I’m just going to put it out there… Bloggers love stationery. Specifically, notebooks. I challenge you to try and find a blogger who isn’t even the tiniest bit in love with notebooks of all different shapes and sizes for all different purposes. I definitely fall into that category and whilst I’ve always loved stationery and even in school I always loved to keep my notebooks in perfect condition and whenever something when slightly wrong; my writing wasn’t neat enough or the pen colour didn’t match it made me ever so sad, I think since blogging, I’ve become even more of a notebook addict. I recently wrote about my blogging essentials where I specifically mention that I couldn’t survive without my various notebooks.
I was asked if I wanted to review a notebook the other week. So obviously I said yes. Stationery? MORE stationery? Gimmie, gimmie, gimmie! But these were pocket notebooks, of which I have none. My writing is quite big and I tend to write a lot so I’ve never really looking into getting a pocket sized notebook for myself. But I’ve never had a reason to have one before. I received the Rhodiarama A6 notebook from Pocket Notebooks, an online store that sells… you guessed it, stationery and notebooks. They sell a huge variety of different brands from all over the world. The Rhodia notebook I received was actually founded in France.
The notebook is the perfect handbag size and with carrying a fairly decent sized handbag, this would never take up too much room or weight. I decided to use this as a blogging notebook as I would love to get into writing a bit more, jotting down ideas with a pen and paper rather than writing it down on my phone. It’s much more authentic and I wonder whether it will impact my creativity side of blogging. Who knows. But it’s worth a try. And this is a great way to start.
I love the colour of this notebook too – I expected it to be black for some reason so I was super surprised but thrilled to see it was a gorgeous bluey turquoise colour and the inside were zebra print! Another really nice touch was this little “pocket” at the back where you could store receipts or loose bits of paper that you don’t want to lose. That’s very nice, very nice indeed. The quality of the notebook as well is fantastic; the cover is strong and the pages inside are thick and not flimsy whatsoever. If you’re after a high quality decent sized with plenty of pages notebook, I would highly recommend this one. At £7.50, it’s not expensive and definitely worth the money in my opinion. To pop in your handbag for blogging purposes, groceries lists, daily reminders – this would be perfect.
