When most people think of Dubai, they probably think about luxury skyscraper hotels where they can be pampered by attentive staff, sandy beaches where they can relax and catch some sun and expensive shopping malls where they can pick up all kinds of designer goods, and although that stuff is a big part of the Dubai experience for many, there is much more to the United Arab Emirates’ biggest and best city.

If you didn’t already know, Blokarting, is basically a cross between go-karting and windsurfing. BloKarts have no engine, but they can reach speeds of up to 30 Kph when conditions are right, malign them one of the best ways to explore the deserts of Dubai.

Start Sandboarding

The dunes of Dubai are truly a sight to behold, but it’s easy to get bored there is you haven’t planned any activities., That’s where sandboarding comes in. Those –pretty, but dull dunes will become your playground as your ide your board down steep slopes at massive speeds until you’re completely exhausted.

Skydiving

There are lots of places where you can go skydiving, but Dubai is undoubtedly one of the best, due to the amazing skyline of the city and the scarcity of the desert. Your adrenaline will be pumping, and you’ll be completely blown away by the view as you plummet 4000 kilometres above Palm Jumeirah with SkyDive Dubai’s professionals by your side.

‘Mock Skydiving’

If really jumping out of a moving plane from a great height just isn’t for you. Then fear not because you can still enjoy the unique experience of free falling with a visit to iFly – an indoor wind tunnel which will recreate the experience of skydiving with all the fun and none of the danger.

Snowboarding

You probably don’t think of Dubai as being a good place to go skiing, but if you want to experience a little bit of the Swiss Alps in the desert, Ski Dubai’s unique ski slope is the closest you’re going to get, and there are plenty of rails, boxes and jumps to keep you busy whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro.

Have you been to Dubai? What activities did you enjoy there?
