Over the last 6 years or so, I’ve started spending most of my time at home. There’s a bunch of reasons for why this is which I’m not going to go into but going from a teenager who was basically never at home, to someone who spends most of their time there, it’s a pretty huge change. But sometimes you really can’t beat a day or an evening at home. Going to the cinema, to the zoo or out for a meal is all great fun but sometimes, a chill day and night at home without having to worry about going anywhere at all is absolutely ideal. Especially now the weather is getting colder and I’m sure chill homey days will become more common for a lot of people! Here are some of my absolute essentials for a perfect chill day at home!
I think you’ll agree with me when I say the ‘cosy night in‘ the new ‘big night out‘. I’ve been championing the ‘night in‘ since I hit my 20’s when I realised I’d much rather be in my fleecy pyjama bottoms, eating a pizza and watching my favourite shows rather than getting pushed and shoved around in a hot, crowded club where your shoes get stuck to the floor amiright? Why would you when in this age of technology we’re in now, there’s so much going for the night in. Food can be ordered on our phone at the push of a button (or 12, if you’re me ordering from the Domino’s website and want all of the sides) and our favourite movies and shows can be watched on TV’s such as the 4KTV Panasonic in such high quality we may as well be at the cinema.
I honestly cannot believe I am already writing this post. A part of me can’t comprehend that 2017 – the year that started approximately 45 minutes ago – is almost over. Fuck. I mean… fuuuuuck. Where has the time gone? Seriously? Did a Demogorgon eat it? (Cheeky lil reference for y’all Stranger Things lovers) But alas, here we are. Almost at the end of another topsy, turvy year. And it’s time for me to look back and reflect on some of the good things that happened.
Places, holidays, days out etc.
It’s another tag post today (again because I’m running low on blog post ideas and I found this one on Little Owl Loves blog and thought it was cute! I wasn’t technically tagged in it – ooh rebel) and I love my bed and I love sleeping so I thought a bedtime tag was perfect for me! I’ve also recently bought some gorgeous new bedding so this is a great opportunity to show it off!
I’m a keen series watcher and always have been. Most of the time I’ll prefer watching a series than a movie because I find you can get so much more invested in the characters and the story of a show compared to a film (unless it’s like 7 films long cough cough Harry Potter). There’s nothing I love more than finding a brand new series that I’m hooked on from the beginning but there’s also something super special about re-watching your old favorites. My boyfriend and I were talking about our favourite shows the other night which is what prompted this post and I can’t wait to chat shows and series with you in the comments! Here are some of my all-time faves.
