AD – This is a paid advertorial but all thoughts are my own
I don’t know about you but I’m definitely excited to get back out there and go on dates to new and exciting places. Although I’m in a long term relationship, I guess most places my boyfriend and I go together could be considered a date location! And especially after a year of doing nothing I just want to get back out and experience the UK.
Today we’re focusing one one specific location: Hampshire. Because the UK is a big place and sometimes you might need some dating options which are more local to you. I’ve previous written dating posts for Staffordshire and Essex so Hampshire folk – this one’s for you!
If you’re ready to get back into the world of dating and you’re in the Hampshire area, this Hampshire dating site is perfect for you if you want to start local Hampshire dating. If you’re looking for fun date ideas, then these suggestions are perfect if you either live in Hampshire or are able to travel a couple of hours to reach them!
Marwell Zoo
I always love a day out to the zoo with my boyfriend and I think it’s such a lovely, chilled out date idea too. If you’re looking for a zoo or aquarium in Hampshire area there are plenty to choose from. Marwell Zoo is a beautiful 140 acre park, home to giraffes, rhino, penguins, red pandas and much, much more!
Funland Amusement Park Hayling Island
If you fancy being kids and heart for the day of your date, then Funland Amusement Park in Hayling Island is the one for you! Arguably not stocked with the biggest thrill rides like Alton Towers or Thorpe Park but Funland offers a great day out with some fun rides and memories to make.
Exbury Garden’s & Steam Railway
These utterly beautiful gardens will make a wonderful date idea if you’re around the Hampshire area. The gardens also feature a narrow-gauge steam railway that travels through the gardens themselves. I’m a fan of steam railways so I’d love to do this myself. You’ll be blown away by the beauty and tranquility of these gardens!
Jane Austen’s House
Visit the house when Jane Austen published all six of her known and loved classics, including Pride and Prejudice. What a romantic date idea! You can explore her home and garden and see where she wrote. Getting up close and personal to her items and including the table where she wrote her novels. I’m swooning just thinking about it.
A trip to the beach
A trip to the beach is always a good date idea if the weather is warm enough which hopefully in the comings months, it will be! In the Hampshire area, there are a few beaches to choose from depending on what you want, but you might want to consider Southsea Beach for a traditional seaside experience, Chichester Harbour for it’s beauty or Calshot Beach, next to Calshot Activities Centre.
Calshot Activities Centre
Which brings me nicely onto my final suggestion. If you’re not a fan of sitting still and relaxing on the beach then you might want to head to Calshot Activities Centre itself, which could provide a SUPER fun dating experience if you’re both a couple of adrenaline junkies. It’s one of the largest outdoor adventure centres in Britain and allows you to do watersports like power boating, activities like rock climbing and more!
If you’re in the Hampshire area, I’d love to hear your date ideas! Let me know in the comments!

I live in Hampshire and I’ve been to most of these so I can confirm this is a great list of places to go for a date! I loved going to Marwell zoo as a child but I haven’t been in such a long time – maybe another visit is due! x
Exbury gardens sounds amazing, totally my cup of tea! Great suggestions x
