ad | Budgeting, saving money and being smart with your finances is arguably more important now than ever. With the cost of living increase without the wage increase to match for many, it’s no wonder we’re all trying to find more ways to save money and make the cost of living a bit easier on our bank accounts.

Sometimes we need extra help managing our money; whether that’s advice from a friend, a financial advisor or various tools to help us keep track of our spending more effectively. Apps are a great thing to consider if you do want that additional support and there’s one fantastic app you should consider trying if you’re looking to make changes and budget more effectively.
Introducing the Koody App
The Koody app is designed to help you budget, save, learn, invest and more. It’s not just a budgeting app, it has many different components, which can allow for you to have a complete overhaul of your finances. You can manage all your finances in one place without connecting to a bank account – which is ideal if you prefer to do things manually. Koody is also:
- Free to download (or just £1 a month / £10 a year for the pro version)
- Available on iPhone and Android
- Has a user-friendly interface
- Safe to use, as there’s no connection with your bank
- And is much more than just a budgeting app!
Koody seems like a much more personal tool than other budgeting apps I’ve tried and there’s so much to it to dive in to and explore. Let’s look at some of the key features of what you can expect with the Koody app:

Categories
There is an extensive amount of categories in which you can budget for on this app. Everything from rent / mortgage, beauty and well-being, eating out, entertainment, gifts, charity donations and more, it really does cover more or less everything you’ll be spending in any given month.
For each category, you can then go into it and set your own personal monthly limit. And if you don’t use a category, for example, if you don’t eat out, the you simply don’t have to set a budget for that particular category. It’s super straight-forward, which I love about apps like this. Anything too confusing and it makes me want to give up using it.
Receipt upload
Under the expenses tab, it allows you to upload receipts if you wish, adding them to the relevant category for an even more in-depth tracking of your monthly spendings. Of course you don’t have to do this but it’s a nice extra to have in case.
Calculators
There are lots of calculators to explore on the app too, including:
- Personal loan calculator
- Mortgage calculator
- Emergency fund calculator
- ISA calculator
Education
Under the discover tab, you’ll find a range of incredibly helpful tools, articles and blog posts on everything finance. They offer advice for the beginners as well as those more seasoned in financial ventures on topics such as:
- Pensions
- Investing
- Saving
- Cryptocurrency
And more. Helping you become more educated about your finances so you’re in a better position to make healthier financial decisions going forward.
Investing
Want to learn more about investing? Koody has you covered! With plenty of articles and advice on how to invest, the best investing apps, investing for beginners and more, there’s a ton of helpful posts to teach you about investing from a very beginner level.

If you’re in need of a new app to help track your spending and budget more effectively, Koody is an excellent option. With it being free, there’s no risk – you can try it and see if it works for you.

Wow, the Koody app sounds like a game-changer for managing finances! I love that it covers so many categories and even offers receipt uploads for detailed tracking. Plus, the educational resources and investment tips are a nice touch! xx

There’s so much detail you can go into with your own finances on this app, it’s fab!
Wow, Koody sounds like such a great app. I already use a “spending tracker” to keep track of my spending habits, but the features are fairly basic. This might be the perfect alternative. I’ll definitely check it out!
