ad | Sometimes, the longer you know someone, the harder it is to buy for them. You know them so well, you’ve already bought them everything you think they will like and you’ve come to learn and know what they like to receive as a gift as well as what might be a waste of time.

So sometimes we need a bit of inspiration and some ideas for the next occasion in which we will be buying gifts for.

I know we’re only in June but I also know that Christmas will be here again before we know it – it’s scary how quickly it comes around every year and it’s never too early to start thinking about gifts for a big celebration like Christmas.

Instead of thinking about who the person is to you – your mum, your dad, your best friend etc. – it can help to think of them as person that falls under a particular umbrella, such as book lover or adrenaline junkie.

This can help narrow down your search for the perfect gift and think about what they are like as a person, rather than who they are to you.

So in this post, we’re going to look at 10 super quick gift ideas for every sort of person in your life. An ideal one to save and bookmark for the big C celebration!

10 Quick Gift Ideas for Every Person in Your Life:

Book lovers

I fall under this category and I can safely say a gift card for a book shop is the best way to go. Lots of people think gift cards are a cop-out type gift but there’s nothing I like more than heading into a book shop after Christmas or after my birthday and spending an hour choosing books!

Your religious friend

This can be difficult if you’re not religious yourself but you want to respect and acknowledge your friend’s religious beliefs when buying them gifts. You could find a special Bible verse print or go for jewellery – that’s always a safe bet. For someone a bit more light-hearted, you could consider Christian clothing like Christian tee shirts or even Christian bags!

Travel addict

I feel like you could go either sentimentality or practicality here and you’d be safe. Sentimental travel items could include a scrapbook or a polaroid camera or for practicality, you could do a travel kit, an airplane kit or something else along those lines!

The one who doesn’t want anything

We all have one of these in our lives and they’re always the worst to buy for! Instead of anything physical, which they might not want or need, try an experience instead. Perhaps an afternoon tea for two or taking them out to dinner and a film.

The love of your life

Even someone who you know like the back of your hand and love more than anything in the world can be difficult to buy for! I’d suggest an experience for the two of you, something neither of you have done before or plan a full day of fun and activities where you can make more lovely memories!

Adrenaline junkie

If you’re booking an experience for an adrenaline junkie, they’re probably not going to want an afternoon tea! Instead, try something like bungee jumping or a gliding experience. Or get them tickets for their favourite theme park!

The one who likes being cosy

I love these people because they’re generally easy to buy for. Candles, blankets, books or plants usually go down very well with them. Perhaps a little cosy hamper would be a super cute gift idea!

The outdoorsy person

Similarly to the travel addict, you could go sentimental or practical and you’d be safe. Perhaps check in on their next outdoorsy adventure and see if you can buy them anything for that or if that fails, a gift card could be a good option here too, so they can save a bit of money on something they need.

The workaholic

For workaholics, you could either buy them something to aid their work life or to help them switch off. You know your person best. Perhaps a new laptop case or briefcase, a new work diary or stationery for their desk. Or perhaps you go the opposite way and gift them bath bombs, entrance to a Yoga class or something that will help them unwind.

Eco-friendly friends

I think a little hamper would be a great gift idea for these people as you could include lots of different eco-friendly products from eco-friendly brands for them to use and try. Anything from food, cleaning supplies, skincare or make up.

What sort of people do you struggle to buy for the most?
