As one gift guide occasion ends, another begins. And straight off the back of Valentine’s Day, we’re already jumping into Mother’s Day which personally, is one of my favourite occasions throughout the year, as I love treating my Mum. She’s done a lot for me over the years. Cheers, Mum. I also find Mother’s Day one of the easier occasions to buy for.

You’re really not limited on what you can buy for Mother’s Day. So for this gift guide, I’ll be sharing a range of VERY different types of gifts, for very different types of Mum’s. Because every Mum (or Mother figure) is different… and that’s what makes them so special!

For the fragrance obsessed Mum: Mojito Cocktail Scented Candle – Prezzybox £11.99

I don’t know about anyone else’s Mum but mine LOVES a candle. I mean… LOVES a candle. Is that a thing that happens when you become a Mum? You give birth then suddenly the two things you most love in the world is your child and candles? Well, for that reason, I had to include some sort of smelly in this guide. The Mojito Scented Candle from Prezzybox would make the perfect Mother’s Day stocking filler!

For the early rising Mum: Gingko Edge Light Alarm Clock – Prezzybox £34.95

I love practical gifts. And always try and buy my loved ones at least one practical gift that I KNOW they’re going to use and get use out of for any occasion. If you have an early riser for a Mum (or heck, are an early riser yourself) this chic little Gingko Edge Light Alarm Clock – which doubles up as a lamp and has a dimmable soft screen light, so you can nicely see the time at night when needed whilst not disturbing your sleep – is a really handy little gift!

For the self care fanatic Mum: Personalised Soothing Hand and Foot Duo – Prezzybox £28.99

I don’t think you can really go wrong with some sort of cosmetics when it comes to Mother’s Day gifts so I had to include something that you can rub on your body in this guide. Again, from my favourite shop, Prezzybox, this sweet Personalised Soothing Hand and Foot Duo would make a great gift. Not only can it be personalised but they’re also made with natural ingredients and sourced locally. Win for Mum, win for the environemnt.

For the fitness loving Mum: 10kg Mini Dumbbell Weight Set – Mirafit £27.95

Unconventional gift idea? Perhaps. But like I said, we’re catering for all Mum’s here. And Mum’s workout too. This 10kg Mini Dumbbell Weight Set comes in either black or coloured (of course I went for the colourful ones!) and come stored in a handy case. With 0.5kg weights, 1kg weights, 1.5kg weights and 2kg weights inside, this set is the perfect starter weight set for those wanting to up their fitness or maybe just getting back into fitness after an extended period!

For the art loving Mum: Art By Lena from £2

I love featuring small businesses in gift guides because not only do they usually provide really unique gifts but you’re also, well, supporting a small business at the same time. And I’m always down for that. I love Lena’s artwork and purchased one of her Christmas decorations last Christmas which was a lovely addition to my tree so for any art loving Mum’s out there, this is a good place to look. From postcards, prints, notebooks and ornaments, you really can’t go wrong. The products featured in the images above:

For the organized Mum: Personalised Diary – TOAD from £12.94

I’m going to assume if you’re a Mum, you’re organised. Or at least, you try to be. Cos well, you kinda have to be. I’m not a Mum but I know if I ever am one, my organisational skills are going to come in VERY handy. If your Mum is a bit of an organisational wizard, these Personalised Diaries from TOAD is the gift for you! You can customize the cover and the writing and they sell ALL SORTS of organisational products – a literal heaven.

For the beauty loving Mum: lookfantastic Beauty Box £15.00 (for 1 month)

And finally, to cater for all the beauty loving Mum’s out there, it’s the lookfantastic beauty box. Although this one is technically the Valentine’s edition, I have no doubt that they’ll produce a box just as brilliant for Mother’s Day this month too. The range is this box is great, from masks, to oils, to make up and more. I can’t wait to get stuck in and try these products for myself. I think a beauty box makes a great gift for any occasion!

What do you think of this selection of gifts? What’s your favourite? What would you buy for your Mum / Mother figure? Or even for yourself?

  1. As always, you’ve picked a load of gifts that I kind of want to get for myself, not my mum haha! I love the look of the notebook and the art is beautiful, but the personalised hand and foot duo would also be a winner! So many excellent options. Also your photos are so beautiful. x

  2. I love these gifts! My Mum is also a big candle fan – that mojito one sounds amazing! I usually go for a posh gin for Mother’s Day and a massive bouquet of flowers! x

  3. Yes I think all mums love candles! Have you saw that quote “When your mum deserves the world but you can only afford a candle”.. that is legit my life and that Mojito Candle sounds amazing! I love the pretty prints and the personalised diary too! Great suggestions and amazing photos as always!! xx

  4. Lovely ideas! This mother’s day I am going to be getting mom a bit of a pricier present, but it’s something I know she needs. Thankfully I’ve been good with my savings!

  5. WOWO my mummy would love some of these gifts. It’s the perfect time to spoil our mums rotten and I can tell that yours is going to be super chuffed this year!

  6. My mum asked for a stargazing trip to an observatory this year (so specific) but I kind of want one of those light alarm clocks for myself. Maybe I can get myself one from Hugo… The mojito scented candle sounds amazing too x

  7. I MUST by some of Lena’s prints for my new room! They are so beautiful.

I like the idea of the clock as well, I’m up hours before rob and always struggle for light x

  8. Love the gift guide dear, great idea, I want everything. I know my mum would love the practical and self-care gift ideas. Thanks for making Mother’s Day gift giving easier.

  9. Ooh, scented candles are the best! I love the variety you have here; weights are a great idea but something I never even thought of. And who does not love a personalized message on a tin of relaxing salve?
That said, my favorite here is the alarm clock, mainly because it is cute and I want it! 🙂

  10. Now I have so many ideas far in advance!! 😉 This community is so supportive; I love that I see Lena’s artwork here & over on Bexa’s blog. I think I’d probably be most likely to get my mom something along those lines of stationary & prints; she always wants to send out cute cards & that, and I like getting her little bits she can hang up or put around her desk at work!

  11. I think something like a Birchbox is a perfect idea for a mum! I also love Art By Lena’s work and I think the Dumbells are the perfect idea for a fitness loving mum 🙂 x

  12. I think for this year I’ll be putting some money into helping her get some of the repairs done on her place, since she’s disabled and has a hard time affording/doing any repairs. I know it’ll definitely ease her mind to have some of those things taken care of!

  13. You’ve got some GREAT ideas! I am a big fan of practical gifts as well… so that alarm clock instantly stood out! I love that it’s dimmable, especially considering the fact that many couples aren’t always on the same schedule, so it wouldn’t disrupt your spouse if you’re checking it!

  14. All of these are such great ideas! I sometimes struggle with what things to get my mum for Mother’s Day but this will definitely help! I love the candle I bet it smells amazing and the prints are so pretty! X

  15. These are all great. I’ve never celebrated mothers day with my mum (as she always said, every day is mum’s day) and I never really thought I would do it with the kids, but they’ve been influenced by tv, and the last couple of years they’ve bought me gifts.
    Thanks for sharing

  16. These are such lovely ideas, Jenny! Your photography is gorgeous! I love the hand and foot cream, the design is so pretty and it’s so cute and thoughtful that you can personalize it too. Lena’s art is such a brilliant idea for a Mother’s Day gift too, everything she does is beautiful! Thank you for sharing these ideas! <3 xx
