The Best Things To Come From the Pandemic

AD – This post contains gifted items but all thoughts are my own

As of yesterday, non-essential shops here in the UK were re-opened again. The next step in our blueprint to life after COVID. So I thought this would be a good time to talk about, well, the good times. The pandemic has been tough on all of us to some degree but focusing on the positives is always so important.

It’s vital that we reflect on this last year in a healthy way. Because when we really think about the magnitude of 2020 (and the start of 2021), it can be very easy to spiral with our thoughts. Luckily for me, gratitude has always been a very natural thing.

Working on gratitude has been an absolute game changer for me in how I live my life, how I experience life and how I manifest what I want. Gratitude is one of my core values. And one of the most powerful tools we have in our back pocket.

And yes, there will even be moments of gratitude within a pandemic.

And the amazing thing is, even the smallest things can make the world of difference. Whether it’s a friend who dropped a meal on your doorstop when you were ill with COVID or the delivery driver for delivering your groceries on time.

So today I want to boost that power of gratitude and talk about some of the best things that have come from the pandemic for me.

I feel closer to my boyfriend

Starting with a bit of a sappy one but kinda just getting it out of the way (because I am not a sappy person) but I really do feel closer to my boyfriend than I’ve done in a while. He’s been on furlough since the beginning and I’ve been working from home. So although we have been in each others space quite a bit (especially before my office was built) I think it’s been amazing for us!

I love my job more than I’ve ever done before

Honestly, I am SO BLOODY GRATEFUL for the job that I do. I love it more than ever. This pandemic has obviously not changed my working arrangement as I’m a full-time blogger. At the beginning, things got mega quiet for a month, which was to be expected. I also took a week off in March 2020 because things were a bit overwhelming then.

But since October 2020, my blog has grown so much and I’ve really started to fall so effortlessly into alignment with what I want to do and what I want my blog to be. I’ve left behind things I wasn’t passionate about (like affiliate marketing) and I’ve honed in on what I am (like working with brands).

Speak of which, I want to take this moment to mention Muru, who kindly gifted me a couple of beautiful pieces to feature in a blog post. You should know I’m a huge fan of jewellery by now and the Muru pieces were right up my street!

First I picked these simple but gorgeous gold hoops. I didn’t own gold hoops beforehand and I could tell they were missing from my collection. These aren’t too dainty but they’re really classy and could easily be dressed up or down.

The second piece I picked was this necklace which won’t come as a surprise if you know my love for The Law of Attraction and using the Universe to attract abundance. This beautiful ancient coin was a charm for attracting wealth and it has been loving crafted into this beautiful pendant which looks great on it’s own or layered with other pieces.

Muru was born out of their love of travel, discovering new cultures, encapsulating memories. Each tactile creation is lovingly crafted in sterling silver or 18ct gold vermeil. If you’re after something new for your collection – or a gift for a loved one – I’d highly recommend checking out Muru.

So yeah, my job. It truly has got me through the pandemic. I love what I do and I’m so excited for the future of Jenny in Neverland and some new projects and things I have in mind to work on. Watch this space.

Working with two incredible coaches

I swear I have not stopped talking about my coaching experience for months but you know what, that just shows how much of a powerful impact it’s had on me. My experience started in August 2020, when I saw someone was looking for BETA testers of their new group coaching programme.

She had put out a form on a bloggers opportunity Facebook group I’m in, which I filled in and was later accepted into. I don’t know how but I KNEW I was going to get one of the two places on that programme.

I loved that programme so much that I continued to work with this coach on her 1:1 programme after and I invested a lot of time and money into doing so. But it was worth every second and every penny and I aim to continue working with her later in the year.

After that, I also jumped on a group programme with Victoria from The Manifestation Collective who is one of my biggest inspirations. I have learned so much from these two women and everything fell perfectly in alignment for me to take these courses.

My garden office

Something else I haven’t stopped talking about and for good reason! During the pandemic, I had my garden office built and it really is the most beautiful space I could have dreamed of. I post a lot of photos in my office on my Instagram, if you ever want a nose!

I’ve posted a lot of content around my garden office, the interior and the actual built, if you want to know more:

Seeing small businesses blossom

And some of the best things to come from the pandemic aren’t even anything to do with me! I have absolutely loved seeing small businesses thrive and blossom within this climate. One of my favourites is Bear’s Brownies and More from my online pal Tiffany, who I’ve ordered from a couple of times over the pandemic and her brownies always put a HUGE smile on my face!

What has been some of the best things to come from the pandemic for you? I’d love to hear them!
