Over the last few months, I’ve seen loads of my favourite bloggers collaborating with each other on posts and quite frankly guys… I felt a little left out *wipes tear*. I kid but seriously, I’ve seen a ton of blogger collaborations and I wanted in because they look fun and it’s always a chance to support another blogger at the same time so win, win in my opinion! Lisa from Lisa’s Notebook, who’s became a good blogging friend over the last year asked me if I’d like to collaborate in October so of course I said yes and of course I suggested a Autumn-themed collaboration.
I love trying new products and having a blog has allowed me to try a whole range of products which I probably wouldn’t have heard of before, which I’m very grateful for. PAIRFUM is a chic collection of organic products, which range from skincare to candles, room sprays and more. With quite a focus on scents, all their products come in a range of scents which are fresh, feminine or floral and would leave your room (or body!) smelling absolutely delicious. I was kindly sent two of the PARIFUM skin care products to try and test and here are my thoughts!
I bloody love Winter. After Autumn, Winter is my second favourite season as I adore the cold and thrive in these colder months. I love wearing cosy jumpers, freezing cold walks with the dog, hearty food which warms your stomach, all the twinkling lights and starting my Christmas shopping. Although I’m not mad about Christmas Day too much, I love the Christmas and Winter ‘aesthetic’ – it’s truly the prettiest and cutest time of the year. So I’ve put together a little Winter wish list of things which are super cute which I would love to own this time of the year. You can find links to each product below! Happy shopping!
Despite the fact I might not like my birthday very much and that 25 seems to be this big ol’ daunting year for me, I do love a birthday gift haul. I love reading them myself because I’m nosy and love to see why other people got for the birthdays and the kinda stuff they like. I also love writing them myself and taking photos of my presents as it gives me a chance to reflect and be grateful all over again for the gifts I received for my birthday. So here’s my 25th birthday gift haul!
I’ll start with a selection of gifts which I actually asked for. Despite being 25 now, my mum still goes “all-out” on my birthday even though I tell her not to spend a lot of money on me. So this year I had in mind a few items which I really wanted that I knew she could get me which wouldn’t break the bank. (Also, sorry about the not-too-brilliant photos, I still haven’t got the hang of this picture taking lark).
Guys, guys, GUYS… It’s August and I have my first Christmas post up. Me… the person that hates Christmas – has a Christmas post up. In August. I’m actually really surprised at myself because I’ve been thinking about Christmas more than is normal for me lately – maybe because I am just so sick of summer, I’m willing it to hurry up and leave so we can get back into Autumn and Winter, fluffy jumpers and socks and Christmas shopping again. Anyway! I’ve mentioned before that I adore buying gifts for people. The whole process of finding the perfect gift is so special and I put so much time and energy into gift buying. I’d love to start my Christmas shopping earlier this year as well, so here is a small gift guide; sponsored by Uncommon Goods, so you can find all these gorgeous products on their website!
Through the Woods Tealight Holder
My mum absolutely loves candles – the more candles in the house the better! And you can bet during the evening, she always has at least one candle lit. This is always amplified at Christmas and that’s not surprising, as Christmas is the perfect time for lots of pretty candles to compliment the tree and the fairy-lights. I absolutely adore this tealight holder – tealights are so easy and cheap to get hold of and you can usually buy them in huge packs so you don’t run out for a long time. This tealight holder is absolutely stunning and although it’s not officially “Christmassy”, I think it could look so gorgeous lit up on Christmas Eve. This would be a perfect present for my mum! I am my mother’s daughter in that I love candles. Big, small, scented, un-scented, Yankee, own-brand – you name it, I love going into a shop and sticking my face in a bunch of gorgeous candles. Like, when they’re un-lit, of course. We have more candles in our house than we know what to do with but when Candles With Love contacted me asking if I’d like to review some of their candles, I wasn’t going to say no, was I? I like to think I have enough experience in candle sniffing to be a reliable judge of what makes a decent candle or not.
Over the past year or so, I’ve found myself becoming more and more passionate about food, cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. I didn’t quite realise how much of a hobby this would become for me but I’ve very much enjoyed trying new foods and experimenting with new recipes and equipment. I tend to stick to the more savoury side, as that’s what I appear to be a little better at but today, I’m trying my hand at making something completely new: Ice cream.
