There’s two things that you should already know about me. 1) I love Disney. I love Disney with all my heart. I’ve grown up with Disney, I have a Disney related blog name, a Disney tattoo and I never listen to regular music – just Disney songs (okay that’s a white lie but I do listen to a lot of Disney songs on a day-to-day basis). And 2) I love books. Books remain my one true love. Books brought me out of a dark place and books led me to start my blog which has brought me so much since; friends, creative freedom, self-employment and amazing opportunities to work with some wonderful brands. Like The Book People, who I’m lucky enough to work with today.
Want to make healthier choices this summer? The aim of National Allotment Week this year (which begins on Monday 13th August) is to encourage more people to grow their own fruit and veg. Growing your own is one of the best and most rewarding ways to kick start a healthier lifestyle – and it’s also much easier than you may think!
I’m sure most of us are familiar with the feeling of getting back from holiday, checking out bank account and having to do a double or triple take at the figure in front of our eyes. I visited The Lake District back in 2015 and splashed away hundreds and hundreds of pounds on top of the price of the cottage and found myself frantically ringing my Mum one day when we were out exploring because neither of us had our bank cards and I looked in my purse and had no money for petrol! It was either embarrassingly ring my Mum and ask her to save me or be stranded in the middle of The Lake District. I can handle a bit of embarrassment!
Watches can be a real statement piece of jewelry and fashion and I believe that everyone should own a really nice watch at least once in their life. I’ve been through my fair share; nothing expensive or fancy by certainly watches that highlighted my style at the time (which was Grunger chic – 16 year-old me was cool bro). My last watch was a brown leather strap with a pirates map in the face and although I bloody loved that watch, it’s safe to say I’ve come a long way since then. And don’t really partake in pirate fashion anymore.
