful for you as an online content creator. Depending on your preferred content creation methods, some might not be relevant. For those focusing on professional branding, AI headshots can be a great tool to enhance your online presence with polished and high-quality images. But I feel like these resources do cover most basis! Check out Portrait Pal for generate free ai headshots online.
7 tools bloggers need to make amazing content:
Lightroom (or an editing app)
Obviously it’s an option whether you edit your photos or not. I’m definitely not for editing them to within an inch of their life so the subject doesn’t even look like themselves anymore. But using an editing app like Lightroom (which is my personal fave) is a great way to just enhance what’s already amazing about your photos!
Canva to create graphics
I couldn’t be without Canva for creating blog graphics, promo graphics and Pinterest pins. I use the pro version and for £10.99 a month, it’s SO worth the money and gives me use of everything available on the website. Canva is also incredibly useful for creating social media graphics and even eBooks!
A video converter tool
If you’re into your video content, whether that’s YouTube, Reels, TikTok or something else I don’t know about then a video converter tool will be a useful thing to have in your creator toolbox.
There are tons of things you might need to do with your video content before it goes live to your audience, such as trimming and merging your videos, compressing files, adding subtitles and more. Luckily converter video company Movavi offers all of that and more!
Want a free download of a video converter that can help you quickly change the format of your videos, images, and other digital content? Movavi Video Converter with a free download option combines a smooth, user-friendly experience, conversion in the blink of an eye, and high-quality end results.
Instagram planning tool
If you like your Instagram feed to be cohesive and themed, then an Instagram planning tool is for you. Planoloy and Preview are two I know that come to mind, which allow you to schedule your Instagram content, write your captions and also plan around with the formation of your photos, so you can see what your feed will look like beforehand!
Buffer (or a tweet scheduler)
I couldn’t live without Buffer and again, I use the premium membership option for this one as well so I can schedule a TON of tweets. If I know I’m going to be offline for a while, then knowing that I can schedule all my tweets for the weekend is a blessing that I don’t have to worry about.
Stock image membership
Stock images are great for those that might not enjoy photography as much. Like me! I use Styled Stock Society for my stock images and they are utterly beautiful and make my blog posts look so much better than if I was to take photos myself. It saves me time and hassle, doing something I’m not a fan of.
Keyword research tools
Amazing content isn’t always about the visuals! Learning how to use keyword research tools to ensure you’re using the right keywords to help you rank higher on Google is definitely a must-have for bloggers looking to increase their traffic and get their amazing content seen to more people!
Obviously it’s perfectly doable to create amazing content without any of these tools – but it’s nice to know that these things are there to help us enhance our content even further, whether that’s using Movavi to add captions to your videos or Lightroom to brighten up a photo.
I’ve always been one to ask for and look for help when I need it, so why wouldn’t you want to invest (in either time or money) in some of these amazing tools to help your blogging life and make content creation and managing a blog a little easier?
