I don’t wear much of it but I love jewellery and when I find a piece I like, I rarely take it off. I’ve recently had a bit of a trauma with a necklace that I’ve worn 24/7 for the last few years, getting in a knot and having to be cut off. It was such a shame because it was my favourite and meant a lot to me so R.I.P necklace but this means that I’m in the market for a new one and I want to make sure I choose wisely! I think necklaces of all shapes and sizes can look lovely and really make an outfit or be totally understated (like mine was) that it blends into you as a person and it just becomes a part of you! I’ve luckily worked with jewellerybox before on my blog so I know I love their jewellery so here are some of my current necklace faves from their site!
This is always one of my most looked forward to blog posts of the entire year, really. Despite the fact that I’m not a massive Christmas lover – I mean, it’s nice but I wouldn’t say it’s my favourite time of the year – I always love giving presents and I always greatly appreciate the gifts I receive in return. I like to showcase them on my blog, just to show that little bit of extra thanks. I know a lot of people don’t enjoy these posts and that’s all gravy baby, no offence taken here. But if you are one of the nosy sods (like me) who love seeing what other people got for Crimbo then keep reading! Enjoy.
I’m about to present to you the most overused and generic sentence in blogging history. When Jenems contacted me and asked if I wanted to work with them, I jumped at the chance. But this really was the case here because they weren’t just sending me any ol’ jewellery… oh no. I was going to receive some pieces from their brand new Autumn range and if you know me at all, you’ll know that I am down for all things Autumn. Basic Autumn bitch right here.
Despite the fact I might not like my birthday very much and that 25 seems to be this big ol’ daunting year for me, I do love a birthday gift haul. I love reading them myself because I’m nosy and love to see why other people got for the birthdays and the kinda stuff they like. I also love writing them myself and taking photos of my presents as it gives me a chance to reflect and be grateful all over again for the gifts I received for my birthday. So here’s my 25th birthday gift haul!
I’ll start with a selection of gifts which I actually asked for. Despite being 25 now, my mum still goes “all-out” on my birthday even though I tell her not to spend a lot of money on me. So this year I had in mind a few items which I really wanted that I knew she could get me which wouldn’t break the bank. (Also, sorry about the not-too-brilliant photos, I still haven’t got the hang of this picture taking lark).
As product reviews go on this blog, I don’t do many “fashion” based ones. I don’t consider myself to be very fashion conscious or very fashionable and I couldn’t tell you if my life depended on it what was “in” right now. I’ve never been one to follow the crowd or really care about what is the “in thing” for this or that season, I’ve always tended to just wear what I like, when I like and that’s that. So, when Jewellery Box contacted me enquiring about a collaboration and the freedom to pick out a couple of pieces of my own choosing from the website, I instantly wanted to work with them.
I came across House of Wonderland courtesy of The Girl Gang and was given the opportunity to try one of their Jewellery Club boxes – which I was super excited about given that all their products are super cute and quirky. I mean, just look at their stuff! So I’ll be talking about what was in this glorious little mystery box in today’s post.
If you’re a blogger, there’s probably a 99.9% chance that you’ve heard of Prairie Charms – a small, handmade accessories and gifts company that sell the cutest jewellery, nail and hair bits and lots of other adorbs gifts. I signed up for their Christmas Campaign, where by for just £5, you receive 4 of their products. I received mine last week and am so thrilled with everything from the products to the customer service so here’s a wee little post about what goodies I got and why I’d recommend Prairie Charms!
