Throughout July, I was very lucky to receive some amazing things in the post. As a blogger, as I’m sure a lot of you will understand, post time can be your favourite time of day and the postman can become your best friend. I get along really well with my postman now as he’s always bringing me parcels! Anyway, I worked with some great brands and received some amazing books in the post this past month so I wanted to share them with you here along with some other goodies! I’m also thinking of maybe doing one of these ‘stuff hauls’ every month! What do you think?
I’m all for celebrating milestones. In blogging, in business, in life, damn it if you’ve done something you’re proud of, reached a goal or milestone then you should sure as hell celebrate that – however big or small. I’ve done that since I started blogging and 4 years down the line, I don’t plan on stopping. So… today I would like to celebrate hitting 2,500 unique blog followers. Eeeeek! That may seem like a miniscule number to some, a huge number to others; we’re all on different paths and different points in our blogging “careers” but I definitely believe that we should celebrate our own and other people’s achievements. And for me, hitting 2.5k blog followers is an achievement. Especially after so mny blogging breaks and periods of not knowing whether I even wanted to continue blogging.
When I started book blogging, over 2 years ago now, I had no idea what I was doing. I didn’t really fully understand what blogging – dedicated blogging – entailed and I wasn’t aware of how big the whole blogging community was. I’ve met a ton of people online; bloggers and authors. Some are acquaintances, some I no longer speak to, some I don’t get along with and others who have become firm friends. Not only did I not understand how many people there were to meet in the blogging world, I also didn’t understand quite how important having online friends would be to me.
I am absolutely thrilled to be taking part and to have organised the cover reveal for Lynsey James’ second book, “The Broken Hearts Book Club” today and I was even more thrilled when I received the cover and saw how absolutely gorgeous it is! I loved “Just The Way You Are” – the story and the cover and you can always rely on Carina for a stunning cover! So… Without further ado, here is the cover for “The Broken Hearts Book Club“… Continue reading
I was tagged by the lovely Leanne to take part in this tag, ‘8 Photos of Happiness’. I thought it was such a beautiful and uplifting idea that I had to give it a go. Just 8 photos with a short description of why it was a happy moment. So simple but effective and sometime, photos really do speak a thousand words.
This tag was originally created by Ariel’s Little Corner of the Internet and the intention is simple. Share 8 photos that represent a moment, object, place or feeling that makes you happy. Then tag others to share their own photos! So lo and behold, here are my 8 photos!

I did come home from holiday to a lot of lovely bookpost which I will share with you below! Here’s what’s been going on in Neverland this May…

If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll have become aware by now that I’m currently working on my own novel. I know what you’re thinking, “Sigh. Another blogger who’s writing a book” and whilst yes, a lot of bloggers start writing books I think it’s great that so many people have aspirations to write. I’ve not mentioned it properly on my blog yet but I feel that now is the right time to do so and although I’m still in the early stages, I’m extremely excited about it.
I started writing this particular book over a year ago. I made a good start and was super enthusiastic about it but then I crashed a burned. I realised that writing wasn’t for me and that I should stick to what I know; reviewing other people’s books. That was until my best friend Lynsey James got her publishing deal when I realised that I probably could do this, if I set my mind to it. I could finish a manuscript and it didn’t matter how long it took me as long as I didn’t stop, I would get there eventually. Continue reading

Blurb: Dear Ava,
How do you start writing a letter to someone, six years after breaking their heart?
Ava is unlucky in love as well as in life. The new office bitch has landed the dating column Ava wanted, and she can’t remember the last time she had a second date. It’s a good thing she has best friends Max and Gwen to pick up the pieces.
Deep down, Ava knows the reason why one date never turns into two – she’s in love with someone else. Someone she’s never even met.
It all started six years ago, with a letter from a secret admirer, Mr Writer…but then they suddenly stopped and Ava was heartbroken.
Now the letters have started again and Ava knows it could mean winning back the dating column at work. This time she’s determined to unmask Mr Writer…and find out once and for all if he’s Mr Right or Mr Very Definitely Wrong! Continue reading
So this probably won’t be the most professional cover reveal you’ve ever seen but quite frankly I don’t care because it’s not every day you can tell people that your best friend has a novel being published! “Just The Way You Are” is the debut novel by Lynsey James and today is super exciting because her, Carina UK and a bunch of bloggers get to reveal the beautiful cover!
I only met Lynsey around the end of 2013, through Twitter when we both had an interest in dogs. We started chatting more and more and by April last year, it was pretty obvious that we’d developed an extremely close friendship. I am so incredibly proud of her in getting a book deal, especially with Carina UK as they are such a fantastic publishers. She puts her heart and soul into her writing and it’s amazing to see her dream finally coming true! Anyway, onto the cover! Continue reading
