Q&A; Blogging, dreams, books & travel!

Good morning folks. It’s been a hot minute since I did a Q&A around here where the questions came from actual people on Twitter (as opposed to my Random Question Generator Q&A) and my blog followers have grown quite considerably since then. So if you’re new around here, first of all, hi! I’m so glad you could join us and second of all, here’s a little bit more about me and I’ll try and make my answers as interesting as possible but I can’t promise anything.

2018 travel bucket list *

I’m not a huge traveler in the sense that you probably won’t ever find me backpacking around Thailand or moving to Australia for a year. Firstly, those places are far too hot for my delicate ginger complexion but mostly, it’s just not my sort of thing. I love a holiday – as most of us do – but lengthy travel isn’t for me. However, lately, I’ve discovered that there are plenty of places I would absolutely love to visit. In an ideal world, if I were to win a hefty amount on the lottery, I’d certainly be booking some holidays and short breaks to the places in this list. But in the meantime, I can just dream. Here’s my 2018 travel bucket list (or where I’d go if I won the lottery!)

GUEST POST: Lynsey James’s Ultimate Bucket List (& Giveaway!)

Last month I reviewed Lynsey James’s new book, The Season of Hopes and Dreams (which you can find my review of here) and today I’m thrilled to also be taking part in her blog tour. This book was really fun and light-hearted and also covered some really important topics and situations. One of those was a bucket list, that the main character, Cleo, had made after she lost her way in an accident and her dream of being a dancer was shattered. I’m hosting a guest post from Lynsey today where she’s sharing her very own bucket list! You can also find information about the book and a giveaway to win a copy at the bottom!

33 Before 33

This year, I turn 23. I’m very much enjoying my 20’s but can’t help but think about how quickly it’ll be over (translation: I’m having a premature quarter life crisis) and how many things I’d still like to achieve while I’m still young. So.. Lo and behold, my 33 before 33 list. A 10 year bucket list, if you will.

I’ve concocted a list of things I’d like to do and achieve before I’m 33; some are quite unrealistic others, I know I will be doing – I wanted a mixture of things with varying degrees of difficulty and impact.

The Bucket List

A while ago I watched The Bucket List starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. For those that don’t know, The Bucket List is a comedy about two terminally ill men who escape from their hospital ward to go and do all the things they want to do before they die. It’s an absolutely wonderful film that will make you cry with both laughter and sadness. Whilst watching it, it got me thinking about my own non-existent “Bucket List”. I always make a list at the start of every year of things I want to do but they’re usually so weird and ridiculous they don’t happen.

I decided to give up with yearly bucket list but have been thinking about all these big, life-altering things I want to do so I decided to take the plunge and make myself a proper bucket list. Although my situation at the moment might not be ideal for some of these things to happen, I’m sure somewhere along the line it will be. Looking at it now, some of these things seem impossible and un-doable but I have faith that some point in my life I will be brave enough and under the right circumstances to full fill these dreams. Here are a couple of the things I’ve included in my list.

1. Visit Koh Phi Phi in Thailand

Where The Beach was filmed, Koh Phi Phi is the setting of one of my all time favourite books and films. It’s beautiful and probably the thing that’s at the very top of my list. If I was ever lucky enough to go I don’t think I’d ever want to come home. Continue reading “The Bucket List”
