ad | It’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas and, considering they’ve already started getting the Christmas decor out in Dunelm, I’m well and truly already starting to think about it! I’m starting early with gift guides and Christmas content this year, so let’s start with some gift ideas for teachers.

It’s likely you know a teacher. Whether it’s a sibling, your best friend or a cousin, most of us have a teacher in our lives somehow, even if we don’t go to school or have children of school age.

It’s not likely you’ll be buying your child’s teacher extravagant gifts for Christmas – although a few of these might be a good idea for little stocking stuffer type gifts for your child’s teacher – so these ideas are more for the teacher in your life to make their life easier and put a smile on their face this Christmas.

Because teachers are fantastic and work so hard, whatever class or year or speciality. And that’s definitely worth celebrating and treating the teachers in your life!

Here are 5 gift ideas for teachers this Christmas:

A new book bag

Teachers have a lot of books, so a new teacher bag to carry their books to class could be a nice and practical idea for a Christmas gift. Brands like teachergive have the option to personalise these cool teacher tote bags as well.

Self care gifts

Teachers definitely need a rest over the Christmas period, so I think self care gifts would go down well with any teacher. Something they can indulge in, which allows them to spend some time on themselves. Self care gifts could include:

Books

Books always make great gifts. I’ll take that to my grave. And for teachers who, likely love books, they make perfect Christmas gifts! If you know the sort of genre they like, then that’s an absolute bonus. Or perhaps a Waterstones voucher for them to spend on books.

Or if you’re really going all out with the bookish gifts, perhaps a cute little bookish hamper, with books, teas/coffees, fluffy socks and a candle for a proper cosy reading night in.

Luxury tea or coffee

I don’t think you’ll find a teacher that doesn’t love tea or coffee so perhaps as a real treat for Christmas, you could gift them some luxury teas or coffees. You know, the type they WON’T be drinking in the staffroom at school!

A pamper day / a massage / a manicure

Depending on how well you know this person or how close you are, a pamper-themed gift might be the perfect choice after a hard term for them in school. Maybe a pamper day that you can do together would be nice or a voucher for a massage they can have in their own time.

If you’re a teacher, I’d love to hear what the ideal gift you think is!
