I’m about to present to you the most overused and generic sentence in blogging history. When Jenems contacted me and asked if I wanted to work with them, I jumped at the chance. But this really was the case here because they weren’t just sending me any ol’ jewellery… oh no. I was going to receive some pieces from their brand new Autumn range and if you know me at all, you’ll know that I am down for all things Autumn. Basic Autumn bitch right here.
I am a very British person. And being a very British person, you can take an educated guess that I love tea. Honestly, is there anything better than spending the time to make yourself a perfect cup of tea – knowing that it’s for you and only you. Getting yourself some biscuits to dunk and settling into your favourite chair or your bed, putting on your favourite film or YouTuber and relishing in the fact that this is all for you. Tea is a marvellous thing and although that sounded a bit OTT, that’s genuinely how I feel sometimes when I make myself a cup of tea!
Now you know that I’m not a beauty blogger. I may not be able to do make-up very well or know all the latest trends but… I do wash my hair. And I do use body lotion after a shower occasionally. So luckily today, I’m reviewing those very things! I was very kindly sent some products from Urtekram‘s new Nordic Berries range of products. All of which are packed full of vitamins and antioxidants from traditional Nordic berries like sea buckthorn, blueberries, cranberries and more. The brand are also organic cruelty free and vegan!
I’m just going to put it out there… Bloggers love stationery. Specifically, notebooks. I challenge you to try and find a blogger who isn’t even the tiniest bit in love with notebooks of all different shapes and sizes for all different purposes. I definitely fall into that category and whilst I’ve always loved stationery and even in school I always loved to keep my notebooks in perfect condition and whenever something when slightly wrong; my writing wasn’t neat enough or the pen colour didn’t match it made me ever so sad, I think since blogging, I’ve become even more of a notebook addict. I recently wrote about my blogging essentials where I specifically mention that I couldn’t survive without my various notebooks.
Ever since I was diagnosed with anxiety, I’ve been really into yoga. I decided to give it a try as I heard it was calming and that I would benefit from the mindfulness, breathing and meditation techniques taught within in. Now, if I can, I try and practice yoga every single day; even if it’s just 20 minutes or so. I find that it just improves my day and makes me feel healthier and happier, regardless of what else is going on around me.
I love cake. I mean, who doesn’t? Cake is the best. You know what’s even cooler than simply a cake? A cake that comes straight through your letterbox! I wasn’t convinced anyone could create a product so perfect that you could literally get cake delivered to your door and you wouldn’t have to get up out of bed to receive it. How wrong was I? Baker Days offer just that; the infamous letterbox cake. And it literally is what it says on the tin. And what’s in the tin is oh so yummy…
As product reviews go on this blog, I don’t do many “fashion” based ones. I don’t consider myself to be very fashion conscious or very fashionable and I couldn’t tell you if my life depended on it what was “in” right now. I’ve never been one to follow the crowd or really care about what is the “in thing” for this or that season, I’ve always tended to just wear what I like, when I like and that’s that. So, when Jewellery Box contacted me enquiring about a collaboration and the freedom to pick out a couple of pieces of my own choosing from the website, I instantly wanted to work with them.
Easter might be over and schedules may be getting back to normal and those “back to reality every day” blues are probably starting to settle in. I’m also confident that whatever your chocolate of choice, you’ve probably indulged on a lot of it over the past 2 weeks and good for you! You deserve to treat yourself! But just because Easter is over, it doesn’t mean you have to restrict yourself and not indulge in some tasty treats every now and again.
When it comes to buying gifts for people, to me, personal is always best. I’d much rather spend extra time, effort and money on something unique and personal for someone I love than just hop on down to the high street and pick up some bits from all your generic stores. There’s nothing wrong with that of course, especially if there’s something they particularly need but that’s not really how I’ve ever done “gift giving”. Earlier this month, I was contacted by the team at Star Name Registry and asked if I wanted to review their product.
If there’s one thing that I loved when I was younger, especially in school and probably one thing that I spent far too much pocket money on, is stickers. Oh stickers. How I used to love decorating my school books, notebooks even my wardrobe with stickers of dogs cats, ice creams, smiley faces, bees and an array of everything in-between. I think stickers are very nostalgic and our first foray into creativity as youngsters. But now, at the age of 24 and part of the blogging community, I can see that stickers are very much still a “thing” for us oldens and most good stationery brands will stock them in a huge range of designs!
