There’s two things that you should already know about me. 1) I love Disney. I love Disney with all my heart. I’ve grown up with Disney, I have a Disney related blog name, a Disney tattoo and I never listen to regular music – just Disney songs (okay that’s a white lie but I do listen to a lot of Disney songs on a day-to-day basis). And 2) I love books. Books remain my one true love. Books brought me out of a dark place and books led me to start my blog which has brought me so much since; friends, creative freedom, self-employment and amazing opportunities to work with some wonderful brands. Like The Book People, who I’m lucky enough to work with today.

So knowing what you know about me now, that I love books and Disney, you can imagine my surprise when The Book People contacted me about a collaboration on some of their Disney books. My two loves rolled into one! So before we get into the books, a huge thank you to The Book People for allowing me to choose a whole bunch of books, including these 5 sets of Disney books as well as 3 others of my own choice (which I may also blog about at a later date – if you’re into spiritualism, minimalism and self-care then look out for that!)

The Book People have a range of Disney books which yes, mostly are for kids but they’re for kids of huge age ranges and they definitely have books which appeal to the Disney crazed adults among us too. From the range I had, I chose these 5 which I think cover a wide basis of ages and interests. Here’s what I chose and what I thought of each!

My first choice was quite easy and I chose this gorgeous Classic Collection of Winnie the Pooh tales, in a stunning box set with original illustrations. These books really are stunning, I love the bright covers and the pictures throughout the stories. If you’re a Pooh fan like me, these would make a lovely addition to your Disney collection and I’m sure we’re all a bit buzzed about Winnie the Pooh at the moment due to the new Christopher Robin film!

My next set was the Disney Princess collection, as pictured above. Clearly these are aimed at younger children, with 8 or so lines on each page and lots of gorgeous photos too. I particularly loved the glitter on the covers, for example of Rapunzel’s dress! These are really lovely books for the little Princess in your life and I actually gifted these to my cousin, who’s just older than 2. I figured she’ll love the photos and then be able to read the actual books when she’s a bit older!

My next choice was one that I’m really keen to read myself, which is The Strength of the Wolf is the Pack which is the story of The Jungle Book as based on the new movie, which you can see on the cover. I discussed Disney re-makes a bit earlier in the year and mentioned how much I loved the new The Jungle Book so I’m really excited to read it as a novel as well!

If you have a Disney / Pixar loving little one in your household then this Pixar: Big Book of Fun needs to be on your Christmas list for them this year! This book is huge and it’s packed of little stories, stickers, colouring and drawing pages and more. With your favourite Pixar films and characters like Toy Story, Monsters Inc. and Lightening McQueen gracing every page, this book will provide hours of fun and entertainment!

And finally… I decided to geek-out completely and I chose this Star Wars: The Last Jedi Visual Dictionary which includes photos and descriptions of basically the entire film from characters, droids, planets and weapons. This would be a perfect Christmas present for Star Wars fanatics! And speaking of Christmas…

You could win yourself your own bundle of the Disney books I picked, just in time for Christmas! To enter the giveaway, head on over to the RAFFLECOPTER PAGE to gain your entries! The more items you complete, the more entries you receive! Good luck!

  4. THE BOOK PEOPLE!!!

I swear, my favourite day of any school year was when The Book People would arrive. I could see them turn up from my classroom, and from that moment on, I wouldn’t be able to concentrate. I was counting down the minutes until I could go and look at all the books, and make lists of all the ones I wanted. I sometime would tell the teacher I had a headache, just so I could ‘go to medical’ aka… take a slow walk through the hall and watch them set up, seeing if I could eye any titles I was familiar with.

    Honestly, nothing compares.

I wish The Book People should come to places of work and do the same for adults!
