Getting my sparkle on with Jewellery Box *

As product reviews go on this blog, I don’t do many “fashion” based ones. I don’t consider myself to be very fashion conscious or very fashionable and I couldn’t tell you if my life depended on it what was “in” right now. I’ve never been one to follow the crowd or really care about what is the “in thing” for this or that season, I’ve always tended to just wear what I like, when I like and that’s that. So, when Jewellery Box contacted me enquiring about a collaboration and the freedom to pick out a couple of pieces of my own choosing from the website, I instantly wanted to work with them.

To pick pieces from such a huge range of things was incredibly hard and took me a good 2 hours after scrolling through pages and pages of jewellery from bracelets to nose studs, personalised to all different types of metal. They have a huge price range too, to fit in with almost every budget and every occasion; cheaper, statement pieces for nights out or more expensive pieces in rose or white gold for fancier occasions. They’re also categorized by recipient or occasion, type of stone and a separate page for all their pieces you can get personalised. They also offer free delivery on over £10 and same day dispatch if ordered before 2pm between Monday and Friday.

So far, I was pretty impressed. On paper, they seem like a pretty prefect company. But what about the actual jewellery?

I had a budget of £45 so I chose 3 pieces. You could quite easily get 6 pieces if you wanted to go for cheaper or just 1 more expensive piece but I decided to go for the middle ground. My first choice was a pair of 9ct White Gold pink crystal studs. These are actually a lot pinker than what the photo shows (I don’t know why my camera did that), the second was a super cute Sterling Silver deer pendant and the final piece was a Sterling Silver Belcher Bracelet with crystals.

I wanted to sample as many different items as possible, which is why I went for earrings, a necklace and a bracelet. I was really surprised at how dainty everything was – but it was a nice surprise. For one, I thought the deer would be a lot bigger but it is so cute, I’m glad it’s not. I don’t mind bigger more statement pieces of jewellery but sometimes smaller and more dainty pieces are better for every day wear. I definitely need to up my everyday jewellery game and cute and colourful pieces such as the earrings and the bracelet – like this Turquoise Sunburst Adjustable Bracelet – are a great way to do that especially as they could be quite easily worn together.

My favourite piece of them all has to be the necklace – it instantly reminded me of Bambi, which is really the reason why I chose it because as you know, I love Disney. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality and the appearance of all the pieces I chose. Only one small niggle I would have is the butterfly clips on the earrings were very stiff and one of them actually broke after a few wears. They were extremely dainty thought, so it could have quite easily been down to me being too heavy-handed with them. But if you’re a girl with your ears pierced multiple times like me, I’m sure you understand that I have hundreds of spare butterfly clips laying around!

So that’s my recent sparkly haul from Jewellery Box! What’s your favourite from those above? What’s your favourite item of jewellery you own?
