Having a blog is great. Creative freedom? Tick. A way to express yourself and talk about things you love? Tick. An opportunity to meet like-minded people? Triple tick. For a lot of bloggers, writing posts and taking / editing the photos is the easy part. Heck, even making sure you take the time to ensure that your post is SEO friendly can be fairly straight forward once you get into the swing of it. It’s what comes next that I’ve heard some people struggle with and I know I did when I started blogging – I wouldn’t know where to start with sharing my blog posts, let alone effectively sharing my blog posts.
Is there ever enough support for other bloggers you love? No, I don’t think so. However I know for a fact that I could do better with telling the bloggers I love to read how much I like their content. Being told you’re someones favourite blogger is one of the nicest things to hear and makes all the hard work you put in totally worth it. A nice comment about your post, your blog, your photography – anything – can completely brighten your day so I firmly believe that we all could (including me!) do more of that! So to make up for my lack of it, I’m doing a little post to show you which bloggers I’ve been loving recently!
We all want to be the very best like no one ever was (please tell me in the comments if you know where this line is from) and it’s super difficult to do that in blogging when there’s tens of thousands of other bloggers around you all trying to be the best too. But in order to be a good blogger, you need to follow the rules and stick to the guidelines. Here is a small list of things that will turn you from an ‘alright’ blogger to a bloody good one!
Let’s face it, we all do it. And not just with blogs – with everything. It’s in our nature to compare, compare, compare (yes I read that in the ‘Go Compare’ voice) but comparing your blog constantly with other people’s can seriously weigh you down. I’ve been there and it sucks.
