I know this topic has been done to absolute death on blogs and when I started writing more Disney related posts a couple of months ago, I thought I wouldn’t bother writing about my favourite films because like, does anyone really care? But after I put a poll out with a couple of Disney-related options on it, it turns out, that people do actually like reading these posts. If you’re a Disney fan, you’re going to be interested in what Disney things other Disney fans like – I assume!
I recently blogged about what Disney means to me and that was a post I really enjoyed writing. Disney is a huge part of my life, my self and my childhood so I would like to blog about it more. I’m not a collector of Disney merch. In fact, I’m not a collector of anything because I hate hoarding stuff and literally throw everything away at the first chance I get. However, I do have some treasured Disney items at home that I absolutely love and that mean a lot to me. I might not have four thousand Tsum Tsum’s or all the movies on DVD but in no particular order, here are 5 of my favourite Disney items I own!
Peter Pan Book
A little while ago, I ran a poll on Twitter asking what kind of posts you’d like to see more of from me. I’m sure most of the people who voted just voted on the general kind of blog posts they like reading from anyone – not me specifically (I don’t think I’m that special) but still, I like to take on board what people enjoy reading and try and cater to that. One of the most popular options was Disney. Which surprised me a little bit. I know there’s a humongous Disney community on Twitter but there’s also a humongous amount of people who aren’t that bothered about Disney or who like it but wouldn’t necessarily go out of their way to read Disney related blog posts.
Despite the fact I might not like my birthday very much and that 25 seems to be this big ol’ daunting year for me, I do love a birthday gift haul. I love reading them myself because I’m nosy and love to see why other people got for the birthdays and the kinda stuff they like. I also love writing them myself and taking photos of my presents as it gives me a chance to reflect and be grateful all over again for the gifts I received for my birthday. So here’s my 25th birthday gift haul!
I’ll start with a selection of gifts which I actually asked for. Despite being 25 now, my mum still goes “all-out” on my birthday even though I tell her not to spend a lot of money on me. So this year I had in mind a few items which I really wanted that I knew she could get me which wouldn’t break the bank. (Also, sorry about the not-too-brilliant photos, I still haven’t got the hang of this picture taking lark).
I really love doing fun and personal posts every now and again and I recently stumbled upon Gabriella’s video about ’10 things she would save in a fire‘. This video was intended to be done as a video ‘tag’ but as you’re well aware that I definitely, 100% do not do YouTube I decided to make it into a blog post instead! But credit to Gabby for creating the tag in the first place and you can find her video here. I really enjoyed doing this and thinking of the items I would save; it really makes you realise what is sentimental to you and what isn’t and I was surprised by some of my choices. So let’s assume every human in my house is clever enough to get out themselves, with everything left, here’s the 10 things I would save If my house was on fire *but touch wood it won’t be*.
That’s what the grown-ups will do with it if they ever make it to Neverland to steal its magic and bring their children home. However, Gwen doesn’t know this. She’s just a sixteen-year-old girl with a place on the debate team and a powerful crush on Jay, the soon-to-be homecoming king. She doesn’t know her little sister could actually run away with Peter Pan, or that she might have to chase after her to bring her home safe. Gwen will find out thought – and when she does, she’ll discover she’s in the middle of a looming war between Neverland and reality.
She’ll be out of place as a teenager in Neverland, but she won’t be the only one. Peter Pan’s constant treks back to the mainland have slowly aged him into adolescence as well. soon, Gwen will have to decide whether she’s going to join impish, playful Peter in his fight or eternal youth… or if she’s going to scramble back to reality in time for the homecoming dance. I love every aspect of a Disneyland Paris holiday: from the journey on the Eurostar, the hotel, the parades and the character meets. But the rides and attractions also play a huge part of the holiday for me. I’m not a lover of big, big rides so Disneyland is ideal for me because most of the rides aren’t too scary but some are just enough to give you a thrill! I’ve spent many an hour queuing for all the rides at Disneyland Paris so here are some of my favourites.
