The last time I whacked out a last-minute post in less than 20 minutes, it actually did really well and that’s what I’ve found myself doing again now. In the shower I was reflecting on my September and how busy, hectic, draining, emotional and happy it’s been all rolled into one. I never, ever do monthly round ups anymore (just solely because I’m lazy and never really do enough in am month to warrant one) but I wanted to for this month because… I dunno, I feel like it was an important month in a lot of ways. So excuse the quickly and poorly written blog post but here’s a quick round up of everything that’s happened in September.
I had my first smear test: I wrote about it in more depth here but this was a huge milestone for me because it’s something I’ve been terrified of for literally years. This was on the 1st of September so I kicked off the month doing something really positive.
It was my birthday: And although I’m not mad about my birthday, I got some lovely presents and went out for the day to Paradise Wildlife Park with my boyfriend (post coming up about that in October!) I turned 25 which felt like a really big deal for me.
Went to visit my boyfriend’s family in Lincoln for a few days: And we went to Donington Museum whilst we were there which we try to do at least twice a year.
I won an amazing giveaway: I won a signed limited edition table made from the wheel rim of one of my favourite F1 team’s car! Along with a bunch of other goodies. I am still shell shocked!
I went on a mini staycation holiday: Super last minute decision by me (which is unusual because I tend to plan things 4 years in advance) but I joined my boyfriends family on their holiday to the Severn Valley Railway which was a new experience for me but I really enjoyed it. Again, a post coming up about that in November.
It was my mum’s birthday: Although I was away on her actual birthday I gave her all her presents when we got back and made her a nice cake, too.
I got my smear test results back: and they weren’t what I was hoping for. More details about this on 11th October but as someone who’s a bit of a worrier about health and medical things, this shook me up a little bit. But it taught me a few things too, like I can deal with it and that I am going to be okay.
I redecorated my room: I’ve been wanting to do this for months and finally got around to it in the last week of September And I wanted to do it without any help from professional decorators. I’m so thrilled to bits with how it’s turned out and I’m planning on doing a post showing you as soon as I have the finishing touches.
I hit 150k page views on my blog: What a bloody big milestone! And I only realised that yesterday evening at 8:30! Woohoo!
I’ve been super motivated with my blog: Probably more so than ever before and I currently have content scheduled until 3/4 of the way through November! I’ve really knuckled down this month, not only with my blog but with work, blog tours, being active on social media and it’s really paid off. I hoe this motivation continues into October.
