ad collaborative post // With Mother’s Day just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to find a gift that shows your mum just how much you appreciate her. It can be overwhelming trying to pick something special out – there’s so many options! When it comes to buying gifts, a good rule of thumb is that if you want to keep it for yourself, you’re probably on the money. With that in mind, here are our top picks for Mother’s Day gifts that are so good, you won’t want to part with them.

Lovingly selected skin care products

Skin care has never been more popular, and for good reason. There’s no better feeling than taking care of your skin – and your body will thank you for it. So, if you’re looking for a gift that will make mum feel special, why not get her some luxurious skin care products?

There’s an infinite amount of products to choose from. It might be a good time to top up your mum’s favourite lotion, or branch out and give her something new to try that you know she’ll love. Opt for a beauty gift set or even make one yourself – full of all her favourite products!

If you want something a little more out-of-the-box, find her a beauty gadget, like a facial steamer tool, which helps to purify and hydrate. Or try a mini facial toning device, which helps cleanse, tone and soften skin.

Massage voucher…need I say more?

The ultimate crowd pleaser, you can never go wrong with a massage gift voucher. Take some time to research her local massage therapists so you can find the most convenient option for her.

Keep in mind the type of massage she might enjoy most – perhaps something calming, like a Swedish relaxation massage? Or one that targets tense and knotted muscles, like a remedial massage? For many mums, a massage isn’t something they’d normally treat themselves to, so a trip to her local parlour might be just the kind of luxury she needs.

Plus, if you have the budget it makes for the perfect girls day out for Mother’s Day!

Beautiful homewares that she’ll keep forever

There’s nothing like a beautiful piece of home décor to really make a kitchen or dining room pop. Why not brighten up her home with an eye-catching ceramic or glassware number? This could be a funky vase, a decorative platter or a coloured-glass decanter. You can also go for soft and cosy like a brand new throw blanket or her favourite printed pillows.

If you want to stay within a certain budget, you can easily create your own beautiful decor item that she’ll treasure for years to come. Think photo frames that display family memories or a scrapbook that makes for the perfect coffee table scrapbook. A well-thought out piece can be a really special gift that she’ll keep for years to come.

Take her picnics to the next level

Does your mum love to get out in the sunshine and socialise with friends? Why not deck out her picnic basket with a range of goodies like beautiful (plastic) plates or an an insulated wine set. This is the perfect accompaniment for Sunday afternoon wines in the park.

Easy to transport, it will also keep her wine cool and safe from being knocked over on uneven grass. You can also go for a large picnic rug or even a new esky to keep all her food cold!

With all the social distancing over the last few years, picnics have really come back into vogue, and there are now so many handy things you can buy to really up your mum’s picnic game.

Single-serve coffee machine

If your mum is a coffee lover, then invest in asnazzy coffee machine so she can enjoy cafe-grade coffee from the comfort of her own home. There are so many choices available at various price points. If you’re looking for something that’s easier on the pockets, check out Nespresso capsule coffee makers, and if you want the real deal, complete with a grinder and a steam wand, DeLonghi and Breville both make excellent machines.

Portable bluetooth speaker

Take your mum’s audio set up to the next level with a portable bluetooth speaker, which will enable her to listen to all her favourite music or podcasts from any room in the house – or even outside! Wonderboom has a great range of portable bluetooth speakers all at various price points, making it easy to find one she’s sure to fall in love with.

  2. Great ideas for Mother’s Day! I like the picnic basket idea because it insures a fun outing in the outdoors. There is nothing quite like a picnic. As a themed basket, you could do so much with this. 🙂
