I am not a beauty blogger and I won’t for 1 minute pretend that I know what I’m doing. I don’t. If you knew some of my “beauty” habits, you would be appalled. But, just because I can’t tell my lip liners from my eye liners (bit of an exaggerations but you get what I mean) doesn’t mean I don’t use, you know, stuff and have some products that I use regularly or are passionate about. I was hoping it may encourage me to try different types of posts and this is one of those. So, today I’m talking about 5 of my favourite “beauty-ish” products right now.
Liz Earle Orange Flower Botanical Body Wash
This is a relatively new product which I only received on my birthday last month and was a gift from my mum (actually it was a free gift from something else you cheapskate – I joke) but I absolutely adore it and I go to extreme lengths to make sure nobody else uses it when they’re in the shower. I recently wrote about my new Liz Earle skincare routine and briefly mentioned this in that post. The Orange Flower Body Wash smells gorgeous and I love the packaging too.
Bare Minerals Lip Quickie Glossy
This was a lovely gift from author and presenter Julia Roberts (look at me with friends on the TV) and I was shocked by how perfect the shade was for me. I’m not a huge lip product wearing, never have been but there are a handful of products which I love because they’re subtle (Have you seen me in bright lipstick? Hahahahahaha) and this is one of them. It’s just the most gorgeous shade (fig luster) and I’ve never used Bare Minerals before but am very impressed!
Tropic Skincare Sculpting Palette
I cannot contour. I won’t pretend I can but when I do attempt it, I won’t use anything else but this Sculpting Palette from Tropic Skincare. This was actually a giveaway prize that I received a good few months ago now (I wrote about the other products I received from that giveaway here) and I was super duper impressed with their products. This palette is really subtle (perfect for a beginner like me!) and the corally/pink blush is hella cute.
O.P.I Nail Lacquer in Sailing & Nail-ing
Finally, it’s this gorgeous, gorgeous nail polish from O.P.I which I have on my toes right now. I love blue, I find it such a calming colour and this is just the most perfect blue I have ever, ever seen. It’s not too ‘baby’ but not too dark or harsh it’s just the perfect blue. There’s no other way to describe it. It looks gorgeous on too but you’re not getting a picture of my feet, soz. This was my first venture into O.P.I and big thumbs up from me.
[…] One lipstick that always ends up in my rotation however, is the fig luster shade by Bare Minerals, which I first discovered in Jenny’s post where she talked about her favourite products. […]
I sniffed that cleanser a while back and thought it smelt gorgeous, but i’ve got others to use up atm so maybe next time. I love Sanctuary products, the smell is just amazing and so long-lasting. I really want to get their bath product and they’ve also brought out a candle which I can’t wait to try. x
Ooh I haven’t heard of those, I’ll have a butchers 🙂
The lip colour looks gorgeous! I hate expensive body washes, you get to the end of them and the next one you buy (on offer in the local supermarket) gives you an awful shock! (Once got a set of Molten Brown shower gels. There were four and they took me a year to get through as I alternated with cheaper shower gels but then after that every time I felt I needed a pick me up I’d be gutted!)
It is gorgeous – I’m wearing it today! That’s a good idea, alternating each time so the nice, expensive ones don’t get used as quickly
I have a nail polish in a similar colour to the O.P.I one and I wear it all the time!! It’s such a nice colour 🙂
It’s gorgeous isn’t it?
I don`t know if you get N SPA products but they are the only ones which actually make my skin feel so smooth and clean like it used to. I start with Melting Gel cleanser, Face Polish scrub then beauty flash serum and finally skin brightening moisturiser.

I’ve never heard of them but will definitely have a look at the link, thanks!
