There is still time to sneak in a last-minute summer break before autumn rolls around. And there is no better place to escape to than the French capital. There are lots of things to love about Paris but here are some of my favourites.
The Louvre
Lots of people think that The Louvre is one of the best museums in the world, and there really is no wonder why that is when you look at all of its great artworks and artefacts. You’ll be able to see the Venus de Milo, the Mona Lisa, and lots of real Egyptian mummies. Even if you don’t get inside, the building of The Louvre is pretty impressive!
The Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower has to be one of the most famous structures in the world. You can either pose in front of it for some fun photos for Instagram or make your way to the very top. It’s worth going to the top of the tower so that you can see some breath-taking views of this beautiful neighbourhood. This area features some of the most sought-after property for sale in France, so you’ll be able to get a glimpse of one of Paris’s poshest areas from the sky! On your way down, stop off for a glass of bubbly in the champagne bar.
Euro Disney
If you love the thrill of roller coasters, take a day trip out of the city to Euro Disney. You will be able to rub shoulders with all your favourite Disney characters and get to see some very cute film sets and studios! If you are feeling extra brave, take a ride on Big Thunder Mountain. Not feeling overly adventurous? Then you could take a genteel trip on the ‘It’s A Small World’ ride.
Visit A Boulangerie
Once you arrive in Paris, you will notice that there are a lot of bakeries! These are called boulangeries and it’s in these bakeries where you’ll find some delicious croissants, baguettes, and other tasty French specialities. If you are ever out of ideas for lunch, it’s always worth popping into the nearest boulangerie. Yum!
Buy A Book From Shakespeare & Co.
Shakespeare & Co is a famous bookshop that has been popular with Paris’s bohemian residents for over six decades. There’s a huge selection of books for bookworms to browse, and film fans will also be able to spot a few parts of the shop that have been used as film sets!
Go Up The Arc De Triomphe
Lots of people already know that the Arc De Triomphe is one of Paris’s most famous sights, but were you aware that you can climb up it? There are 284 steps between the bottom and the top, but getting there is certainly worth it. You’ll be met with some stunning city vistas!
These are just a few ideas of what you can do in pretty Paris. There is, of course, so much more for you to explore and discover! Do you have any other suggestions? Let me know in the comments below!
[…] Pamukkale is situated just a little north of the city of Denizli; it is another cultural experience showing off the history and culture of the country. Back in the day, the waters were used for hydrotherapy in many religious and cult practices. But since it became a World Heritage Site, bathing or walking into the cascading waters is no longer permitted. However, you can still enjoy the beauty of it all. Hierapolis is also worth a visit as it is just adjacent to the waterfalls, and also has World Heritage Status. It is an ancient city that has been pretty well preserved and is just fascinating to wander around and explore. […]
Got back from Paris last night, one of my favourite places. Went to see The Lido which was amazing. Ate too many crepes, drank too many aperol spritz but came back relaxed & refreshed xx
I love Paris. Its my favourite place in the whole world. I had no idea you could climb the Arc de Triomphe!! Next time I am there I will have to do this. I love the cafe culture. Relaxing with a drink sat outside a chic cafe and people watching x
