Simple ways to save and budget on your family holiday *

I’m sure most of us are familiar with the feeling of getting back from holiday, checking out bank account and having to do a double or triple take at the figure in front of our eyes. I visited The Lake District back in 2015 and splashed away hundreds and hundreds of pounds on top of the price of the cottage and found myself frantically ringing my Mum one day when we were out exploring because neither of us had our bank cards and I looked in my purse and had no money for petrol! It was either embarrassingly ring my Mum and ask her to save me or be stranded in the middle of The Lake District. I can handle a bit of embarrassment!

February goals: How did I do?

My, my, my. February is over alreaaaaady. I can straight up say that February was a much better month for me than January was. I went to the zoo, visited my boyfriend’s family in Lincolnshire for the week, got excited about all the Formula 1 shenanigans like the car launches and the beginning of testing (although it’s a mighty shame I wasn’t in Barcelona but hey ho!) and blogged to my hearts content. But how did I do on my goals? Let’s find out!

February goals

I really really enjoyed writing and working on my January goals last month. I found that setting myself small and realistic goals worked absolute wonders. I love January – even the cold weather, if you know me at all you’ll already know that I adore the cold! I love stepping into a New Year with the “anything can happen, it’s a brand new start” mindset and although that’s totally cliché and you certainly don’t need a new year in order to make changes in your life, for me, it helps and I always feel inspired and positive at this time of the year. So… Let’s see how well I put that into practice and how I did with my January goals!

Some current goals: an update

On 26th June, I wrote a post about some current goals I had at that point. My target for these goals was my birthday which is on 4th September. Well, it’s the 1st today so we’re only a few days away and how did I do? Did I achieve any of my goals? I’m taking a look back at them today and seeing how I did!

Some current goals

I wasn’t actually planning on posting anything else until July but I figured it’s a good a place as any for general ramblings about stuff I’m feeling right now. So I wanted to talk about and share some current goals I have at this moment in time for the month/s ahead. They’re mostly blog related, unless I think of any random thins I want to do like skydiving. Hahahah, nope.
