ad | I know, we’re all thinking the same thing. When will this rain stop? And when are we finally going to see some decent Spring sunshine in the UK? It’s safe to say, the weather this year so far has not been the one but despite how drizzly and grey it is outside (cries internally), I don’t think that should stop us celebrating and embracing the new seasons when they arrive – even if they don’t quite look like how we’d hoped at this point! And it’s the best season next – Spring! So it’s time for that Spring reset to get our Spring juices flowing.

I really like to lean in to the seasons and even use the seasons for self care sometimes. In Winter, I tend to stay at home more, get quieter and more insular. When Autumn rolls around, it’s all about cosiness and warmth and expressing gratitude.
The seasons are always with us. They are one of the biggest constants in our lives. And we can learn a lot from them – and from nature in general.
And Spring? Ah, Spring. It’s the time of year that always inspires creativity, new ideas, a fresh outlook. The time we can finally get outside more and make more plans. That time of year that always brings with it a sense of freshness and newness.
And of course tulips, Easter Eggs and baby animals. Eeeek.
I love this time of year and I also love have a bit of a Spring reset as well. Just those small things we can do in our daily lives that signal to us that it’s a new season, with new hopes, dreams and goals.
So in this post, which has been sponsored by British Boxers, we’re going to look at some super simple ways to have a Spring reset which will ultimately help you celebrate and embrace the start of this beautiful new season!
The Spring Reset: 17 Ways To Embrace the Start of Spring

Buy yourself some fresh flowers
Don’t wait for someone else to buy you flowers – buy some for yourself, you deserve it! It’s also the perfect way to inject a bit of Spring into your home. Pop them in the hallway or on the dining room table, somewhere you can always see them and allow the bright colours to brighten your day.
De-clutter one thing in your home
The prospect of Spring cleaning an entire house is daunting. If we looked at it like that, we’d never start because we’d be too overwhelmed. But starting with one small aspect of your home is a great idea. You’ll find once you’ve done one room, one drawer, one cupboard, you’ll want to continue and do another!
There are so many positive reasons why you should remove clutter from your life. And Spring is the best time to do it!
Start to notice the flowers
When you’re out and about on a walk, start making a conscious effort to notice the flowers coming into bloom. Whether it’s by your front door when you leave for work in the morning or on the roadside – Spring is springing up all around us, make sure you’re present enough to notice!
Buy some cute new Spring PJ’s
You could spruce up your entire night time routine in preparation for Spring if you wanted to but if you’re looking for some small thing to change, then getting some super cute new Spring PJ’s is the one.
We often get PJ’s specifically for Christmas – why not for Spring too?
Opt for something made from cooling cottons and in baby Spring-like colours, like these gorgeous Brushed Cotton Westwood PJ’s from British Boxers. They come in 2 beautiful pastel colours but this pink is SUCH a bit of me!
If you’re after ultimate bed time comfort this Spring, then these should be at the top of your wish list. The process in which these PJ’s are made makes them incredibly soft. They just feel so luxurious to the touch.
British Boxers have the most amazing range of high quality nightwear, including pyjamas, night dresses, robes and underwear for men, women and children. And if you don’t need a new pair yourself? They would also make the perfect gift for Mother’s Day!
Have a closet refresh
This is a hard one when you’re living in the UK. We never know when the skies are going to open up or if its going to randomly start snowing again. But you can always start having a closest refresh as part of your Spring reset and make room for more beautiful, light and bright Spring clothes and put your chunky knits away for another season.
Set some goals, intentions or plans for the season
I love a little goal and intention setting moment! Obviously the New Year is the most obvious time to set goals but I think we’re all starting to learn that really, the new year starts in Spring. So now is the PERFECT time to sit down and flesh out your goals, intentions and plans for this upcoming season.
Get (or make) a Spring wreath for your door
I love seasonal wreaths and this is something I really need to do as my last one got a bit worse for wear (it was super cute though – it had little Easter Eggs on it!) Maybe find a cute wreath making class and make an occasion of it with a friend?
Meal plan with seasonal food
Using seasonal ingredients in your cooking is a great way to embrace a new season and actually move through the year in line with the seasons, rather than against them. This guide to seasonal food from the National Trust is a great resource for highlighting the foods in season each month of the year.
Bake something with refreshing Spring flavours
When Spring rolls around, I always find I want more refreshing flavours. Fruits, coconut, honey, lemon as opposed to typically Wintery treats like sticky toffee or chocolate. Bake something with Spring flavours in mind – like these cherry and coconut cupcakes!
Switch up your bedding
If you’re able to, now is a great time to invest in some new Spring themed bedding for your Spring reset! If you can’t, get yours in the wash and hanging out the dry so you can bring that beautiful fresh sheet smell in with you!
Book an afternoon tea
Is there anything more Spring-like than an afternoon tea? I think not. Whether it’s a treat for Mother’s Day or just a catch up with a friend, get that afternoon tea in the calendar.
Create a Spring tablescape
Although I don’t actually do seasonal tablescapes myself at home (apart from at Christmas), I do love them and love looking on Pinterest for beautiful tablescapes and then getting jealous. Grab some inspiration and set up a beautiful Spring tablescape!
Visit the local garden centre
Garden centres are brilliant. I love a garden centre and I’m lucky to have a fair few really good ones near me where I live. I love a mooch around followed by a coffee and a cake. Spend the morning at your local, grab some Spring plants, maybe a couple of cute homeware pieces and enjoy a coffee afterwards.
Purchase some fresh scented candles
I think candles are such an easy way to embrace the seasons. For Spring, it’s all about the fresh scents and the floral scents.
Try a new outdoor sport or hobby
Now the weather is (hopefully) getting a bit warmer and a bit drier, now is the perfect time to try a new outdoor hobby. Our bodies are screaming at us for a bit of Vitamin D! You could get back on your bike, start running, go and play Padel or take up gardening.
Get your nails done in Spring colours
I love getting my pastel french tips done in the Spring and it’s one of my favourite set of nails throughout the entire year because they’re just so cute and pretty and make me super happy!
Plan an outdoorsy day with a friend
We can finally start doing outdoorsy things again so this is a great time to embrace Spring and get some outdoor activities booked with your mates. Maybe a hike or a long walk, a day trip to the zoo or even something like cold water swimming if you’re brave!

Excellent post! I especially like your decluttering tip!
I’m certainly embracing the lighter evenings and trying to get out more for walks/runs and doing my garden planting….it feels like it’s been raining forever 🤣
